Date of service is approximate. It was a challenge in that at one point Kevin put an inexperienced kid on the job to help the more experienced installer. He kept making mistakes that later had to be corrected. I wanted a gate installed across the driveway but Kevin never responded to my request for a quote. Since the install was completed, I tried to get Kevin to come out to replace a split board and to look at the stains the nails he used were causing on the cedar. He had them use some kind of nail that bleeds down the wood, absolutely ruining the look of the fence. Kevin said they're the same kind of nails they've always used and he would not be replacing them. Black streaks are wherever there are nails. It looks terrible. In my opinion, once he has your final payment, he doesn't follow through with any problems that occur after the installation, at least he didn't with me. In my opinion, Kevin is difficult to work with, is gruff in tone, not responsive. I dreaded talking to him because of that, so most of my communications were by email. Kevin did not come to see the split board so it never got replaced. He didn't come to look at how the nails are ruining the cedar wood. For $8,200, you'd think he'd be more professional. I regret not going with KJP who also did a bid.

Excellent. Would highly recommend. Even though they are located on the other side of the state, their prices are significantly cheaper than anyone else here in the Cadillac and Traverse City area. In May 2012, we contracted Midland Fence to install this fence at the rental property in Harrison, MI (cost $800 including 2 gates that they made by hand). When we bought a home in Cadillac, we dug the fence up (not that difficult, definitely worth the savings) and brought it to Cadillac for Midland Fence to install. Midland Fence is very professional. I believe Kevin is the owner, and he was very helpful. It was amazing how quickly they were able to install the fence.
