House was built in 1924. | Added bonus my plumber's grandfather and my grandfather worked together as plumbers in the 1940's! They had the same last name. Who knows maybe we're related! Small world! Great service, great plumber!

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal thru Angie's for a sump pump clean out and inspection. Alex, who was professional and I think did a good job recommended a new sump pump. I think their prices run a bit high but the thing I was most surprised about was that they still charge for the service call which is what I purchased thru Angie's even though they also did work. I have not ever had the experience either from an appliance repair, electrician or my usual plumber that if they actually do work that you are still charged for the service call on top of the price for the work. They must be asked about that a lot because she had a complete and ready answer when I asked about it. So, again the work was fine, the price was not.

Description of Work: Clean out sump promotion. Technician did not install an air bleed with new check valve they installed as part of the promotion. The sump pump stopped working. The technician had to return and drill air bleed hole. Good thing I had a backup sump pump. Otherwise, I would have had a flooded basement.

Description of Work: Cleaned sump, replaced check valve, remounted float switch . About a week after the float hanged up and we had small flood, we called and they came back and remounted the float, and apologized did not charge but recommended we buy new system from them which we did not do. It has been working working well ever since...as it did before they cleaned the sump...for at east 5 years that we know.

Description of Work: Alex was an extremely knowledgeable and personable sump pump expert. She explained every aspect of the job and why she recommended these repairs. She virtually saved my basement from catastrophe as the current sump pump had been installed improperly to say the least. She was quick, professional and meticulous. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND her and her company!
