Rooter MD Plumbing and Heating

We tried to sell our house and we had to replace a section of our switch line. We had the option of lining the switch pipe or replacing it completely. We thought replacing it would be more expensive and it turns out that that is not the case. We asked them to give us a quote and they told us that it's not a problem, they do that all the time. They couldn't use one technique that they use all the time. They said they never failed with the technique and told me that they're gonna need a 50% downpayment to buy the materials which was $1,900. So we gave them that amount. It took two guys 4 hours to line the pipe and they could not do it because the bend was too sharp. So they didn't do anything and they kept the $1,900 deposit. We asked them why they are keeping that but we haven't gained anything in return and they said that it was to cover the cost of 2 men in 4 hours. I understand but it's not a god way to do business with clients. It's a bad company. They were not professional. They said they're gonna do it but they didn't. They said they're gonna show up the next day at 9:00, they showed up at 11:00 or thy called the next day and said they couldn't make it that day. It was very bad, I don;t know how they got that good review. When they gave me the quote, they said that it's contingent on finding some problem that we have on site.

They did a top notch job, explained everything in plain english and I feel I couldn't asked for better service.

Called RooterMD to install a gas dryer and replace a wash basin, which they both had to have piping replaced. The cost was definitely more than I expected, but the job was well done. Jeff and Tim were both very helpful, professional, and answered all my questions. They threw in a free sewer video to make sure that was working fine.

Tuesday my wife chastised me for pouring rancid cooking oil down the sink. Thursday the drain backed up in the basement wash tub (which was connected to the kitchen sink). She didn?t say ?I told you so? but she didn?t need to! Anyway, Rooter MD was efficient, flexible and effective. They rearranged some appointments to fit us in early Friday morning, as we were leaving on vacation that night. They called when the tech was on his way, and he arrived on time. He diagnosed the problem quickly and provided quotes for simply clearing the drain, and additional quotes for suggested maintenance on other drains, and on the main. He did not however, push any of those additional services on us. We opted for the quick fix, just shy of $200. He snaked the drain. Stayed long enough to fill the entire tub up and ensure that is drained freely. And cleaned up the mess in the tub (that was not of his making!). He was chatty and friendly too. His only lapse was the ?you dummy? look when he heard about the cooking oil. But I deserved it! ###

I called and spoke to John around 10am & explained to him the problem I was experiencing. He mentioned he will have someone out around 3pm. I received a call from the office around 1 pm letting me know someone can make it earlier and to be expecting the plumbers. When Jeff and Marshall arrived they were so courteous and professional. They explained to me what they were doing as they were doing it and invited my husband and my dad to sit in and ask questions as they were tackling the problem. They provided me with several solutions which I liked.

I called Rooter MD to have my garbage disposal looked at. They were able to come out that same day, but I wasn't able to be there, so I scheduled it for the next day. The service person looked at my old garbage disposal, said the motor was not working and the disposal needed to be replaced. He told me of two different disposals, I chose one, and he installed the disposal.

I thanked them and looked for someone else that worked in our area.

I'd been having issues with flooding in my basement due to all the rain water that would back up in my drain. The plumber (Jeff S.) showed up on time and was very helpful in answering my questions when I inquired about different plumbing issues. He also used the cable to clear out the build up in my drain that caused the floods. It has rained since and so far I haven't had any flooding.

They dug up a trench around some shrubs and put in a backup drain pipe.

We called because of a flooded rest room at about 8:00 on a Thursday night at our commercial rental property. RooterMD had someone to come who was on a job in Brighton, but would be there as soon as possible after that job was completed. He showed up about 9:30/10:00. After cleaning out the obstruction, he offered to roto the sewer line for an additional $50, which we had him do, just as insurance that the line would not clog up again soon.

Much more complicated than originally thought. Could not get access through septic tank. Could not get access through available cutouts in basement. Final resort was to pull a toilet and snake from there. Initially thought they would not be able to reset toilet. However, were able to salvage existing wax seal and were able to reset toilet. Don spent 3 hours on the job with lots of very hard work. We were impressed with his dedication and perseverance. We would definitely recommend them.

It's fixed!!! I am thrilled -- not only because the job was completed quickly and at a good price -- but also because Tim was able to diagnose the cause of the clog and assure me that it would be a simple fix. I am baffled that 2 other plumbing companies could not figure out the difference between snaking a T versus a Y joint, or would at least have the right equipment to do so. Both companies concluded that the pipe under the floor must be broken and would need to be replaced. A cost of $2,100 - $2,600?? I gave Tim a check for $149.00. Thanks again, Tim. I also enjoyed our mountain biking discussion! I will definitely recommend Rooter MD (and Tim) to friends and family.

They came out the day after I called. The service man was very knowledgeable and changed my mind on what was causing my toilet problems. He recommended we replace our toilets. Given the expense involved, I am trying other solutions found on the internet to solve the problem.

Showed up on time ( 8:00am ) got right to work, worked all day , 45 min lunch worked till 7:00pm ... dug a deep 10ft to 12 ft trench , laid new PVC 6in pipe , removed small tree in the way, removed cement in front of porch , worked around a huge Maple tree , cut & repaired a small gas light line in the way , cleaned up, stayed till 7:45pm talking with wife & me , very nice gentleman that performed the work down in the trench & supervised the crew. , explained everything. Cleaned up work site well. The next day two more men arrived to water jet the remaining drain in easement and under the street. Provided a detailed before & after DVD camera record of the water jetting, showed the invasive tree roots at the crock section joints. Provided a quote to fiberglass line the remaining crock drain ( $6,000.00 ) that was not dug up due to extreme cost to dig on city easement ( city Bond required ) and dig up the street. Very professional. Followed up with emails , sent a "thank you" tin can of cookies in the mail two months later , a nice surprise. I had gotten three other quotes - RooterMD price was competitive for the work completed. I would recommend and will use RooterMD on 8mile road again

Work was completed in one hour. He tested the line to ensure that it was flowing freely. He cleaned up everything before he left. Don did the work and he was excellent.

They were on time and they did what they were supposed to do. One thing I didn't like is that their price is a little high.

RooterMD Plumbing were fine. We had a good experience with them. It was fine. I was satisfied. Everything went off fine. I was satisfied with their work. Everything was properly done and that was it. They came out in good time and they got the work done quickly.

I phoned RooterMD and talked to a very courteous gentleman. I informed him that I would like a quote for repair of my residential sewer line. He informed me that a representative would phone me the next day to arrange for a site visit and quotation. RooterMD never followed up. I took their lack of follow up as a sign of poor service and went with another contractor.

I called lated afternoon on Monday and was told that they would be out between 8:30-9:00a on Tuesday and would call when on the way which they did and they were on time. after a thorough inspection Marshall figured out exactly what the problem was and how to attack it. He needed more equipment to do the job so rather than just putting it off till later he had everything run out to him with his partner Pat who was here in 15-20 minutes.Once Pat was here they set up and were cleaning out the pipes while thoroughly explaining what they were doing step by step. Within 20 minutes they had me do a final check on the toilet noise an the drains and everythig was great, the noise was gone and the drains worked fast. When entering the house Marshall was always putting on shoe covers so as not to track anything in. They cleaned up completely and left no mess at all. Both Marshall and Pat were a pleasure to work with and both very professional. We were so satisfied we even signup for the Home Health Care program for future problems. We will definatly use them again for our plumbing needs.

Rooter MD Plumbing was incredibly professional, very knowledgeable, fixed the problem that we had, another plumber had come in and he didn't fix.

Don did an exceptional job. Called whole enroute. Don explained two options and the prices for both jobs. He made no mess, finished in a timely manner. He was friendly and nearly experienced. We will call Rooter MD in the future.

They were responsive, friendly and they have a reasonable price. They came out and they were very knowledgeable.

Fantastic. We were hesitant about the price, but felt confident about the information and diagnosis. Job was done in one day. We were expertly advised every step of the way. Everthing that was dug out was put back as it was. The diagnosis was exactly what was found. Great Job!
