"Very well. Contractor was skilled at his trade, drywall was installed, taped, and mudded in a timely and skillful manner. He was/is punctual in keeping appointment and doing the work. Gave an estimate for the job that was reasonable. When done he cleaned up the work area. Jerry did such a nice job that my wife and I will keep his card and contact him in the future for home remodeling projects."

Here at Penz Insulation we offer many types of insulation including open/closed cell spray foam, cellulose, ECO cell batts and blankets, and fiberglass batts and blown in. We also offer free Blower Door testing on every job site we complete to ensure the quality of job we offer at Penz Insulation. If you have any questions feel free to get a hold of me.
"I called Penz Insulation Contractors checking the competitiveness of another bid. I was ready to spend up to $9,000 to replace old insulation in my storefront building. When Matthew from Penz showed up, he advised me that I did not need new insulation--that the material in place was treated for mildew, with a fire-retardant, and was sufficiently thick. His advice got him no work (at the moment) and saved me from spending $9,000 that I would have had to borrow! I appreciated his integrity and recommend him enthusiastically."

Generally I do the work myself. I do use subcontractors, and part time employees mainly because I cannot do all the work myself in a timely fashion. I do general contracting and manage the job so that you get the quality you deserve. I do not offer financing. I do apply down payments to signed estimates ( Quotes). and I never take all the money until the job is completed.
"Installed several doors and windows. All of them either leak water or are excessively drafty. The main entrance door leaks and has ruined the basement ceiling drywall. The big garage door always lets any water in regardless of how hard the wind blows. The smaller garage door leaks and has molded. Other windows that were installed are incredibly drafty and you can feel air coming in them. Whenever we brought up these issues, his response was to blame us or blame the weather, but never took responsibility for the install. Now I will have to pay another contractor to get things installed correctly."

On average, drywall installation costs $2,000, depending on the size, complexity, accessibility, and location of the job. The typical cost range is from about $400 to $6,000, which includes materials and labor. Additional cost factors include the thickness of the drywall, the shape and height of the room, and the level of finish. The level of finish ranges from only hanging the drywall to taping and mudding the seams between panels to painting the walls.
Most drywall used for interior walls of homes is 1/2-inch thick. This size strikes a balance of being easy to handle and hang while being thick enough for the durability needed on interior wall applications.
The average cost to apply a skip-trowel drywall texture to walls is $1.25 to $2.00 per square foot. Ceilings cost slightly more because of the increased difficulty of working overhead. Additional cost factors include any drywall repairs and removal of existing textures or wallpaper.
The typical cost to repair drywall ranges from $300 to $900 for walls, and about $440 to $1,520 for ceilings. Cost factors include the size of the repairs and how extensive and specialized the repairs are. Average drywall repair cost ranges include:
Small holes (up to four inches across): $60–$200
Large holes: $50–$75 per square foot
Cracks: $60–$400
Dents: $60–$200
Ceiling repair: $320–$1,300
Water damage: $1,300–$5,550
Nail pop repairs: $60–$200
The cost to skim coat drywall is $1.15 to $1.35 per square foot. Most of the cost is labor, for the necessary skills to apply the skim coat with precision using high-quality tools. This is a job better left to the professionals for the best outcomes.
