SEARS AUTO CTR

This was a miserable experience from start to finish! This Sears Auto Center installed tires for my wife back in December. The left rear tire lost pressue within two days of the brand new tire's installation. When my wife took the car back in a few days later, she was advised that they wouldn't fix the issue they created because she didn't buy roadside assistance. When they later identified that the issue was due to a rim leak created by the installer, the costs were waived. The tire seemed to be ok for the next month, but began losing pressure again and eventually went completely flat. When I went to put air in the tire, the valve stem completely broke off, so we took it back to the shop on January 26. When we checked in at 12:30 PM, we were told it would take 1.5-2 hours. About an hour later, they left a message on my wife's phone that they discovered another issue they needed to discuss before proceeding. My wife called them 5 minutes later and was advised that someone in the shop would have to call her back and they should do so within the hour. When we did not hear back from them by 4:00 pm, we returned to the shop and they said they were waiting for her to call back (which she had already done). She told them to proceed with the repair, but they would need to be prompt as we had been waiting for 3.5 hours and had an obligation we were now late for. We were advised it would only take about ten minutes. After another 30 minutes I finally went to get the mechanic to get the paperwork. At the same time, they were frantically trying to locate the paperwork for another customer. When they didn't find it, that customer had to wait for everything to be written up a second time. No of the employees made any effort to apologize for all of the inconvenience they had caused and just used the excuse that "they were busy." When we left and reviewed our paperwork, we discovered that they other customer's papers were mixed in with ours (thus exposing his personal information). As a final insult to injury, a mechanic called my wife 10 minutes after we left saying that he was returning her call from 1:45. We will not be using this store again in the future, and it is likely we will never go to another Sears Auto Center. We have advised all of our friends to learn from our lesson.
