In response to my inquiry, I received the most condescending, unprofessional voicemail letting me know that they're booked for 2 to 3 years. The woman who left the message then laughed and sarcastically said good luck. Needless to say I have no desire to do business with them.

 + -1 moreFANTASTIC!! I called another company first to repair the control box. It took a long time and then he gave up. He told me to call an electrician. An electrician came out and made sure the outlet used for the control box was providing the needed power and was not the problem. The electrician told me to call Advanced Irrigation because they know what they're doing. When I called Advanced Irrigation I was disappointed that I had to leave a message. But my call was returned in less than an hour. The lady I talked to was very pleasant and very knowledgeable. She asked me several questions to get a good description for the technician's work order. She even emailed me the details of the work order in the appointment confirmation I received right after our discussion. The technician called me to tell me he was on the way and arrived as scheduled right on time the next day. He came to the door with the tools he anticipated he needed based on the work order description. He was very nice to work with. He didn't make me feel dumb for asking questions. He figured out the problem in just a few minutes, which was some broken wires in the box. He quickly repaired the wires and tested the operation several times. He explained to me how to make the sprinklers run when I want instead of waiting for the schedule. He then looked at the system running in the yard to make sure I didn't have any leaks or bad heads. I couldn't be happier with my experience. Wish I could have found them long ago.

Description of Work: I initially contacted Advanced Irrigation several years ago for twice yearly service on my sprinkler system. I was not happy with the provider I was using at the time. Advanced has been my "go-to" team ever since. They spent several years trying to keep my old system working. The old system was poorly designed and not doing a good job of keeping my lawn green. Two years ago, Advanced re-designed and replaced my whole system. They re-used whatever parts they could to keep expenses down and put in better parts where needed to improve the function. I could not be more pleased. The lawn coverage is better, the water use is less and the lawn and gardens are happy. The company is very good about spring and fall reminders and easy to deal with in scheduling service. The technicians call before arrival, are very careful with my property and do a good job. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: After Bill's Sprinkler Service dropped the ball on me and left me hanging, I called Advanced Irrigation and the ladies in the office did an outstanding job taking care of me. They immediately scheduled by irrigation system to be winterized and were awesome to deal with! Had an appointment set up for 3 days later and they never complained that I was calling Nov. 6th to schedule this service. Highly recommend!

The whole crew is friendly and knowledgeable. The took the time to explain the system and to make sure I now how to operate it before they left. They will be coming back the end of the month to winterize the system and I'm looking forward to it.

 + -1 moreOver the course of the summer I had Advanced Irrigation out several times. I have been blown away by how responsive they are, how professional and how punctual. They actually saved me a great deal of money. I had previously used a more expensive service that was unresponsive and charged me a great deal of money for problems that they never actually fixed. Then I tried my landscaper--the same. Advanced Irrigation identified and fixed my irrigation system problems for a fraction of the time and in a very timely manner.
Description of Work: Advanced Irrigation maintains, repairs and installs new parts for my extensive irrigation system, including spring start and winterizing.

 + -1 moreAll of our contacts with this company have been very positive. Whenever we have contacted them, our phone calls have been answered in a positive and timely manner. When we had the system installed, they took great care to be the least disruptive as possible. After a year, we found that a pipe to our house had been accidentally cut when the system was installed. As soon as we discovered this and informed the company, the owner, Ross Cauffman , came the next day and quickly repaired the problem. The entire system has worked out very well. Our yard is well watered in all areas. We are very pleased.
Description of Work: Turned off the irrigation system for the season and repaired a pipe broken when the system had been installed.

 + 0 moreApproximately seven years ago, I had a sprinkler system installed by another company. For the first two years, I continued to use them for the spring start-up and fall shut-down. I was never happy with the service, so I looked to Advanced Irrigation to take over the job. They have done very good work for me, especially considering that the old system needed frequent repairs and was VERY poorly designed. Advanced has tried very hard to keep that system working for me despite being up against a lot obstacles not of their making. For each visit, Teena always calls the day before with a reminder of the service call and the technician calls with the anticipated arrival time on the day of service. They show up when promised and do what is expected. This May, it unfortunately took three visits just to get the system started (and it certainly wasn't for lack of effort on the part of Advanced). I decided there had to be a better way and I talked with Ross about re-doing the system entirely to get better coverage of my lawn and to overcome the issue of poor water pressure in Berrien Springs. He designed a new layout that fixes both of these issues. He also suggested some new features that make the system even more effective. His team came out as scheduled, worked very efficiently and were very careful about leaving the property in great shape when they were finished. Because of their other jobs, it took almost two months for them to be able to return to install the new system, but it was well worth the wait. I am very pleased with the installation and how the system works. If you are thinking about irrigating your lawn, these are the people to call. Good work, quality parts and very fair price.

I was introduced to all the workers, they were all polite and friendly. The work was completed within the time frame stated, the yards looked even better than when they started. I am very pleased with the work done by Advanced Irrigation.
Description of Work: A.I. put a pump in a pond, a line up a single story size steep hill to a large back-yard and then connected lines to a very large front yard. The irrigation unit has a rain sensor and a convenient control unit.

My husband has used Advance Irrigation for 15-16 years. The people who come out here and deal with the sprinklers get the water from the river not from a well because we live on a river.  + -1 moreThey come twice a year. They come and turn the system on and then they come and turn the system off and blow it out with air and so forth, so they're fine. I think their prices are good. You can call up and make an appointment and they come out. I've used them for the last 7 or 8 years.

Description of Work: Ten years ago, as part of a major relandscaping of my property, I had 12 watering zones installed (not by Advanced Irrigation) by the landscaping contractor. As of last July, 5 of the zones had stopped working, unless turned on by hand. A sixth and seventh zone suffered frrom weak pressure flow (which caused poor and spotty coverage for the lawn coverd by the two zones) even though all of the sprinkler heads were cleaned regularly. I knew I had a mess that had to be repaired and brought up to date. Advanced Irrigation sent out a tech who spent the better part of a day simply tracing circuits and determining which valves were defective and what wiring needed to be replaced. Within a week, I received an estimate for the work that most likely needed to be done along with the time that it would likely take. The dollar estimate was $850.00 and would involve two techs doing the work. I authorized the project and was put on the company's schedule. Before the assigned date a representative from the company called to review the estimate and ask if I had any questions on the amount of work to be done, or, the need for two techs to do the work. I really appreciated this call, even though I knew ahead of time that the work would be costly and involved. On the appointed date, the two techs arrived on time and went immediately to work. All the valves for the 12 zones were opend and tested, all the electrical lines from the master control box were traced, and the pressures for each valve were checked. Five valves had bad solenoids which were replaced, six valves needed to be rewired, The two zones suffering from weak pressure were simply location problems; not much could be done to correct that. However, one of the techs suggested replacing the spray nozzles on the two zones with stream rotator nozzles. Excellent solution; the rotator nozzles are wonderful and completely cover the lawn areas. Matter of fact I have asked for a quote to replace all of my spray nozzles with the rotator nozzles. The work was completed in one day, although the estimate called for two days and when the invoice came in it was $120 under the estimate. The two techs were prompt, knew what they were doing, wasted no time (matter of fact I think they skipped lunch). Both went out of their way to explain what they were doing, why it was necessary and what possible alternatives might be available if I was not satisfied with their suggested approach. I learned a thing or two on this project. First, shame on me for going 10 years without having the system checked. That won't happen again. I have a standing order with the company to come each fall, check the system and make sure it is properly drained and winterized. Second, the rotator nozzles while a "new" product so to speak have been around for my system for a few years. Had I paid attention I could have saved a sizable portion of my landscaping from dying out due to lack of water coverage. That won't happen again either. Discussing these matters annually with the tech I figure by this time next year I'll be in great shape and who knows what new watering systems will be headed our way. In short, Advanced Irrigation was really good at customer care; the techs were very knowledgable; the work was started on time and completed under budget for both price and time. My automated system now just hums along and I couldn't be happier. Tim Wright

They were finished quickly and did excellent work. Since then, I've had to call the office a few times to get a refresher on how to start the system in the spring or adjust the watering times. Teena has always been very helpful and friendly. I have never had such a good customer service experience. I can't say enough good things about Advanced Irrigation!!
