Rooter MD Plumbing and Heating

Weekend, and nobody else would come. Read the review, called and they were here very quickly. I am actually calling them today for another service. Obviously I will be using them again in the future and recommend them.

When I called Rooter MD to make an appointment, I was able to get a fellow to come out within a couple days - this was fine since the toilet didn't need repair immediately. On the day of service I was called and told the fellow would arrive at about the time that was scheduled. When the fellow arrived, he was able to determine the parts that needed replacing and gave me an estimate as to the cost. It seemed high, but I agreed to having him do the work. It didn't take him long, to replace the toilet tank parts and the toilet seemed to be working all right. But later that night I had problems with the toilet, so I called the next day and was able to get the fellow to return that day. He replaced more parts and it seemed to work. But, again, after he left I had more problems and had to shut off the water valve to get the toilet to stop flushing. I called a third time and the fellow came back out and made adjustments on the chain attached to the flapper, which then solved that problem. I was not charged for the second and third visit. The fellow also wrote on the invoice that there is a 2 year warranty on the parts and labor, which made me happy. I haven't had problems with the toilet since, and hope that I don't for a long time! It was maddening that it took 3 visits to get the problem resolved, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that toilets can be tricky with repairs. I may call Rooter MD again for plumbing repairs, but if there is another highly rated company in my area, I may consider going with that company.

The plumbers arrived and did the best they could with the normal roto rooter tool. There were too many tree roots to remove without damaging the sewer. They recommended a water power rooter tool. This was brought in and they totally cleaned out the sewer. They also tagged all of our water shutoff valves, pointed out some future issues needing work but never pressed us to have them done then and there. I would use them again.

I was impressed with the initial call. The service rep answered my questions and was easy to book an appointment with (Janet). I called a few companies for quotes chose this one for the reviews and telephone service. I scheduled an appointment to have two mail plumbing drains cleaned for routine home maintenance. When the plumber arrived, he was unable to fit his equipment into the crawl space of one property. He had to clean the drain by removing the toilet. He explained the process and I gave him the green light to continue. Removal, cleaning the drain, and reinstalling the toilet tripled the quoted price but was reasonable for the unexpected twist. I asked him to give me an estimate to repair a leaky garbage disposal (the ring is loose) and a leaking bathroom sink seal. He inspected both jobs and gave me a written estimate. The estimate was too high for my liking so I paid him for the drain cleaning. I have two floor drains at my primary residence. Previous plumbers cleaned the main drain and inspected the floor drains as well. This is the reason that the quality rating is a "B" instead of an "A".

Service was prompt. Arrived at the specified time. Snaked out the drain and fixed the toilet. Everything appears to be working properly now. The price was slightly higher than I expected. But, the plumber fixed two additional minor problems (a leaky value and a second toilet flush problem) without adding any additional charge. Therefore, I was very pleased with the overall service.

We developed a small, but prominent leak in the gas pipe leading from our meter into the house. Consumers Energy was unable to fix it. We looked at a few plumbers on Angie's List and settled on Rooter-MD. The were very prompt. It was evening so they could not perform the complete fix, but they repaired it enough that we could turn the heat back on until the following day. The next day they returned and performed the repair. Very professional. Would hire again.

Each time we have had Rooter MD come out, they have been on time, courteous, professional, knowledgeable. They always look at job first, go over charges with you before work begins. They put shoe covers on to come in your house and always clean-up after themselves. On some things I think they are a little higher priced then others, but we will stay with them. If you become home care members, (service agreement thing you pay once-not yearly) you get discounts.

They were among four companies that I got estimates from. Their estimates were lower than all the other companies. Marshall, the technician, was absolutely first rate. He was clean, polite, well-spoken and utterly thorough and conscientious in the work that he did. The work done was the most streamlined, the cleanest cut and the least invasive in terms of digging up landscaping, tunneling through cement and all that. None of that was necessary. The guy was just utterly capable. They have offered a follow-up, once every year, at no cost. They answered my call immediately, and they were out within six hours and scheduled me for work the next day. They showed up right when they were supposed to show up. I just appreciated the fact that they got to it right away. My daughter was getting married in less than two months and we were having the driveway replaced, but the paving contractor would not touch the job until something was done about the drain first, so I just appreciate them getting it done in a timely fashion.

Overall, it was great. Tim is the gentleman who was here and he went out of his way to give me advice on different things; he was very good about that.

We were very, very happy. They quoted us a price and stuck to the price. They did not try to sell any other products or services. We have tried every plumber out there and they always come up with a different reason why they need to sell you something, or that they need to dig up your yard. RooterMD did what they promised and they did an excellent job; we’ve never been more satisfied. What they did worked fine but they do guarantee their work.

Everything went great. They were very nice and everything went very well.

They come to my house at short notice and did an excellent job explaining the tasks involved. They provided discounts if I signed up for they program but the overall price was significantly higher than my budget to install the water heater and I choose not to go with them for this particular job.

They did a nice job. They were on time and it was a very easy process. They were reasonably priced too.

We called @ 8 am and the service technician was out by 11:20 am. The job was a little more involved than originally anticipated. The technician explained everything and quoted prices as he went along. The job was completed and he was on his way by 1:00 pm. The technician was polite, professional and neat and explained everything that was being done. We have dealt with Rooter, MD in the past and will not hesitate to use them again in the future.

We had a very slow draining main sewer line. They came the next morning and snaked it, but the blockage was tree roots within a few feet of the connection to the city line. Came back the next day to use a high pressure (jetting) hose to cut all the roots, but realized we had "orangeburg" pipe (basically cardboard soaked in tar) that could not withstand the process. One of their experts, Lyle, came the same afternoon and did the jetting very carefully and took care of our problem. He went above and beyond and was extraordinarily helpful, polite, considerate and really took the time to explain our options. He gets our highest possible praise for being a true professional. We will gladly use RooterMD again in the future and hopefully have Lyle do the work. We gave them a "B" on price because of the sticker shock to clean out a sewer line.

It went very well. They did a great job. On time and professional. If I need plumbing work again, they are the ones I am calling.

Overall the job went very well. They should up on time. The plumbers, Kyle and Mark, were very professional, friendly, and easy to work with. I explained to them that we had a leak from our upstairs shower drain - the leak showed up in our basement. After they had given me an initial estimate, they began searching for where the leak was coming from. They believed the leak was coming from a drain 4" PVC tube that was behind some drywall in a closet. They updated their estimate to open up that wall. After they cut the drywall they hunch was correct. There were several places in the 4" PVC that was leaking. They cut out about 7' of PVC and repaired it with another piece. They discovered two significant splits where nails had pierced the PVC which caused the leaks. They did not repair the hole in my drywall. As they progressed through their work, they took their time to explain what they were going to do step by step. I was impressed with the quality of their work and I would recommend them to others. I have also purchased their Home Health Care Plan which saved me some money on this repair and will give me additional discounts on future repairs, equipment or service calls. By the way, they waived their service charge of $79 since I was an Angie's List Member. I thought their price was a bit pricey but they were in and out of my home within about 1.5 hours with my problem solved. I will definitely use RooterMD Plumbing again.

Cannot say enough good things about the experience. The plumbers arrived on-time, were able to diagnose the problem quickly, got a replacement water heater within an hour, and were done removing my old heater and installing the new one within 4 hours of the original appointment time. The costs were explained upfront, including why I needed to upgrade some duct work to building code standards. They also have a service program I signed up for that extends the full warranty on the heater for another year and includes discounts on future work and a yearly check of the basic plumbing throughout the house. One nice touch was they put covers over their work boots when they went in and out of the house so they didn't track in mud or scratch up my hardwood floors. They were polite, professional, and knowledgeable. I will be using them for all my future plumbing needs.

It went fine and took about as long as he predicted

It all started at 2 a.m. Friday morning. Just becoming a widow 8 months ago I am now on my own. I was woken by the noise of rushing water. I could not tell where the sound was coming from. Finally I heard it again in my basement. Down I go with my new flashlight, and spotted a geyser looking like O Faithful!! I kid you not!. What do I do? Who do I call? Neighbors? Family? Heck no! Call a plumber. So I called the Rooter MD who was just at my home a month before my husband died, and asked him to please help me my basement has water water shooting out of the ground! The guy that answered Pete Wood, was calm and patient with me. WOW!! Mam slow down and tell me exactly what is going on. After I told him all that I could see and explain he told go back down stairs and turn the pump off. WHAT A RELIF!!!!. Pete says, give me your name and phone number and by 8 I will have someone there to help you. Two technicians came and explained what my problem was. My sump pump was shot so a new one was put in. I decided to buy the Home Health Care program just for my own peace of mind. Get this! I was not charged a Service Call fee because I am an Angie's List member. Could not ask for a better deal. So now things are running smoothly again all because of Rooter Md and Angie's List. Thank you, DeEtta Moss

Brandon is super friendly and very knowledgable in his expertise and for sure I would have him again to fix any plumbing issues in my home. He was very down-to-earth and seemed to really care about the job being done and done right. The job is now complete within a matter of hours and everything is back to working the way it should!

This is the second time I used Rooter MD. They took the time to explain what was wrong, what they would do to fix it, and patiently listened to and answered my questions before they began the repairs. We also discussed future repairs that could benefit my plumbing situation and assured me that they would email me estimates for the jobs we discussed. They went WAY above and beyond cleaning the area's that were soiled with main line back up materials. They even cleaned a soiled wall, shower floor, and the sink! A mess left by a previous and different company. GREAT customer service and were able to quickly assess and diagnose the problems. Kudos to Rooter MD and their professional and very competent staff! I also hired Rooter MD in July of this year to water jet my main sewer line. That visit was just as exemplary as my experience was today. After many years of sewer back up problems, I finally have hope that i will have a dry basement.!
