Pros: Product seemed very good, and would trust company to stand behind their installation and product. Given lots of hands on education about the various windows available. If I was not limited by budget, I would go with those windows. Why I didn't go with them: 1) $1400 to replace a drafty medium size window in kitchen was very much outside my budget, 12,000 to replace 7 drafty windows. 2) Next window consultant recognized my windows were drafty because they were not completely shut (have windows that are very hard to completely shut, would seem like were shut and locking but were not actually shut...when this was recognized, I was told how to shut them completely, and was given help shutting the very drafty kitchen one (because it takes a lot of strength to close that one), and so not needing to replace them at this time. Surprised this was not recognized by the Renewal team because they examined this window closely enough to take detailed measurements, offer different options for how it opens, etc.

The installers were prompt and professional. Their work was done well. Everything was completely cleaned up when they were finished. It was a very positive experience.

We declined to participate. We don't want or need to know about all possible things we could buy -- only what we are asking about.

They were terrific. What made them terrific was unbelievable speed. The products were excellent. They also had to deal with wood rot and very old windows. There was a lot deterioration around the area. The staff was very professional, they just did their work. The salesman is very responsive to anything. Anytime I call him with a question, he's very responsive. I think that's wonderful.

The quality of the work was excellent. It was by far the best company we've ever worked with in terms of quality. Renewal by Anderson takes out current windows and door-walls and replaces them with new. The craftsmanship of the work done in terms of removing the old, putting in the new, making it fit and looking like it was originally built with the house was excellent. They just melted the new product with the existing structure so well. It was the clean up that they did and the metal work on the outside. They had to put new trim on the outside and the metal work was bent all by hand. It was just absolute perfect. The large picture windows had some water leakage and what they did to ensure that there would be no future leakage was just absolutely superb. Where they installed the windows there was opening in the walls with rotted wood and they replaced the wood. They put down a new waterproof membrane and anything directly related to the window to make sure that it was completely weatherproof and to stop any environmental damage seeping into the house. They did an excellent job. All they do are windows, doors, and skylights. When my house was originally built they put in custom made door-walls and custom made windows. We ordered the standard, so in order to make them fit and make them look built in the trim work that they did around the door-walls and the windows was absolutely superb. You could not tell that the glass was just two inches smaller on all sides compared to the glass that they took out. I would definitely recommend these people in a heartbeat. They were worth every bit of the money although it was expensive and if you haggle with them they will bring down the price a bit too.

The installation was excellent and I’d rate them really high on that. Everything about these windows is great! Very sturdy, very good windows. Not that the salesman was not a nice man but I felt like I had to work pretty hard to get a deal from him. I would rate him a B.

The original estimate by this company was rather steep but with a fairly good discount. The salesman for Renewal by Andersen was much nicer and low-key in comparison to a high-pressure, obnoxious presentation I'd had by another Andersen dealer who literally got into a fight with my husband after a nearly 2-hour spiel. I chose this company with the opinion that the job would likely be performed correctly. Lag time after ordering was fairly long, so I chose a date about 6 weeks later, which happened to be the day after Christmas. The two installers arrived right on time at 8 a.m., inspected the window locations, helped me remove blinds that I couldn't figure out how to take down myself, did some measuring to assure that the windows they brought were likely to fit, laid down drop cloths in their work areas, and both quickly got to work. The installers were extremely nice, professional, efficient, tolerant of questions and open to suggestions, and I found them to be an extremely compatible pair. They took great care in the difficult removal of my old vinyl windows, which were very firmly nailed and glued into the walls. In placing the window inserts, they did no damage to any of my existing woodwork. In the dining room, which had a slanted brick outer sill, they discovered that the original measurements taken were not quite accurate, as the outside opening was slightly smaller than the inside. I thought we might have a disaster looming, but the installer was able to chisel a slightly larger opening at the top of the window opening, allowing both windows to fit perfectly. He also took great care in leveling the windows and in making sure that they seated properly, with no leaks, and his caulking job was also very neat. Outside, I had new aluminum trim installed around the windows, and this matched my existing trim exactly, also done very nicely and neatly on a snowy, 30-degree day. The job took about 4 hours altogether, and I think that the job done was worth every penny, expensive or not. Kudos to this great pair of installers, and I hope that I can have them out again! The only part of this whole experience I might have liked to avoid was the unexpected appearance of two other guys from the Andersen office, not installers but office and sales people, who arrived at my house to witness the removal and installation of their product, something that is required of them, but something for which I hadn't exactly prepared. However, they were nice, and this would not deter me from working with this company again. They did a great job, and the windows are of good quality, too.

They are fabulous and great to work with!

They obviously have a quality product and its made well. I just couldn't afford them. If I had deeper pockets, I'd have gone with them because they look like a well made window and I like the idea of having the manufacturer do the install. I forget the guys name who came and gave me the quote but he was nice and very patient with questions.

Rep never showed up. I called the number on the appointment card and they did not have a record of the appointment and didn't know who Brian was. This tells me all I need to know about the company and how they do business. When I hear businesses complaining about lack of work I wonder how many of them fail to return phone calls or don't show up to appointments with potential clients. We have 5 doorwalls to replace and someone who is attentive as well as having a good product is the one I will choose.

They put in new windows, door walls and a bump out in the kitchen. The windows are fabulous. The guy that built the house used all Anderson windows that were custom. They are ridiculously expensive but the windows are fantastic. They came in one day and installed and cleaned up. The salesman made an error and said the upstairs had no muttons and it looked terrible so he looked up his error and replaced the windows. I had 2 windows in the garage that looked just like the ones in the house and the sales man said that they didn't ever make single pane windows and he looked them up and found out they did and so they installed them in my garage. After installing the windows our heating bill dropped 40-50%. I would highly recommend them but they are expensive.

The guys were great, they came in, did their thing and left it clean. The windows were terrific. They explained how everything worked. The price they gave us included a consultation, installation, and the cost of the windows. I will use them again in the future.

Dealing with Anderson personnel was completely positive. From our salesperson, Mary Jane, to the installers, everyone was personable, professional, reliable in keeping appointments. Mary Jane was very helpful in the process of choosing windows and facilitating the ordering process, and the installers were very neat and efficient. They laid down tarps to protect our floors and covered their shoes whenever they entered the house. When the job was done, they left clean work areas. There was one small problem. Despite measuring the windows twice (once by Mary Jane and the second time by a staff person who made a home visit just to check on the measurements), one window was incorrect and had to be re-ordered, so the completed installation was delayed a couple of weeks. We are entirely happy with the completed job. The windows are high quality, beautiful and they work easily. We no longer have an excuse for not washing the second floor windows because it is so easy to remove them.

Each representative of the company with whom we dealt (by phone, in-home consultation, installation, and follow-up phone calls) was courteous, professional, and prompt. Maryjane Garcia did an excellent job of presenting our options in-home. Joe called a day ahead to make sure we were prepared. Greg, the installer, was prompt, neat, thorough, and accommodating, and we received two follow-up calls (one immediately after installation and another a couple of days later) to see if we were happy with the job or had any questions. The window is beautiful, and I wish we could afford to update all the windows in the house, but the cost is prohibitive, and that would be our only complaint.

We made contact with them at the builder's show and then they came to the house to give us an estimate. We were really shocked at the price to have our windows done and we kind of ruled that out after talking with them. We've been in our house for 21 years and the windows are the original builder grade windows. They are one of the premier window companies for replacement windows, but we had no idea of the cost. The presentation was fine and we had no problem with that, but the cost was prohibitive. The guy that gave the presentation couldn't understand why we were not ready to hop on board and do this. There was a disconnect. He did quote the kitchen area separate and we could have done that for much less, but we were thinking of having everything done at one time and not piece meal.

They arrived at the scheduled time and when we pointed out that we had not had not received the wood to be painted, the leader of the crew apologized, gave us the wood and re-scheduled our installation. He totally owned the oversight, did not give us attitude and it seemed that he planned to further evaluate the system so this could be avoided in the future for others. The installlation went smoothly. It was raining and the workers were considerate of our home and were gentleman around my beautiful teen daughters. Upon our request, they put wood putty into the nail holes-it looked like they were going to leave this to us. I was disappointed to see that the windows were slightly grey-white and we had used white paint. It is not bad and still looks neat. These windows look so nice and are so easy to use. They open at either side and have locks that are for safety and seal. Renewal windows have been "Green Seal Certified" which reflects eco-friendly measures in the process.

We loved the process. Our rep was very attentive to our needs. We were on a budget so she helped us figure out what was the most important pieces to replace. The professionalism of everyone we dealt with was top notch. I now understand why people want Renewal by Andersen in their home. They are the mark of excellence. The installs were very smooth and everything was cleaned up.

This was our second purchase from Renewal. We have 4 more windows to go. So that should say how the experience went. We loved it. Our bay window conversion from a bow window is the talk of our neighborhood.

What impressed me about them was the quality of the windows. I am real happy with them. The windows blocks out the noise and I have noticed the difference in how much it is in the house. They wound up being the most expensive but I was most impressed with windows so I was willing o pay the extra money. I also liked the knowledge about the salesman we well.

I was very satisfied with their service. They're prompt, professional, responsive, and I would definitely recommend them to others. They made sure we were satisfied with their service.

This window was a replacement window. It was guaranteed not to rot or discolor because it is supposed to be a very sophisticated polymer. It has rotted and completely discolored. I have reported it to Andersen and asked to have it replaced, to no avail. I would never, ever use this company for replacement windows because they do not honor their alleged "lifetime" guarantee for their products.

The salesman was accommodating and persistent because it took us a while to decide to do the work. There was too much bickering over price where I felt nickled and dimed. When they brought the materials out to do the work they brought dented screens twice so it took 2 months longer to do the work than expected. I was, however, satisfied with the finished product.
