For a minimal fee we offer our 'Advantage Plan Membership' that gives you 15% off each service call and that you can use at each of our participating sister companies as well. Scheduling at the national number was smooth and professional. Scheduled for 11-2. Technician showed up at 10. Tech was polite and professional, punched the services into the estimating program and came up with an incredible sum based on program minimums that exceeded my needs. Decided against service. Changed my mind an hour or two later (just wanted to get it done without having to do it myself), so I called Tech back using the # he used to contact as at 9:30 that morning. Tech said that he would come back the next day. He never did. Never called. Probably should have called the national number again but glad I didn't . Did the job myself, to code, for pennies on the Mr. Electric dollar. Lesson learned. Checked 'F' overall because 'N/A' not an option.

Description of Work: The technician that came out reviewed my home and gave me an email in what I needed to do on my home still. I ended up selling it quickly without even listing it, so did not follow thru with them. Prices a tad higher than I could find myself, but not bad. Very professional.

Poorly had to file a lawsuit and they lost over $20,000 and haven't paid buyer beware. Never saw owner till day of court. No liability insurance.

PLEASE READ THE DOCUMENTS OF CASE TO FIND OUT THE REAL STORY! If you do you can see that we did ALL work to code and it passed the inspection for an upgrade of service with the City of Mishawaka. We did everything as quoted and more (as well as rewiring of the basement for free) that we agreed to in contracts. This customer used a technicality in our contract to get part of the contract thrown out as well as used dishonest statements about what was agreed upon in the quote to sway a judge who has a predisposition to find favor against companies. In summary, we did $15,000.00 worth of work and were only paid approximately $5500.00. The only reason this ended in court is because we sent customer to collections after completion of job. Customer indeed praised us for the work we did when I spoke to him after completion of job. I rest easy and sleep well at night knowing that God is the final judge.

Description of Work: They did a basic electrical safety inspection, which was nearly to my satisfaction. In fairness it was the first time I've paid for such a service so did not know what to expect. But the inspection did not go much deeper than the overall home inspection that was done before we purchased the house. I didn't learn anything through doing this additional electrical safety inspection. It is a 90-year-old home so I wanted to take this additional step. The electrical deficiencies that were noted during this inspection I asked Mr. electrician to give me a quote on repairing them, and they never responded.

Mr. Electric of Michiana 0 minutes ago Mr. [Member name removed], I did some checking into the inspection we performed earlier this year. Our service professional that did the inspection is no longer with us but I did find the quote for the repairs from the inspection. It shows that it was emailed to you, however, we found our old system many times landed in customers junk or spam mailbox. I am putting a copy of the quote in the US Post Office mail and I will also email another copy to you. We have a new software program that we are hoping will take care of this issue. He did a fine job. I would highly recommend him. I will definitely call him to do the work when I can afford him. He was nice and thorough. He was very prompt. He emailed me a copy of everything including what the price was and what it would cover. He told me that the price would be good until the end of the year if I decide to have it done.
Description of Work: He gave me an estimate on electrical work which I really needed. I needed to update my wiring so that I wouldn't need fuses.

I am very sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the honesty of the service professional. We always tell our electricians that if they are unsure of a problem then be honest with the customer and tell them that we will need to get someone else from our office to look more into the problem. The lighting system was one that would need an electrician that has some experience working on the system and if the electrician had no experience with it then I am glad he did not attempt to fix something and end up making it worse. He followed our company policy however he did not meet the expectations of our customer. Our original request for service was for a home safety checkup not to troubleshoot a Lutron lighting system. If we would have known that then we would have sent someone out with the skills necessary to troubleshoot that particular system and the fees for doing that troubleshoot are a lot different than the home safety checkup fees as purchased from Angie's List. Thank you for your understanding that we only have the best intentions when our customers are concerned and we will continue to be honest in every situation. Thank you and God Bless You!

On the day of the appointment, the electrician called and said he could come a bit earlier if it were convenient for me. It was. He donned foot covers to preclude bringing in mud as it was raining. He asked pertinent questions and gave me several options during the process. He set to work, and completed the job with a minimum of fuss, tolerating with good humor my little dog's yapping. I like that he was friendly, that the cost is in line with what I expected it to be. He even offered a cover for one of my outlets which had nothing to do with the task he performed. I am very pleased with all aspects of Mr. Electric. Because they have an office number in my village, I chose them as I always try to support local professionals. I am very happy to provide a positive review for Mr. Electric, and will continue to rely on their expertise whenever the need arises.
