+ -1 moreThe job was done well when they showed up. We were constantly calling to find out where they were. Bev was great, but her son was extremely rude and refused to speak with my wife regarding the work. The employees worked hard and were determined to do the job and do it as safe as possible.
Description of Work: Provider removed approximately 70 trees, stumps and shrubs from the entire property.

+ -1 moreI included the story in the space above. I'm not sure of the exact date they did the work, but I believe it was in the last days of May or very early June, 2013.
Description of Work: My next door neighbor hired them to remove some brush and a few small trees. They brought in a Bobcat (which really wasn't necessary) and they were reckless in the way they sped past an older ornamental flowering crab tree on my property. The tree was part of a trio that was the focal point of the landscaping around my home. The boom of their Bobcat banged against the two largest limbs that extended slightly onto my neighbor's property and knocked them down, destroying the viability of the tree. I was home but couldn't have seen the damage on the far side of the house. They never came to my door and told me what happened. They just finished up and drove away. Luckily, I remembered seeing the name of their company on the side of their truck. I called them and told the manager what happened. She must have heard about the damage they did, and came over to discuss it. I proposed a very modest financial settlement and she agreed. She did not bother to deny that her workers destroyed the tree. They removed the shrubs and small trees from my neighbor's yard, but severely damaged their lawn with what I call their reckless hurrying to get done. That's also what led to them recklessly knocking down a beautiful flowering crab.

+ -1 moreMy impression is that they are a highly desired service and quite busy with work. If you can get them, they do excellent work with good equipment and workers.
Description of Work: Comparison with other services showed the best quote by quite a bit. The two large trees within feet of the house were taken down safely and the stumps ground down as much as possible under the conditions.

+ -1 moreWent great. Trees were huge, and needed to come down. They worked with us to get the limbs down in such a way that none of the perennials in the yard were damaged. We had some phone calls back and forth to schedule the day due to the weather, but they came, were extremely professional and worked with us to ensure that the trees came down safely and did as little damage as possible. Best tree service we've used in the area. They'll be back to grind the stumps later this week. They cleaned up the yard, blew the sawdust off the roof and porch, and we had little clean up afterwards. All in all, a huge relief to have that job done by such competent people.
Description of Work: Took down two very old trees on a small city lot in Kalamazoo.
