Did work as expected. Very responsive. Did a great job on the attic and it was done properly. Very satisfied. Have used them for years for furnace cleaning and repair. Always professional and a job done right. They may charge a little more, but you get what you pay for. I feel they go way above and beyond.

Hutchison Mechanical was referred by another contractor. We also contacted two other HVAC contractors to quote on the job. Hutchison Mechanical’s quote was over 1 ½ times more than the next most costly quote that we received.

Hutchison Mechanical was contacted by my Restoration Contractor. The estimate requested was for the addition of a range hood vent to my kitchen and a new dryer vent in the adjacent laundry room. The range vent was to be a direct run through an outside wall that is brick on the exterior. The dryer vent was to run up into my attic (inside the wall) and out the side of the house. The range duct would be about 2 ft. of duct. The dryer duct is approximately 13 ft. The quote I received seemed a bit high. But, not being familiar with what is usual and customary for this type of work, I had my contractor schedule the installation. Upon researching the requested work and getting additional quotes I discovered that the estimated price from Hutchison was EXTREMELY high. This is an insurance job. It is my opinion that they were trying to deliberately overcharge. They quoted $950 for approximately 15 foot of duct work. The retail price of materials is actually under $100. The actual labor was approximately 2 hours. Luckily I was able to cancel the work before Hutchison started the installation. However, the representative claimed that we owed them $75 because they had already paid for the required permit. I called my township Building Dept. and found out that the company rep., Larry Paquette, had lied about having paid for the permit. AND, he also lied about the cost. The permit cost was actually $45.
