It's New Years Day and we woke up to a very cold house. I called Straub's emergency line knowing that it was unlikely their regular office phone would be answered on a holiday. For anyone reading this, be aware that this is true. He confirmed that on holidays and weekends it's a good idea to call the emergency number he leaves in the main phone message. Kurt Straub answered right away and happened to be nearby coming home from another call. He was at my house within 5 minutes. He found the drain tube under the furnace plugged, cleaned it out, and showed me how to do it so I could check on it and fix it myself in the future. I knew it was a holiday and expected to pay for the emergency service, even though it was simple. I was happy with the price and know that it would have cost much more if someone had come down from Ann Arbor. Straub lives right around the corner from my house and I am happy to be one of his regular customers. They always provide timely, quality service at reasonable prices. Last winter during one of the snowstorms and cold spells, our furnace quit and again, Straub's crew was right there. Because they just brushed some hidden snow from the vent, they cleared it out and were off again, no charge. They are always willing to teach you how to do minor things so you can save yourself time and money in the future. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Very polite, clean, and honest. My furnace died and I desperately called many heating companies to try to get it fixed. I must have called 4 other companies, none answered or even called me back. I posted on facebook for help. My friend gave me the number for Straub. I called and they picked up the phone straight away. I described the problem. They were busy with other jobs but promised someone would be with me within an hour, and right on time Jeff came to my door. He not only had the required part with him he performed a safety check and serviced the furnace at no extra charge. Genuine professional company. Highly recommended.

They were responsive. I thought that they were a bit expensive but the break-up showed that most of the cost was towards the part. They were prompt in getting me in. They were prompt and courteous. They explained what was going on and actually ended up making several visits. They first came and did the diagnostics, ordered the part and then came back to install it.

Kirk and his son installed a zoned system for us about 18 months ago. That job was completed as promised and within budget. When we learned that my wife was pregnant, we had to have them out again to re-zone the baby's room. They showed up right on time and completed the job in about 10 minutes. I had to force Kirk to accept money for the work. We will use Straub for all of our heating and cooling work
