Amistee Air Duct Cleaning and Insulation

Joe Y and Alex came out and cleaned my air ducts yesterday (5/19/15) and they did a super job. Very nice, polite, explained everything, answered all questions, did a clean job and cleaned up any and all debris after they were done. I am very happy with the job and with Amistee. When I need ducts cleaned again, I will call them. I did have one surprise which was not entirely the fault of Amistee. After Joe and Alex arrived, Joe saw that I had two furnaces and he ask if there was a reason I was not having the other duct system cleaned--that I had been written up for only one. I said that I wanted all ducts cleaned. That is when I was informed that the cost would be double that which was quoted because it was a separate system. That was fair, but I wish I had been told that when I scheduled. When the office quoted me the cost, I was told it was for ALL ductwork so it did not occur to me to mention two furnaces?.and they did not ask. They do offer Angie's List members coupons, and I was able to use 1 coupon, but I was hoping to be able to use 2 coupons--one for each system.

They were very good. I was very happy with them. They came in within a couple of weeks. They charged me besides the big deal charge because my home was larger than what that would handle.

Jeff and Melvin are gems! Give them a raise!! Professional yet friendly. Courteous, informative...want you to ask any questions you have... I am hoping to see the difference very soon...waiting for pictures, etc. They came they conquered . We had chosen another company cheaper at first but noticed the quarantee and bonded remarks of Amistee so we changed to them.....

This is actually the third home that I have had Amistee clean. All three services have been excellent experiences. They notify you when they are coming. They arrive on time. They identify themselves very professionally, and get right to work. I would highly recommend them to anyone else.

Barry and Alex were professional and friendly. Service was prompt. Barry and Alex were sure to protect my walls and floors from the equipment and their shoes. The vacuum system was powerful; I could hear debris being pulled from the ducts. The before and after pictures were remarkable! Barry reviewed some things he discovered while cleaning that I would need to address later, such as the bees getting in my furnace. This was very helpful and I was able to take care of those problems that same day. Sorry I can't find the name of the office staff who I first spoke with, but she was courteous and helpful. I highly recommend Amistee!

We scheduled Amistee after meeting Rick at a home show. We knew we wanted to use their service because we were in the process of purchasing a home with several animals living in it plus we were planning on doing some renovations. We had to reschedule a few times due to changes in the closing date and our renovation schedule but each reschedule was a simple phone call. I was worried having an appointment on a Saturday that they would be rushed to get back home but the technicians were very thorough. They even managed to arrive early (someone from the office called first to make sure this was ok). We were walked through the process prior to them beginning and then shown before/after pictures once the cleaning was done. We chose the non-scented sanitizer and there was absolutely no odor in our home from it.

They were great. Went above and beyond what was expected. A+

Jeff and Josh were very professional, courteous, polite, and a pleasure to work with. They were very thorough and explained the entire process while showing me the before and after pictures. These pictures told it all; not to mention hearing all of the debris being sucked out by their powerful vacuum. I knew this home had never had this service done and it felt so great knowing that I will be breathing cleaner air while the furnace will function at a top notch level now. Service was scheduled for soon after my initial call, which was important to me. Rick and Doug arrived on time, thoroughly explained their process and provided a time estimate. Throughout the process, they were both very helpful, communicative and professional. They were right on target with time estimate, and the cost was actually LESS than I had originally been quoted (since I had not described our setup adequately). I'm very satisfied with Amistee's services and with Rick's and Doug's work. I would recommend to friends and neighbors.

I was extremely satisfied with Amistee. I had originally scheduled another company to do my duct cleaning, but the day that company was to come, a coworker out of the blue told me about Amistee doing her families duct work and how pleased she was. So I canceled the first company because really, I was having second thought on them anyway. I called Amistee reluctantly thinking the price would be huge, but the lady (Donna) quoted me a super fair price. Then I told her I was on a crawlspace and she said it didn't matter, the cost was the same. I was like, "for real" and she said yeah no problem. Well long story short, I totally got my money's worth. You hear a lot of people say, air duct cleaning is a waste, but mine wasn't. From the very start and throughout, the technician Dan took pics and showed me what my return and master duct looked like and they were pretty dirty. I cannot say how pleased I was with the outright blue collar hard work of Dan and Jacki, the other technician. Going back to my crawlspace, originally upon first assessment, there wasn't enough vertical clearance between the bottom of my main line and the floor of my crawlspace to get their big vacuum suction thing connected to the main duct. Given this, after much discussion about just trying to clean the lines from up top, we came to the conclusion that it just couldn't be done properly for the money, not having the main run accessible. Basically, I would be paying them for nothing. It was crazy but they told me that. So Between the Amistee technician Dan, Jacki and myself, we went through a series of brain storming idea. I truly thought I was at work having a meeting of the minds with my coworkers. The Amistee guys were that professional and approachable. I wanted my ducts cleaned but they did not want to do a half baked job. In the end, Dan went above and beyond, in a 2 ft high crawlspace, to help me dig out an additional 1 foot of room to allow him to hook into the main duct. We were laying on our back or stomach the entire time. I was outdone how much he went out of his way. I manage construction projects for a living and I would hire these two individuals any day to run my crews. They extruded professionalism and their work matched start to finish. Dan and Jacki worked as a team to bring in huge 10 inch diameter hoses, which they hooked up to my system in 2 locations. But the best part of what they did was they used another mechanical cord to whip and agitate inside each of my lines and actually knock the dust loose. They didn't just rely on pure suction. I would recommend these guys anyday. They were all about the business working both together and independently cleaning from the top registers down. Oh, wait. The best thing I liked about the service was how clean my home was after as when we began. They tarped off my floors careful not to scratch my wood. They even used huge foam blocks to protect my wall edges and furniture from being scraped by their 10 inch DIA hose. Everyplace there was a bend or potential to scrape up my wall, they used foam padding blocks. I didn't have to tell them to do this, they just did it. I was super impressed and I heard all kind of hidden crap being suctioned through my vents and cleaned out. We found old screwdriver, tools, a nail set, my kids toys, porceline tile chucks from my kitchen floor replacement, etc. Okay, again the price was more than fair for the work the Amistee guys put in over here. My crawlspace worked these guys out but they didn't stop. They really shined here today. The only thing we didn't do was crack a cold beer after. Maybe I will call them back again one day. I am so glad I cancelled that other company and called Amistee. I lucked up on these guys. Oh yeah, and the guy Dan kept thanking me. I'm not sure why he kept thanking me when he was the one doing all the hard work. He told me several times that "he just wanted to provide a quality job and do it right". Well they did.

It worked out very well. They were on time and courteous. They did exactly what I asked them to do. The work was very good. I did assume that I have cleaner ducts now. My interaction with them was very good.

We live in Cherry Hill Village (Canton) in a home that we built a little over 2 years ago. We just had interior painting completed in our home and with all the dust which resulted from the painting contractor and the two dogs we own, it was clearly time for a complete cleaning of the duct work. What they found in the process was not only dog hair, dust/dirt, but also pieces of concrete, wood chips that came from the original builders that fell into the duct work. These guys were easy to schedule, were punctual and did an extraordinary job in a complete cleaning of the duct work. It took them approximately 3 hours to complete the effort but the end result was a very noticeable difference in the air quality in our home. They also cleaned the dryer vent and sanitized the duct work (extra costs but inclusive in my cost of service I posted). These guys clean up behind themselves and explain everything they have done. I would not hesitate recommending them or using them again...which I will. They are a little on the pricey side but worth the cost to me.

Went really well. Amistee was very people friendly from the start. Rob and Jackie (the technicians) were awesome! Very knowledgeable and personable. They explained everything as they did it and were very kid friendly. Air quality is way better in the house. Will definitely be recommending to others.

We have over 20 vents and the Amistee team did a great job. Our house was built in 1999 and we just moved in a few weeks ago. The vents had never been cleaned before and looking inside the vents now they look almost like they are new, instead of seeing candy wrappers that the previous owners left for us.

Kenny and Joe were extremely professional and did a fantastic job. The air duct cleaning took about 2 hours and Kenny and Joe even left complimentary filters for our furnace. The worked quickly and efficiently and were very friendly.

The cost to complete the offer was much to high when I tried to schedule the cleaning.

very honest and good expertise - due to the fact that it's tri-level house, he stated that it might be only 50% cleaner than before. We did it anyways and it went better than he thought.
