I needed an HVAC company to replace my gas water heater as I needed my 20 year old chimney liner replaced as part of the job. Dan Wood replaced my hot water tank a month ago, but I cannot get them to return my call (over a 3-4 week period, I left 3 messages including speaking with customer service people and sent one email to their admin account) to quote me on the chimney liner replacement. Disappointing as I have been a loyal customer as I used them to replace my furnace and central AC unit last year. I would not recommend them based on this lack of customer service.

So far he has done a great job and I would hire him again.

Technician was on time, very professional, and got the system working again.

I called at 7:30 AM and got an appointment from 1:00 - 3:00 for a plumber to come to the house. At 3:30 a called to ask if plumber was still coming, they said they would call me back. At 4:15 still no call so I called them adn they said that a plumber was not available, but they could come out on Monday (this was a friday). Could not even provide me a emergency service at a normal apporintment price. I will never use this company again!!!

We have used Dan Wood Plumbing and Heating since we purchased our home in 2012. These folks are a pleasure to work with and the quality of their bi-annual inspections and any repairs required are outstanding. For our last inspection on Thursday, May 17, Joe (who has performed all our previous inspections) arrived promptly at 8AM, performed a thorough inspection and evaluation of both our 2 furnaces and air conditioners and replaced the filters for both of our high efficiency air cleaners. The quality of work performed is excellent as usual. We recommend Dan Wood Plumbing and Heating to anyone requiring quality HVAC inspections and repairs. These folks continue to do good work!

Great job, very nice technicians. It took a bit over an hour to diagnose the problem and clean the drain. There was a 50.00 first time customer coupon available. The coupon reduced the cost considerably.

They came on time but the location of the leak behind the wall was not found yet. Had to wait for a carpenter to cut a hole in wall. The plumber left during this time but still charged a fee for coming out and the time spent before deciding to leave. No work done during this time. Had to reschedule for someone new to come out after hole was cut, but was going to get charged a second time for sending someone out. Was able to get this charge waived after explaining the situation. The plumber's work was done fast and professionally. The fix is good but the charges caught us off-guard as they were not explained clearly when setting up the first appointment.

We talked with several companies and got bids from 3. Dan Wood was second lowest and offered a more credible leading furnace / AC manufacturer than the low bidder (the low bidder offered equipment from Coleman, which didn't seem to be a competitive choice from our internet / Consumer Reports research). For a couple hundred more, we chose Dan Wood and their offerings from Carrier. They showed up on time and completed the work in the two days they had estimated. Everything went well and we have had no problems. They were flexible in "re-using" our already existing humidifier and Nest thermostat. They were careful in their clean-up afterward. The total cost (after manufacturer and utility rebates) was $6,700.

Due to the nature of the leak and damage, multiple trips were required. It was NOT a pleasant job! Ryan never complained and did everything perfectly, cleaned up completely, always on time, etc.

They are very professional and I have worked with them for a long time. They always come when they say they are coming. They call if they can't come. Their estimates are accurate and their work is guaranteed. The cost is reasonable.

Lost two weeks of time for starting this project.

Called them at 6:45 AM and they were at my house by 8:15 to make the necessary repairs to the furnace. The technician replaced the ignition coil, showing me the old part indicating where and why if failed. He didn't have the exact replacement part on his truck but rather than trying to make what he had work, he made a quick trip to a parts store a few blocks away and got the exact replacement ignition coil needed. He then finished up by performing a thorough job of making sure that was the only problem.

Dan Wood was very responsive in arriving on site to look at the project. The project was much more involved than they originally thought, so we set up a half day appointment at a later date. Adam was the Tech who worked on our project. He had to remove dry wall on other side of bathroom, disassemble then solder together new shutoffs and new piping to replace the valve in very tight space. Adam was taking calls while he was working on our project, but did a good job with the project. Overall we were very happy with the project.

Good quality work and their responsiveness. They get it done quickly. I would use them again in the future.

I have used Dan Wood Plumbing and Heating for installation of new water heaters, a new furnace and a new air conditioner in two previous condominium homes and purchased a yearly service contract for my current home heating and cooling system as a result of the excellent service experience. For this visit, my air conditioning system (consisting of two air conditioners) was inspected, cleaned and evaluated. All work was performed June 2 as scheduled. Tecnician Mark also recommended that each air conditioner compressor capacitor be replaced and that work is scheduled for June 27. I recommend Dan Wood Plumbing and Heating based on my continued excellent service experience for any of your home heating, cooling and plumbing systems.

I have been using them over several years. I used those folks for stuff like plugged up drains, sewer cleaning, I have some bathrooms remodeled and I thought it would be prudent to have the drains cleaned out before they did that and they did that. I also have them install a second water meter. At the same they also installed a whole house water filter system. They are good people. I had them I think last year late summer. The approximate cost of that particular service was about $400. I had plugged up drains between two bathrooms jointly service and they had to go onto the outside clean out and work all the way back and they going down the crawl space so it's a challenge because some crawl spaces you could even stand up and mine you want to get from the front of the house and back at the house you literally on your hands and knees not much move down there. I recommend using them. I have been using them for over a decade. They get the job done. They are generally available in a reasonable period of time. The price that they charge are competitive.

They charge $118 per hour labor plus huge markup on unit they installed....over 100% markup. Had difficulty getting per- hour labor cost from manager. Plumber was good though.

I almost fainted when I saw the bill. Dan Wood charges $104 per hour plus a trip fee and parts. The parts section of the bill was not itemized. The major thing I wanted fixed could not be done since he did not have the part. He told me to call the mfg. to see if it was under warranty. I did the calling while he was here. It was not under warranty and the part was around $179. The mfg. sent me email instructions on how to clean the existing part to see if it would work, but the Dan Wood guy said he would not take it apart again (he could have called the plumbing supply place or emailed them a photo instead of traveling there on my time). He also said my bathroom sink (one of the drips-which he fixed by replacing things in the handles)needed a new drain, but he did not have one to match, so he left it up to me. He replaced my laundry room faucet with something more high end then necessary. I was in a rush to leave--but I cannot believe the labor charges (he was here 4 hours and probably would have been here longer if I didn't have to leave). He should have told me up front that the little jobs I wanted done would be equivalent to two car payments. DO NOT USE THIS Company unless you have money to throw down the toilet. MY husband (who was not here when the repairs were done and split a gut when he saw the total) called the next day to dispute the charges and the and quot;supervisorand quot; was supposed to call him back--you guessed it, he did not call back as promised.

Dan Wood plumber Jordan Funk showed up on time, identified the issues quickly, left for parts and finished up in short order. He advised us re his progress as he worked.

We had two service calls from Dan Wood on our 20+yr old furnace-A/C. After the second visit we asked about replacement. The Salesman, Dan, came out and was very knowledgeable and prepared with visuals and data on the units. We felt very comfortable with the information and chose to replace the furnace and A/C. Our neighbors were also impressed with the quote and scheduled their new furnace and A/C at the same time. The work was done on time, with attention to detail. The technicians, Brad and Kevin, did a great job and were very nice. They protected all carpeted areas, wore protective coverings on their shoes, and cleaned up after they were finished. They thoroughly answered any questions we had. We were extremely pleased with Dan Wood service, technicians, salespeople and office staff. We would highly recommend their products and services.

Good despite a few minor complications.

It passed inspection immediately. Everything went very well. He has also fixed bath and sink issues for me before--you name it, he can do it. Also, if you have an emergency on a Saturday, if you call him before 10, he doesn't charge you over time. I really don't have enough nice things to say about him.

I thought they gave me a fair price and always kept me informed with their service. Whether it be a piping or other cost, they did a great job making sure I understood specifically what they were doing.
