Description of Work: I to bought from this company and will not use or refer to anyone. I asked for a detailed bill because he wanted to charge me even more money 245.00, and when I asked for a detail bill he called me back and said I only had to pay 15.00. I have yet to have my fireplace inspec. by the fire marshall hence 185. permit fee. I have not received my detailed bill. We had a problem with getting it up and going and he came over and sat down an drank beer. He does not know how to run a company. His clerk called us and said we owed 245. and if wwe did not pay they were coming and taking are fireplace I said go ahead. He said we needed to have one that would cover 2500 sq foot home. We it doesn't even heat the basement that it is in let alone the upstairs. Please do not go to this place and get a fireplace GO ELSE WHERE IF YOU WANT GO SERVICE. he does not know what he is doing. He just wants the money. You can't even trust the people that work for him. One worker said he does not trust him either. He keeps adding to the bill.

+ -1 moreDO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AND DON'T TRUST THE INFORMATION THEY TELL YOU!!! They will tell you anything to get a sale. I live downstate and had to rely on an honest company to do work for me since I could not be there to oversee the job - this is not an honest company! The Fireplace Suite took my money and said the job would start in a week to 10 days. it was more than 6 weeks later before they showed up to start. The crew began work in the fall and spent all day with my livingroom front door standing wide open and my heat blowing into all outdoors - it cost me an extra propane fillup once the job was completed because they had burned up a tank of propane (an extra $700 I had not planned on, that was added to the cost of this job). No permits were pulled and no fire marshall inspections were done - I have no idea whether this fireplace and chimney are installed safely and properly, and have serious concerns about safety because the chimney pipe is 36' long in my cathedral ceiling room. I was charged for permits, but Toby Goodale did not pull any. Toby Goodale is NOT a licensed building contrator as he claims. I paid for blowers to be installed to pump heat into my basement but they are still sitting in boxes in my basement, along with some parts for them. The necesasry ducting for these blowers was not delivered - but I've paid for it. I will have to pay some other contractor to do this remaining work in order for me to get the finished job I have already paid for. The Fireplace Suite has not responded to any of these points. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!
Description of Work: I ordered a fireplace to be installed to replace a wood stove. I created detailed drawings with measurements and examples of moldings for the fireplace surround, hearth and mantle. I specified blowers to be installed in the fireplace surround for pulling heat into my semi-finished basement. The Fireplace Suite (Toby Goodale) ordered and delivered the fireplace, removed my existing wood stove, and built and installed the fireplace surround (including drywall work). The fireplace was inserted and installed, including 36' of chimney pipe for my cathedral ceiling room. Hearth was left unfinished (prepared for tile to be installed). The blowers and were left in boxes in my basement - never installed, although I had paid for installation of these elements. Necessary ducting for this installation was not delivered, although I paid for it. The Fireplace Suite pulled no construction permits and had no safety inspections on this job. The work was completed, drywall installed and finished but no fire marshal ever looked at the construction or installation specifications of the work. I'm terrified to use the fireplace, especially with the long chimney draw, because it has never been inspected for fire safety! I paid considerably more than top dollar for this job thinking I would get custom work. The carpenter did outstanding woodwork, however he showed up several weeks later telling me that The Fireplace Suite had not paid him for his last week of work.....(potential construction lien against my property, even though I had paid in full for the work!)
