WARNING! DO NOT hire this company. We made the grave mistake of hiring them to do a variety of electrical work in our kitchen as part of a remodel. Brandon made a couple of trips to our house to confirm the details of the work. Prior to the project starting, he was friendly, easy to work with and stayed in touch with us. We knew the work he was going to do would mean he had to put some holes in our drywall but he said his “drywall guy” would patch it all up and it would look as good as new. We agreed to a price and scheduled the work. On the day he was to do the job he did arrive on time with a crew of three other guys. My husband stayed at the house that day and I went to work. When I got home I was completely shocked at the condition of my kitchen. They made NO attempt to cover up anything in the kitchen. Luckily the kitchen remodel company had already laid down some covering on the floor or our newly finished wood floor would have been destroyed. The dust and mess extended down a hallway which was not covered and he never laid any protective covering down. He also laid materials on my great room carpet which is only a year old. The whole kitchen area was a complete disaster and he made no attempt to clean anything up. They put much larger holes in our ceiling then he indicated he would and pretty much destroyed all the drywall in our backsplash. Before he left he asked me if I had a swifter so that he could clean up. I just laughed. There was at least a ¼ inch of dust and drywall chunks everywhere. As far as we could tell at the time the electrical seemed to be working though. I told him I would take care of cleaning up as I just wanted him gone at that point. We paid him for most of the work but held back some money until the drywall repairs were done. When the kitchen remodel company came back the next day they said the backsplash damage was so bad that they would have to completely replace the drywall. So happy they took care of that for us as we had only contracted Brandon’s “drywall guy” (Matt) to do the ceiling work. Matt did come back few days later to get started on the drywall. He spent a total of 20 hours in our house over 2 days supposedly repairing the drywall and painting the ceiling. In the process, he damaged our brand new light fixture that Brandon had just hung and had to go to Lowes to get us a new one. The drywall work is also the worst I have seen. I have never drywalled and I could have done a better job. The paint job looks like a 10 year old did it. He has ceiling paint on the walls that needs to be touched up, there are large bumps in the drywall, and large spots on the ceiling he missed with the paint. I don’t think he had any idea what he was doing. We over heard him talking to his girlfriend and he was confused as to why the paint wasn’t going on correctly as it was a brand new can of paint. She had to point out that it was because he had drywall mud all over the roller. I am not kidding. I honestly don’t think he had any idea what he was doing. Finally, at 10pm on a Sunday night he claimed he was done. Without daylight we could not get a good look at the ceiling and frankly, we just wanted this guy out of our house. The next morning we realized how horrible the job was. It has to be totally redone. Brandon had planned to come back after the drywall was done to install the caps for the recessed lights and adjust the pendants on our new fixture so we contacted him to get that scheduled and mentioned that there were issues with the drywall. He said he couldn’t come back for about a week. So, having no real choice, we waited. In the mean time the remodel was completed and upon putting our kitchen back together we found that plugs in the kitchen are no longer working. These are outlets that have been there all along and Brandon would have had no reason to touch. On the day he was supposed to come back he texted to say he was stuck on a job far from our house and couldn’t make it but he would be by the next day or the day after that. Well, that was the last we have heard from him. He never showed up and has not returned repeated texts or phone calls. Not only do we now have to pay to have the drywall redone but we will have to figure out what he did to the outlets in our kitchen. We have even texted him to say we will be pursuing legal action. Still…radio silence. We normally check out all contractors we hire through numerous referral sites. In this case, we hired him on the recommendation of a friend. Partially mad at myself for not following my normal procedure. If we had, I never would have hired him. He is a total scam and doesn’t even run a legitimate business. I am sure he pays the guys that work for him under the table. We paid him with a check from an account that we have that is not from a local bank. He made a comment about how hard it was to cash the check. He literally left our house with check in hand and headed straight to a bank to try and cash it. DO NOT HIRE BRANDON OR NOUMAN’S ELECTRICAL. I have never seen such horrible work from a contractor or such a lack of professionalism.
