+ 0 moreGary was very detailed and explained everything as he saw it. He had suggestions for how to attack the problems and recommendations for contractors to do the work. I contacted him more than a year later to ask for a recommendation for an insulation contractor and information on finding the septic components and he was very helpful. He also had suggestions on ways to make the house more efficient from adding/changing the insulation of the crawlspace to combining the electric service of the house and garage. Some things weren't inspected (the roof) due to the time of year and snowcover.
Description of Work: HES inspected the house and garage including the fireplace, crawlspace and plumbing (flow test). They also inspected the water heater, circuit breaker panels, furnace and deck. They performed a water test and thermal scan. They provided a detailed report of the findings.

Description of Work: We had 2 home inspections performed by Kerry Noble@ HES, for home purchase intentions. The first one was 12/26/2010 where thanks to his thorough inspection, we made an informed decision, on our own, to withdraw our pending offer on a house in Negaunee, which had many hidden expensive maintenance and repairs that were necessary. On our second inspection he gave us a discounted rate for being a repeat customer :) and The inspection was $250. We didn't actually need an inspection on the second house as it had been inspected by the sellers but we are glad we did! Kerry discovered when the company Final Touch, unwinterized the house they inadvertantly charged water to the lines that feed in ground sprinkler system. As a result we were able to have it written into the buyers agreement that they would be resposible to any pipe or sprinkler system damage due to the mistake. If Kerry hadn't noticed that one little handle turned, we'd be dishing out some extra cash this summer to fix that.
