Amistee Air Duct Cleaning and Insulation

They were prompt, professional and thorough. They communicated everything they were going to do and followed up directly. I was shown before and after pictures of the work (inside the ducts). I could not be more pleased with their work.

They did a good job and were unobtrusive. They sold me some filters, but I didn't feel pressured. The techs were on time and respectful. They also called to confirm - the day before and the morning of. They were very upfront about their pricing and they were fair & realistic, which I appreciated. I would recommend them highly.

It went very well, the company called the day prior to confirm, called the morning of the appointment to confirm crew would be at my home at 11am, they were punctual, explained the services they provide, how often it should be done for good quality. They spent approx. 1;30 hours doing the work; they were friendly. They worn shoe covers, which I appreciated. Would use again, maybe not have all the services done at one time.

This company is excellent and we highly recommend them. The technicians were extremely professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and punctual. The before and after pictures they took were shocking, we had toys, spider webs, and even papers had fallen into our ducts, not only creating blockages but potentially a fire hazard. Everyone should get their air ducts cleaned! Our furnace and air conditioner will work much more efficiently now as well.

Worth every penny!!! They showed up about 5 minutes early and went right to work. The jobs took about 4 hours and they worked the entire time, no breaks. They offered the extra stuff, like mold blockers and scented disinfectant but did not push it on me. The hole they needed to cut in the duct was kept small. When finished they covered the hole with a new piece of sheet metal and screws. That was then taped up with aluminum foil tape (not cheap duct tape). I will definitely use Amistee again in the future.

Amistee's technicians Chad and Matt were on time and were careful in covering their feet and the carpet as they worked. They used foam edge protectors to prevent the huge vaccum tube from rubbing against the corners of walls, doors, etc. There was a bunch of debirs in the ducts that came out and was rolling in their vaccum hose- dog hair, pieces of wood, etc. Their equipment was certainly impressive, with the huge truck mounted vaccum and the big yellow hoses that connected to the ductwork. They did drill a lot of holes into the ductwork to get the compressed air hose in and dislodge the dirty stuff. In the future, I will probably insist that they use the existing holes and use more return registers to access the ducts. They took about an hour to clean the ductwork and took before and after pictures to show what they did. In the end, they were able to clean up after themselves and left behind nothing. Thank you and I look forward to having less allergies due to my clean ducts for the next 3 or 4 years.

Excellent service! Prompt, clean, courteous and professional best describes this company. Two men did the work. They wore booties so no to dirty the floors and put down tarps where the vacuum hose was put. Chad explained everything! Took before and after pictures. I was very pleased with the job and was surprised by the amount of dirt that surfaced. It was unbelievable! I would definitely use Chad again in the future!

Extremly professional . Arrived on time. Explained what and how the cleaning is done. Covered my carpeting so equipment would not get on carpet. They wore shoe protectors also. They put in my new filter and showe d me how as it is an accordion style type and difficult to install. They also showed me how to seal around furnace where heat was escaping. Took me only a few minutes to do after I purchase tape at Lowes. .offered sanitizing the ducts but explained not nec unless I was concerned over allergies. I did not buy. I would use this company again and refer to anyone.

this company came referred by another contractor and they did just an amazing job and were really great to work with. Prices were fair and they were in and out without any mess or hold ups. We will use these guys again next time we need a cleaning.

Amistee was on time and professional. Chad the service person was very informative about what needed to be done, how they would do it, and what was completed at the end of the job. They left the house as they found it and cleaned up. The company also followed up with a phone call to see if I was happy with their service and if there were any problems.

Everything went well. Devoinn and Joe arrived at 8:30 and finished at about 10:45. They explained their services, offered me additional options, put on shoe covers and got to work. They provided disposable ear plugs for me to use during the cleaning. Everything went well. Devoinn showed me the basement after they had finished and digital pictures of the air ducts before and after. They cleaned up everything before they left. Their company's representatives by phone were very pleasant and efficient.

I am a real estate agent and did a workshop at the Oakland County Board of Realtors hosted by Pillar to Post Inspections. Randy Patterson from Pillar to Post provided some referrals for Air Duct cleaning. Air Duct cleaning is not something we considered high on our priorities of home maintenance--until we found out the following about Air Quality: Allergies and Asthma have quadrupled since the 1970's Very small particles in the air are not filtered by your nose and lungs. These particles are created by smoke, cooking, burned dust on furnace heat exchangers. Air Ducts should be cleaned every 5 to 7 years. Pillar to Post inspections gave referrals to three companies, one of which was Amistee. We called Amistee for more information and were greeted with friendly and helpful people each time we called for additional information and the one time when we needed to reschedule. Leslie, Donna, Laura and Heather are the office representatives who are so helpful and pleasant. Steve is the owner and the person we spoke with when we initially scheduled our appointment. We were so happy with the information we were provided in our initial conversation with Amistee, we scheduled on our first contact with them. When we scheduled our appointment, we were given an option of times. We chose 11 am - 1 pm. We received a reminder call the day before and a phone call with a 1 hour advance notice to inform us the technicians were on their way. Chad andarrived promptly at 11 am. in professional uniforms and took great care to cover their shoes and warn us about putting our pet in a separate room and that she might be bothered by the noise. The technicians, Chad and Rick, provided us with details on how the process of cleaning the ducts works, gave us the option of getting our dryer vent cleaned (which we chose at only $65), and cleaned the furnace. They informed us that the process is a suction process, so it doesn't blow any dust through the heating and cold air return vents. Chad and Rick informed us the cleaning would take about 1.5 hours, and that is exactly how long it took. Once Chad and Rick were finished, they took special care to clean any residual dust which was so minimal I would have barely noticed. I was impressed with the before and after digital photos they took of our air ducts. Chad described what was important to view in each picture and the changes were remarkable! We are looking forward to a more efficient running furnace and less small particles and dust in the air. We can now breathe with confidence.

They were very nice and did a good job. They forgot to bring the sanitzer and I asked that they return (at no cost) to complete that treatment once I had had some work completed in my house.

The whole company is very professional from my first contact with Heather to the two man crew Jim& Jeff. They showed up on scheduled day & time. They explained what they were going to do and answered any questions that I had. The job took a few hours. They cleaned up after themselves. It has been a few days and I notice a difference in air quality in my home. I would highly recommend this company.

I was given an 11:00 - 1:00 time arrival window. I received a phone call from Amistee's office at 10:00 letting me know they would be arriving at about 11:00. They arrived promptly at 11:00. Chad explained the process before starting. My father has COPD (lung disease/emphysema) so I was concerned about the dust factor. Chad reassured me that the dust would be VERY minimal and would not be a problem. They put shoe covers on and tarps down. It took them about 2 1/2 hours to complete the job. There was absolutely no debris, dirt or dust flying around during this process or any left behind in the basement. Chad turned on the furnace afterwards to make sure there were no problems with it. Although they charge a little more than some other companies, I choose Amistee because they were highly rated and located closer (in case there were problems and a return visit would be needed). I also have learned that paying a little more for quality work ends up saving me a lot of grief and sometimes money in the long run. I was truly impressed at the thoroughness of their process.

Amistee had good follow-up but not pushy. They answered all my questions up front about the process. The guys were right on time, very professional and courteous and took the quoted amount of lead time. We are very happy with the service.

The guys were extremely professional and explained everything they were going to do. They completed the job exactly in the time frame they said it would take. I was extremely pleased with their service, they not only cleaned out our air ducts, they cleaned out our furnace, and replaced our filter on our humidifier too. They thanked me for using their service and shook my hand before they left. The next day I received an email with the pictures they took from before and after the cleaning. I also received a call from their office the next day to thank me for using their company. It was extremely refreshing to have someone be so grateful I called to use their services. Guys did a great job. They even opened up the furnace and cleaned it out. It was a mess from some construction/renovation debris.

This was a great experience. This company worked very well with me, very professional, and efficient. They came in and did an evaluation. They recommended a few options and the reason behind their recommendations. They protected my floors and walls with covers. They took before and after pictures to show me. The service men were very patient. I lost power during their appointment and they worked with me to finish the job. I would highly recommend this company.

They seemed to be in a hurry to finish. They did everything fine but when they put the grates back on the ducts they left some debris around the grate.

Technicians arrived on time, were very nice and polite, informed me that the process would take between 2-4 hours. They immediately covered their shoes upon entering the house, asked me if I had any questions about the process, and quoted me a price before they began the work. I was pleased that the price they quoted me was the same price I was given over the phone when I made the appointment, so it was what I was expecting to pay. However, I was surprised when towards the end of process they offered to add deodorizer for an additional $65. I refused because I felt that it should have been part of the process and included in the original price. They informed me that if anything needed to be moved, they would handle it and that they would clean up after themselves. I was concerned about the door being open for an extended amount of time, and that creatures such as chipmunks that roam around our deck and yard would enter through the open door. Although the door was open with the large vacuum tube running through the house during the entire process, I was pleased with the way they handled the open door situation. They placed foam blocks and large towels on the floor covering the open area so that creatures more than likely would not enter through that space. They went in every room of the house, cleaned every vent, explained everything they were doing, showed us pictures of the insides of our air ducts and dryer vents. They placed foam pads on the wall corners and were very careful not to chip paint on the walls as they carried the large tubes throughout the house. The process took about 2 hours. I was very pleased with their service and I will use them again in the future.

I've read about them on Angie's List and they got almost all "As" and I could see why after they were here. I think their folks were friendly, prompt and courteous. They seem to be very effective. They did everything they said they would do. They sent me some photos of the duct work before and after. They were just good.

They were very fast and proficient. Actually was able to come earlier than scheduled. Usually, I end up waiting around all day for someone to come out but this was not the case. They were very considerate to not track dirt in the house, wore shoe covers, and did exactly as we asked. We were having a problem with a bad odor in the ducts and they didn't leave till we were satisfied that the problem had been resolved. They were friendly, yet professional. I would highly recommend this company.
