J-Goods Plumbing and Heating

It’s not often you get to write two good reviews in one year! J-Goods replaced our boiler at the start of the year. They werefast and efficient and reasonably priced. We had a few teething issues and problems and I nearly lost the faith, so when I woke up this morning with no heat at all I was at my wits end. Jon responded immediately to my somewhat emotional voice message and had a senior tech at the house in less than an hour. He found the problem (manufacturer hadn’t tightened a valve and water and electrics don’t mix) grabbed the part and fixed it within a couple of hours. All under warranty and no charge. It’s impossible to say how grateful I am without getting emotional again! :D Thank you to the team at J Goods. I highly recommend them.

Called J. Goods office to report problem w/water heater- Brittany (very friendly and courteous) contacted Jason (tech). Jason on another job but came here next. Super professional!! Continuing from above, the technician’s assistant helped the customer’s nephew with some of the clean up - - again, typical of J-Goods. The people we deal with at J-Goods are like dealing with family and friends - - friendly, personable and efficient and knowledgeable!

It went very well – Jason was a very nice young man – should I need a plumber again I would request him.

I called him at 7:00 PM and they sent him out for 8:30 AM. He was friendly but still business like Jason was professional at his work. He explained how the furnace worked.

Service technician was very informative about the services to be performed. Very professional and reasonably priced. Cleaned up after work on boiler was completed. Very responsive to my needs (no heat in home).

Jason & Wally were over most of the time they were traveling a long way. They did great work & stayed until 8:30 pm one night to finish up. They were on time & came when they said very reliable

Old furnace would not ignite from time to time. J.Goods gave me information on new furnace. Called Sunday to arrange delivery on Monday 12-14-15. The crew came in and installed the new furnace, very professional, efficient, left work area spotless when job completed. The new furnace operating - a very nice change for the good - comfort wise and all.

Jason arrived promptly calling before he arrived. Thorough going over my old furnace and found a fuel leak that he spent much time on to resolve before leaving. Answered one that my furnace was safe for the winter.

The technician/professional, Josh, was courteous, polite and knowledgeable. He explained the possible problem and kept me informed through the repairs.

Everything went really well. They are extremely patient, they answered all my questions and they beat the competitors price by quite a bit. They are very clean, they didn't leave any messes and they don't track dirt all over. They are wonderful.

Everything was very professional. He introduced himself and put on shoe covers when he came into the house and left everything very clean! My heat has been working great and my hot water pressure has been restored. I learned that there is not supposed to be copper piping going directly into the water heating unit. The copper pipe that he took off was completely clogged with mineral deposits and you couldn't even see through it. It really was quite amazing there was any hot water getting through the pipe at all! J-Goods was great! I would definitely call them again!

Jason came to inspect and clean my boiler. I recently purchased the house and didn't know what to expect. It's at least a 40 year old boiler. But Jason said aside from being dirty, it still had life. He said to expect within the next 5-10 years to replace it. It's helpful to know to start saving now for such a big expense. The old (30-40 years?), analog thermostats weren't turning off in time leading to 4-5 degree overshoot in temperature. I have old cast iron radiators and you need a sensitive thermostat as they can really retain heat even after the boiler is switched off. The new thermostats really seem to keep it to 1-2 degrees warmer than the setting, a big improvement. We also discovered a major design error in the piping of the radiators. They are connected to each other in a loop where the return from one radiator goes to the supply of the next radiator instead of each radiator having its own supply and return lines. After consulting with others at J-Goods, Jason called me on Monday and we discussed a possible solution if necessary. The house has a relatively open floor plan downstairs and we keep bedroom doors open upstairs which helps. It's good to have a plan, though, if we need it. Overall, I'd say J-Goods delivers a quality, professional service and I'd be happy to recommend them.

I am remodeling a bathroom so I called for an appointment on Monday and was scheduled for Wednesday. My plumber, Jason, was friendly, courteous and did everything I asked in a very professional manner. He put shoe covers on when he first came into the house. The faucet had to be installed with a new valve. The shower base needed to be put on a half inch of mortar and have the sewer pipes moved. The work was excellent and he cleaned up everything when he was done. I'm very happy.

Just diagnosis of a problem. Jason was very nice and professional. He listened to everything I told him and then spent time investigating before he gave me the 'diagnosis'.

Advised us correctly that our plumbing problem was most likely caused by a full septic system. Told us that since he did not do any work that there would be no charge for the service call! Got the septic pumped out and it fixed the problem. While we had the technican here we asked him to look at a furnance problem. He quickly trouble shot the system and told us that it was a relatively simple fix - the furnance's water pressure tank needed to be drained and serviced. He preformed the work in less than a hour and did a safety check of the furnance's pressure and also confirmed that the pressure relief valve was working correctly. Jason Duford, the technican was very professional. Glad that he came out.
