I've often got the feeling that Central Plumbing is the only game in town and I think they're aware of this, too. They're the only plumbers we've used in the seven years we've lived in the area and have generally been happy with their services (although they're pricey). Recently, however, we had a less than positive experience. They came out to fix a broken pipe in our crawlspace. In the process of repairing this pipe, another was broken and left broken. They had to come out again to fix the second pipe and then they billed us for a second visit. It wasn't a lot, but I was bothered by this, so I wrote them a polite letter asking if they perhaps miscalculated. I received a "very" defensive letter in return stating, in essence that if I wasn't happy with their work, I could look for another plumbing service! So much for keeping the customer happy, huh?! The fee wasn't high enough for me to really want to go to war over it, but it does make me think twice about Central Plumbing.
