Porch rail not connected to house, so wiggled and had to be replaced by me after snapping off. Basement walls repaired by strapping inside walls with epoxy and webbed material along with one wall having installed plates, screws attached to burried concrete bags and a large wrench given to us to tighten nuts on screws to straighten wall. Wall is still bowed and basement still leaks. Bathroom window replaced, with old window left in place. Window is not usable, does not open to outside. Some wiring was relpaced and no new wiring was installed. Two prong plugs in all but bathroom and kitchen, GFI plugs were installed. Bathroom was gutted, new toilet, cabinets, tub surround, vent fan, sub-flooring replaced. Tub surround needed to be larger, so leakage from tub allowed for further mold and destruction of wall board at either end of tub. Caulking was insufficient or nonexistant in areas where it should have been. We are unsure if the vent fan was vented through roof, allowing for further mold development. sixteen smoke detecters were installed for an eight hundred square foot home, eight in a basement with no interior walls and five for a living level with only six rooms. When calls were made, they would send someone over, but even he was amazed by the situation left here. We have slowly been making repairs by having knowledgable friends help us with the work.
