+ -1 moreChuck Cowins from Cowins drywall showed up to bid a room I needed finished. Paid them half upfront and scheduled the job for a later date. Called Chuck several times and got every excuse in the book. I called everyday but he NEVER showed up or even started the job. He blocked my number so I couldn’t contact him anymore. I called from another number and he answered, again got every excuse. RUN DONT WALK STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUD HE WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN.

+ -1 moreThe drywall installation went fast as it was a tiny bath. However, when came time to mud and tape the drywall, Chuck showed up late each day. He would drop the drywall mud on the floor and not clean it up. I also caught him using my dish soap to mix in his mud mixture. The work was fast and sloppy. There was trim that had been left around the door frame. Instead of telling me the trim needed to be removed to eliminate gaps around the frame, he never said anything. When I noticed the gap, he suggested that I could get strips of wood to go around the frame. When I asked what caused the gaps, he said because the trim wasn't removed. I asked why he didn't tell me this before he started the job. He just shrugged. Awful experience!!!!

Description of Work: The job was quoted for skim-coating a small bathroom and bedroom (ceiling included) of a circa 1930's home. The ceiling turned out terrific. But the walls in the bedroom were left with tiny pock marks that first appeared like little bubbles, but then burst and left the little pock marks. We pointed this out to the leader, and he said it had to do with how the wall was painted underneath. He applied more mud over the pock marks, but after he left, we found that he missed more than half of them. He was to drywall the upper portion of one wall of a bathroom. He left it bumpy, not smooth with portions un-sanded, big glops hanging over the electrical boxes for the plugs. At all times the whole crew never put any covering over the finished wood floor, leaving glops of mud throughout the room, which they occasionally stepped on. When they left, they proceeded to walk through my dining and living room, leaving drywall mud on my carpet. I will NOT be calling them back to do my other rooms.
