I was impressed with Genson's right off the bat when the person who came to give me a quote offered a suggestion to save me money on the project by purchasing the tub on my own & installing 3/4" lines rather than 1/2" should we ever decide to add more plumbing to the basement The two man team came yesterday (right on time!) to install the tub in exactly 2 hours as promised during the quote. They listened to what I needed & did a great job accommodating. Everyone I've had contact with at Genson's has been courteous, professional & knowledgeable. The price was reasonable & exactly as quoted. I will be recommending them to friends and calling back next time we need any plumbing work.

I had new countertops installed and needed to have a plumber come out and re-install the dishwasher. I called Genson's Plumbing and explained the situation with the dishwasher. They gave me a estimated over the phone. I made an appointment, they were on time, very professional, clean and the job cost was exactly the same as the estimate. I'm very pleased with the work.

Sean arrived on time. He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. He was courteous and knowledgeable. While there, I asked for estimates on other items that need tending. Estimates were provided but Sean did not try to sell me any additional services. He left the premises in better shape then when he arrived. Payment was quick and easy. Setting the next appointment was done quickly and the appointment is scheduled next week, not next month.

I had a kitchen fire at a rental property of mine. The kitchen had to be gutted. With no drywall I noticed that the pipe running from the basement behind the ripped our drywall was galvanized piping. I then noticed that about 40% of my pipe in the basement was galvanized. I had Ron out to give me an estimate and I couldn't meet him at the house but I have a lockbox and he let himself in. I explained I wanted all the galvanized piping replaced in the basement and leading up into the kitchen. I also want the diverter in the shower replaced . At that time I explained to Ron that I needed a permit pulled. Ron seemed to know what he was doing and explained he saw a couple of other issues he thought needed attention. 1. Drain from bathtub not up to code. 2. drain from bathroom sink was 1 1/2 galvanized and it would be a good idea to replace that as well. So he quoted me over the phone $987 for everything without the two extras. I had two other estimates but I liked Ron and decided to go with him. I asked Ron to meet me at the house the day of teh work so we could talk about the extras. I asked Ron to give me a call when he was on his way and I would leave work and meet him. He said not to worry that he would be there by 8:30. At 8:50 I called thier office and they told me he was on his way. At 9:00 two guys showed up, not Ron. They had no idea what I was talking about with the extras and when I asked about the permit they said Ron would have to pull it. I explained to them the extras that I had talked to ron about on the phone and they said no problem. On my way back to work Ron called me and asked if I was going to pull the permit. I explained to him that he was teh plumber and I expected him to pull the permit. He said fine. The work was done and it was quaility. I passed the inspection no problem. Then I got the bill it was $1459. After looking at the bill I see Ron had charged me for the permit $145. I also notice 40 foot of pex as extra parts. I called Ron and he tells me they never include the permit fees in the quote. I told him it would have been nice to have known that. He tells me concerning the 40 foot of pex that he missed the galvanized pipe for the outside spicket with his orginal quote. I tell him that is not my problem and ask him to take it off the bill. we hagle for a while and I get basically no where. He knocks the bill down from $1459 to $1376. Now as I stated earlier I had 2 other quotes on those quotes the permit fee was included. I feel the extra work that they performed was worth maybe $200. I tried to explain to Ron that I feel I owe them $1200 not $1459 and Ron doesn't see it that way. Now I like Ron and he seems like a good guy but when he misses things that I clearly ask for and then doesn't show up the day to the work (like he said he would) then I think he should have to eat those costs not me.

We are a business and decided to use Genson's based on the positive reviews. We were very happy with the price, professionalism, and quality of the workmanship. We will definitely use them again in the future.

The drain in my basement was backing up when I did laundry or dishes. Thankfully I came across Genson's Plumbing on Angie's List. They knew right away that the drain need to be cleaned and scheduled an appointment. I asked if I could also get an estimate on some other minor plumbing work while they were in my home. Chris arrived on time. After he finished cleaning the drain, he took a look at my shower faucet handles. My brother had replaced my shower faucet but was not able to get it in straight so the handles would not fit. Chris was able to fix it quickly and had time to fix the toilet as well. I was very pleased when I saw the amount of the bill. I expected to pay much more. I should add that another plumber gave me an outrageous estimate to fix - which did not include finishing work (he said he would have to make the access panel larger (an access door) and I would need to have someone come out and repair the wall or install a door) . I will no longer try to tackle any plumbing projects myself - not when I can call Genson's Plumbing. They are honest and did not try to upsell me on anything. I cannot say enough good things about this company.

Great Experience! The women who answered my call was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help me resource a good plumbing supply house. She made suggestions and gave me the numbers. She was friendly, helpful and easy to work with. I made the appointment with no fuss and their flexibility in being willing to move it around to meet my remodel needs was an unexpected surprise. We didn't need to, but I appreciated their willingness to adjust if needed. The team (Chris and George) arrived on time, ready to work and got right to it. They moved at a steady efficient pace. Both were very pleasant and helpful. They worked neatly and figured out how to make some challenging space issues work without complaint. I am very, very happy with this company. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again.

Called Genson's and spoke to Sue. She was very professional and compassionate to our issue! They sent 2 very friendly and reliable workers out right away to tend to the leak! They were very understanding and offered advice for future resolution should this every happen again! They finished the job in 1 hour and were gone. Price was reasonable too! Would highly recommend!!

No long review here. Their guy arrived on time, was professional and curteous and answered all the questions I asked of him. He went straight to work, and did the job well. Cleaned up after the job was done, and the job was within the price quote received. After 2 months, everything is still working well, and I am very pleased with their work. I will have no hesitation in calling them again for future work, and would highly recommend them.

Both times they came out almost exactly when they said the would. They were very courteous and professional. Did a great job. Hire them for plumbing problems. You will be satisfied.

It was a better part than what I got and he came out right away. They were prompt and did a good job.

I called there hotline after hours and they returned my call in less than 5 minutes. From there I scheduled an appointment for the next day - they arrived on time with my new hot water tank. The installer was excellent and polite. I recommend them! Thanks

We were in the process of moving into a new home away from the city. Genson's is family owned and operated. and were very courteous and professional. Ron was a great help fixing a leak we had in one of our pipes. He had the repair done in less than 20 minutes and spent some time talking to me like a friend. He reviewed the plumbing in our basement with me, including our water softener. Really great company, our plumber for future needs for sure.

Ben had told me he probably would have the new valve installed within the hour. It took about 90 minutes, but I blame some of that on my ability to ask a lot of questions, in which he gladly answered. He cleaned up everything, and was very courteous.

Excellent! The plumber thoroughly inspected the shower plumbing. He replaced the suspected valve. This did not solve the problem. He replaced some piping and another valve which corrected the problem. The smartest thing I did was to join Angie's List first!

Genson's Plumbing was great to work with, they came out the day that we called for service on our water heater. Our existing water heater was removed, a new water heater was installed in a professional and timely matter.

After noting what the problem was, I called a plumbing company to come and repair the problem. That company took one look and decided they were not interested. I then called Genson Plumbing. Chosen because they were on Angie's List. They arrived right on schedule and with care went to work. It took some time to cut into the wall and find exactly where the break was. We were glad the plumber did not have to break up the floor. The hole was about a two feet off the floor and a 6" part of the pipe needed to be cut out and replaced . The plumber was very efficent and we are very happy with his work.

It was a complicated job because the gas line needed to be run over some duct work across my neighbor's basement. The outcome of this job was great - she is very happy (in fact she is dictating to me now how pleased she is with this service). This is the 4th time my neighbor has used them in the last 8 months (re-plumbed and replaced old galvanized water pipes with a combo of flex/copper piping; installed a new dishwasher in a non-standard kitchen configuration; and fixed a blown gasket in my neighbors basement bathroom toilet). In all the times she has worked with them, everyone has been professional, knowledgeable, and overall perform good work. Especially owning an older home it is great to have people like this who are able to help.

I had a stopped up sewer pipe and urgently needed help. I located Genson's Plumbing and Sewer Cleaning on Angie's list where they already had an A rating. They quoted a reasonable price over the phone and sent a guy out that same afternoon who successfully cleaned out the pipe which was clogged at the point where the sewer pipe leaves the house. There were no glitches. We were happy with the work. The sewer drain appears to be working well a week and a half later.

They were very helpful in recommending a brand and style of toilet. I went to Home Depot to check it out. I called a few days later to arrange for them to install, and the following day they called that it was available at their suppliers and I had it installed the same day. What service!

They quickly diagnosed very low pressure to the dishwasher and hot water dispenser as a clogged and corroded shut-off valve. They replaced the valve and flushed the line - both work perfectly now. This was the 2nd time I've used them and would definitely recommend!
