Garage was done in one day, cleaned mess and was prompt to start second day., roof completed His crew even cleaned up paper that blew off and landed out back. I hired Pat to fix a few leaks on my roof. The roof was leaking because the person who installed it did not use step flashing. Pat gave me an estimate to fix the leaks. We agreed that he would put step flashing on in three locations for $225. When i got home he had not put step flashing on but rather had put black caulking everywhere. I hired Pat because i felt the repairs were above my compentcy level, but I could have applied 15 tubes of caulking and it would have cost me a heck of a lot less to do it. When i called him he said that he fixed the leak and was not at all concerned with the fact that he had not done what he said he was going to do (install step flashing). He claims that he tried to install the step flashing but was unable to. He then put the cualking on without calling to ask me. I felt ripped off and while the roof has not leaked since it is an eyesore to look at and it definitly does not look like the work of a professional. When I asked for part of the money back since he did not complete the job like originally agreed on he refused saying the leak has been fix. I later talked to another contractor who said that it would have been possible to lay the flashing correctly, although it probably would have required the removal/replacement of some of the shingles closest to the house, and possibly the removal/replacement of some pieces of siding. Aside from the fact that he did not repair the roof the way he said he was going to he did everything else right. He showed up quickly, prepared an estimate and was able to start quickly (about two days later). He finished the job in short time and the leak has stopped for now but it does not look professional, very thick black caulking everywhere where there should be step flashing.

Pat was a joy to work with. He delivers exactly what he says he will. On our roof he found some damage and repaired it at no extra cost. He told us he would do the job in two days and he delivered. His price was the lowest of the three bids we received. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others.
