Amistee Air Duct Cleaning and Insulation

I moved into a new construction house... In the beginning, I thought everything would be clean because it's a new house, but I was recommended to have the duct cleaned because of possible dust during construction... That was right. A lot of dust was removed. Amistee arrived on time, very kind explaining everything before starting the work, and showed before/after the cleaning. It was shockingly different - yes in the brand new construction house. Everything was left clean, like nothing has happened, only except very clean duct and air quality. I will use the service from this company again...

Perfect- it was expensive but so worth it. I couldn't believe the before and after pics of my ducts. I have 2 dogs and all their hair was in the ducts. 2 guys- super professional. they use positive and negative air pressure to really get the gime out. Huge truck. Not just a van with a vacuum.

Purchased new home and hired Amistee to clean ductwork. They were thorough and honest, would hire again.

Amistee's Rick Folmar responded within a day and gave me a fair estimate for the work. Julie called later to coordinate, and my three interactions with her were very helpful and professional. On the early morning of the air cleaning of my 60-year old house (first cleaning!), Jeff and Adam arrived just after a snow and ice storm, and THEY shoveled and salted my back steps before starting the process! They kept me informed for all of it, and put down sheets on the floor to keep my floors clean. Jeff spotted a gap between the outside wall and the ducts inside a return air vent, and offered to patch it up! He "MacGyver'd" an Amazon carton and screwed it in to cover the gap, so that the negative air pressure of the cleaning would not suck out the cellulose insulation that had been installed. It was tight quarters, but he did it! Next time I have the ducts cleaned, I won't have to worry about that happening again. I am VERY PLEASED with their service and kindness, and will be happy to recommend them to all of my friends!

Were here promptly and explained everything they would be doing so we knew what to expect. Showed us pictures of all the dust and debris in the ducts which they removed in the cleaning process. Was amazed at the amount! Made sure everything was cleaned up before they left. Workers were courteous and very good at their job. Would hire Amistee again.

They did a very nice job on a very challenging attic layout. They were professional & ended up having to work longer & later than anticipated due to our tough layout.

Jake and Paul were very professional, arrived on time and did a thorough job within the estimated time frames. The before and after pictures we received confirmed that we had waited far too long to have this done. This is definitely not one of those fly-by-night outfits that promise but don’t deliver. I would definitely hire them again.

Amistee did a thorough job of cleaning our furnace duct work. Barry and James were personable and professional, on time and company called ahead to give notice of arrival. They explained their services in detail, showed us before and after pictures. All floors were covered with tarps, paid extra attention to avoid any mishaps, protected corners from hose rubbing. Steve was great to work with as well, went through air flow system to see if there are air leakages from vents etc. Explained and demonstrated in the event there are leakages what to do and how it is done. Will definitely use again and we highly recommend them. Service with a smile! Our thanks to them for a very professional job, well done!

Outstanding service! Amistee expertly cleaned our ducts, correctly diagnosed the HVAC System's large volume of leakage, and implemented a highly effective solution that will greatly enhance the efficiency of our system while lowering our energy bills. Everyone with whom we had contact at Amistee - - Travis, Ryan, Bernard, Steve, and Kelly -- were personable and professional and excellent at what they do. They were also honest. A portion of our house was built on a slab with ducts running under the slab. While cleaning those ducts, the technicians discovered that they were damaged by water intrusion and ground movement. They suggested a more thorough video inspection followed by repairing the ducts by coating them with a very expensive (and doubtlessly quite profitable) liner. The inspection, however, discovered that the extent of the breaks and other deterioration was too great for the coating to be effective. The technicians didn't hesitate to tell us about the results and recommended that the ducts be abandoned. They were honest even though they could have told us otherwise and let us write the check. We ended up hiring Amistee to seal coat the ducts in the main part of the house only. Ryan and Travis were the highly skilled technicians who performed the aerosealing. I was very impressed -- they treated our house as if it were their own and answered tons of questions with patience. They showed up on time, worked steadily and expertly, and ended about when they said they would. They cleaned up well after they were done. I was pleased to write the check to pay them. I felt they and their colleagues had given us tremendous value for the price. Bottom line: I highly recommend Amistee. It's truly one of the best companies I've dealt with for home maintenance and repair.

Glenn and Avery did an excellent job! They were prompt, professional, explained the process and got right to work. I had Amistee clean my air ducts about 6 years ago & they did a wonderful job back then & still doing a great job. It's nice to work with companies you can count on.

I went with Amistee because they had a guaranteed price, no potential add-ons which was important for me because I'm still discovering new things about the house and didn't want to be hit with some unexpected extra costs. They also seemed the most knowledgable and made the scheduling pretty easy. Tyler and Greg were the two men who came out to do the job. They were very kind, professional, and efficient. They explained things and answered all my questions. The initial images the showed me of the before and after looked great! I was supposed to get them in an email too, but I still haven't gotten them - hopefully soon! Other than that, the company was very responsive and kept me posted about when Tyler and Greg would be arriving (the previous job went a little long, but they still arrived well within in the 3 hr window they provided) and followed up the next day - I unfortunately couldn't answer and haven't gotten around to calling back to ask about the before and after pictures. Will do that soon though. The musty old house smell also seems to have improved some, but time will tell. Overall happy with the results and would choose them again.

Did the job as expected. Only negative was not aware I had to secure my cats before hand. Took some time for me to track them down and hide them in a closet for a bit.

Rob and Ian arrived at the time promised. (We received a reminder the day prior to the service and also a call on the day to say they were on their way.) They explained clearly in laymen's terms what they were going to do and how they would be performing the service. Ron and Ian somehow put up with my questions and were very willing to share what they were seeing in the ducts. They were both very thorough and worked through every inch of the ducting from all ends. Rob then went up into the attic for a though cleaning of the dryer exhaust. Rob and Ian also freely gave advice on things we could do to improve the performance of our heating and cooling system. We were VERY impressed with the thorough, professional, service.

OUTSTANDING! I was shown pictures of my air ducts before the cleaning and after (picture attached). The pictures were a wonderful way to evaluate the quality of the work. When the job was completed my air ducts looked as if they were brand new. Both George and Brandon were very professional, informative, reliable, efficient, respectful to both me and my home and a pleasure to work with! Both men were outstanding representatives for Amistee. I would HIGHLY recommend both the company and these two young men. I was extremely pleased with my interaction with this company.
