The service went okay. I didn't have a problem afterwards. The person that came put a new filter for my humidifier, and something happened, and my basement got flooded because there was leaking for about a week and half. I had difficulty going up and down the stairs in the basement, so I didn't go down, until almost a week and half had passed, because I had a major flood down there. They returned to look at it in March. They came back to see if something needed to be done about it, but it was working okay. In the back of my mind I am thinking that the person who put the filter in the humidifier did not put it in correctly. I may be wrong, but there was nothing wrong with the humidifier. The price was good. They were very responsive.

My existing sump pump had failed and my basement was beginning to flood. I called RooterMD to explain my situation and the operator quickly dispatched a plumber to my location. The operator was polite and professional and sounded genuinely concerned for my situation. Shortly thereafter, the plumber arrived and thoroughly explained the service that would be provided, providing best and worst case scenario estimates. I appreciated the straightforward / no surprises approach. She was appropriately dressed and prepared for the job. She was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly throughout the entire job. As it turns out, my existing sump pump was burned out (which I kinda expected anyway) and she had to replace it with a brand new 1/3 HP submersible pump. She checked the valve and vacuumed out the debris and silt from the pit. She worked quickly and neatly, not contributing to the already messed up basement. When the job was completed, she made sure that I was satisfied with her work and left no evidence of her working there. I really hate it when a service person works in your home or business and does not clean up after themselves. The cost of the service was a little more than I was expecting. But, as it turns out, $450 is the average cost (fair price) to have a sump pump replaced nowadays. I don't mind paying for quality and a company that stands behind their work. All in all, it was a pretty straightforward plumbing job. I was very satisfied with the experience and will be using them in the future when needed. I recommend RooterMD Plumbing & Heating.

I didn't realize my humidifier wasn't even working. I had someone tag my furnace and say it had holes in the heat exchanger and they wanted me to purchase a new furnace. I went and got 2 more opinions and found there was nothing, no holes, wrong with my furnace. Alex, your technician, found that the original company had put in the wrong filter for the furnace and did nothing with the humidifier. I had been with this company for 10 years! Alex fixed everything, got the humidifier working again and assured my that my furnace was fine.

At the end of the pump water discharge, our sump pump makes a thumping (Hammering) sound. I've done research and everything I read said that it was due to no Check Valve. Called Rooter MD to take advantage of a good deal for a cleaning and check valve installed all for 39.00. They responded quickly and Kevin was out on Saturday between the schedule times. He looked at the pump and told me we didn't have a check valve, and that he could add one, but the sound would be louder than it is now. Then he looked at the pump again and said we had a check valve at the base of the pump, but he said if I wanted, he could put a check valve on? So I was a little confused. Why put on a check valve if we have a check valve? Anyway, for 39.00 he ended up cutting off part of a drain pipe that ran into the bucket with a hacksaw which took under a minute. Since the bucket was clean, no need to clean it out, and with him advising that a check valve would make more noise than I have now, we really got nothing more than a PVC pipe shortened for the money. So who knows, guess we'll have to live with the thump each time the pump cycles through which is about every 5-10 mins when it rains. Ugh.

When our kitchen was originally plumbed, the drain line was installed so that it doesn't drain thoroughly. The technician from Rooter MD was very thorough in clearing our very loooong drain and also offered a fix -- the first company that ever bothered to do so!

We couldn't be happier with the service provided. They showed up on time and were very courteous and careful when entering the house. Always put on booties when entering the house. Made us aware of options. Didn't try and up-sell us. I would recommend them to anyone.

The plumber did - what appeared to be - an adequate job. However, the cost was very high (even for plumbers) as the company charges by the job, not the hour. About one month after the system was turned on (for the winter), the repair started leaking significantly and I had to call in another heating/cooling mechanic who took out the "repair" and replaced that whole section of pipe - which called for more concrete to be broken up to expose more of the pipe for the replacement . The cost from the second H&C was only $180 - and he did an awesome job.

Contractor arrived on-time, answered all my questions, and presented reasonable and affordable solutions to various problems. Will call them again when I am ready to move forward with the work.

Pipe could not be uncloggged and would not allow anything to pass beyond 4ft. This took them 20-30 minutes to determine and pipe was said to be broken or collapsed. We were recommended to call a plumber but had to pay technician in full for unsuccessful services. Discount for this should have been offerred at this step had to be performed and paid for again with plumbers services.

The repair techs were very efficient, got right down to business and completed the job to our satisfaction!

I wouldn’t use them again. They couldn’t where the water was leaking from. They charged for an amount just to come and look at it and they didn’t find the problem. So I wouldn’t recommend them to anybody.

Lyle was great! He was on time, very professional and immediately diagnosed a very serious issue with the sewer line. After the seller fixed the issue, Lyle came back out and provided us with video proof of the repair and gave us sound suggestions on what to do in future. Will totally recommend Rooter MD to anyone with a plumbing issue.

No Service Provided. Company needs to update their service area listed on Angie's List as they do not service Detroit (Historical Indian Village area). I was called promptly to set up a time and date for estimates. The phone rep. needed to call me back to confirm if a late day visit was possible. Did not receive a call back, however when I called back the rep. stated they no longer service the Detroit Historical Indian Village area.

Denise on the phone was great at listening to exactly what we needed. This was not an emergency at the time, but preventive and approaching possible flood issue as we get roots growing in our pipes and need them snaked out usually twice a year. It was great to hear that after the initial snaking it was guaranteed one free one if needed in the future (which I'm sure we will). The plumber that was supposed to come out was not able to because his current job was taking longer than expected which happens. Denise was able to get another plumber (Shawn) to come out after his last call for the day on a Friday evening. Shawn worked efficiently and very tidy getting the job done.

The technician said he never saw a connection like the one attaching the hose to the gas line and wanted to replace the entire line. Had two other companies look at it. Rooter MD'S quote was $715. Another company said they could replace the hoses and it would be $75 with the service call. Mr. Gas replaced the hoses and put a new connector on for $49. Nice guy. Took him about 15 minutes to do the job and then another 15 minutes of testing to assure the leaks were gone. Don't waste your money on Rooter M.D...

Very well. Was not so happy last week, but owner made things better and addressed my concern of the not so great customer service I received initially from Charlotte. He worked things out resulting in a satisfied customer.

I have no complaints about the plumbing work, although the price was high for what was done. My problem was the very poor cement work. I now have a cement hump with rough edges where the excavation was done. If this is their job every day, then they should be proficient in laying cement.

RooterMD had cleaned my cast iron pipe under my basement and found a hole 5' from the stack base (see review from 10/7/2015). It was recommended to use CIPP - Cured In Place Piping - no breaking the concrete floor, no dust!!! Having just thoroughly cleaned the house from a remodel, I was happy to go with this process. Unfortunately, they were unable to do the CIPP because they kept hitting a "snag" in the pipe. What I didn't know at the time is that you will pay for materials and labor even if it does NOT work - a whopping $800 in my case. In my opinion, CIPP or epoxy pipe lining technology is hit or miss. Unless you can guarantee installment, make it known to the customer that they are taking a chance and what the costs will be!

My kitchen drain was making funny noises again. I had it cleaned out a year ago by someone else so decided to go with RooterMD Plumbing. Jeff came out and cleaned 40' of pipe using high pressure water jetting. He showed me on the video screen what was going on using their camera in the pipe. He found a hole about 5' from the stack base and recommended using a liner to fix the problem. Jeff did excellent work and was very professional. I thought the price was steep, but with seeing the clean pipe after jetting, I knew it was done right.

Came soon after I called and went above and beyond what I expected.

I needed help. Was comfortable with the plumber's advice. Services were provided in a timely manner. Good conversationalist. Felt trustworthy. Did a good job.
