The estimate I received from them was very high. They had good rapport, and he spent ample time with me discussing a comprehensive estimate. It was a nice experience overall.

Salesman was great. We had a total of 31 emails which he responded quickly, but then again he is a salesman trying to make a sale. ONLY reason we bought from them was that we could finance thru them. We were told by the salesman that we didnt need tempered glass in the bathroom as our drain is 60 inches or whatever from the window. Had another window company come in and say that is false and u have to have tempered. So, to see who was right I called the city inspector. Sure enough, RENEWAL was WRONG!! I called their office to explain and they said that they would've found the error during the measurement and corrected it. When the installers got here, they had to treat it like a lead based home which NO ONE told us that. Sure, they gave us a pamphlet which who reads that. Of all the 5 phone calls prior to getting them installed, NO ONE said you can't be in the areas that they are working in especially with kids( we have a 3 year old and a 10 month old) I feel like you are only paying for their name! Spent over $11,000 and the installers did a crap job caulking the windows on the outside. It wasn't smooth at all!! We had Wallside done at our other house and it was smooth. We just had siding done and it was smooth. HOWEVER, when I complained about the caulk job the installation supervisor came and looked at it and they ended up coming back out to fix the caulk and some other issues. I'm just happy that we can open the windows now and get fresh air. As far as the quality of the windows, time will tell... 12/28/15 Our electric and gas bills haven't really changed with the new windows. I had to call and get a repair on the doorwall and that was fixed in a timely manner. so, at least when something needs to be fixed, they seem to be punctual about it.

Seemed to go well. They had delivered one cracked window, and we lost more work-time to have them come out and replace (which they did without complaint). Then the stainer came, and all the flaws were revealed in their work. It looked like somewhere during manufacture, the seat-board for the bay window had some chemical or something soak into it. When the stain applied, it made nasty marks in the wood (dark rag-shaped patterns, not wood grain). On the bedroom window, they went hog-wild with a nail gun to get the molding to stick down (was bulging for some reason). Sawdust filled the holes, so it wasn't easily visible. When the stain was applied, each hole became much darker and it looks like the thing is all pock-marked (like stressed wood). The project manager has been very polite, and they are attempting to put a new seat-board cover on to fix this. It has been two months, however, and still it isn't completed, and I'm not confident it will look like a new, flawless work when completed (although he assures me it will). This bay window is really the architectural centre-piece of the house, providing most of its charm. If it doesn't come out right, it will definitely impact the impression of the house. We have had our living room furniture pushed around for two months now, the stereo in pieces and the TV not easily utilized. It has been a major inconvenience. We have given up six days of work to have this done (and counting), and paid top-dollar for this work. To say this has been frustrating would be a gross understatement. However, if they can still pull-this off, and deliver a product that can again be a asset to our home, then I will happily change this review to reflect that.

A canvasser came by, we talked windows. My windows were in bad shape, drafty, and full of condensation. Renewal, had a special going, and offered me a deal I couldn't refuse. A salesman came buy, explained my option on colors and design. Same day, I made a deposit for half the cost. The only issue was it would be two months before they could ge to my install. We had an early cold in November, with snow, but that did not seem to bother the two installers. They came at 10am, and were done; including clean-up by 2 pm. The were very friendly, professional, and took care of business. I was very pleased with the job and the look of my new windows. Two of the large street facing bedroom windows really brighten up the look of the house.

We found the salesman (Fred) to be pushy and unresponsive when issues arose at time of the installation, especially when he repeatedly stated to contact him if there were any issues. During the sales call he overlooked some major points that we were not aware of until the install was taking place. 1) Outside trim was a different color than what is on the house. During the initial meeting we were told that it would all be matching, the only color choice we were asked about was the actual frame. 2) As this was only a partial replacement (as we wanted to keep our marble sills) that the windows would fit the same. In actuality, they sit an additional inch to inch and a half more in the house. This caused major issues with reinstalling the blinds and shades. 3) That when we selected the frame style we were told they would all be matching. We now have two distinct frames. When the installers arrived I called Fred, his question to me was "so what do you want me to do"? I expressed my concerns but the old windows were already being removed. Fred said he would talk to his manager on Monday when he returned and assured we would get resolved. It took til the following Wednesday and multiple (unanswered) calls to Fred before I called the office and they paged him. When he called back it was like he was clueless and said, "oh, did I say that" in response to asking what his discussion with his manager went. In addition to the installation we incurred additional costs to have someone come in and professionally reinstall the blinds and shades. When I mentioned to Fred he asked what was I expecting from him!!! He stated that neither Andersen nor he would reimburse for the additional out of pocket cost. I said this would be noted in his review from Andersen, Fred stated, "you gotta do whatever you gotta do", which I did. I received a call from Brandon (supposedly Fred's Manager) who said he wanted to discuss my review. He said Fred was not a participant in the call which I also found to be untrue. I stated everything as listed above and in addition sent a copy of the out of pocket costs to him ($450). To date I have never heard another word. I will be sending a copy to Andersen's HQ for review. On the other side of the coin. the installers were great. They took the time to show us all aspects of the new windows and how they worked. They did a great job in covering the work areas and removing once complete. The product seems to be good but we will know more after we see a few months of utility bills. As for Fred, I would highly recommend Andersen provide better training before sending him out on sales calls. Your only as good as the people representing your product. I would not recommend this person to anyone!

I called to set up an appointment, they came out quickly. The sales person was very good knew his product well. The pitch was good not pushy at all very professional. He made a lot of good points the windows come loaded with a lot of high end features. The price came in at $54,000 then he dropped it to $34,000 then he went to must do list @ $22,000. So lets see I get half the windows doesn't sound like a good deal to me. I am looking for a middle of the road replacement window, compared to other windows out there they are not worth the extra money. That is my opinion you have to check them out to make your own decision.

This is a difficult review to write because I'm very pleased with the product, yet it wasn't a positive experience overall. I really appreciated that the salesperson I worked with, Craig, patiently answered my questions and did not apply any pressure to make a decision. The quality of the windows is also fantastic. They improve the comfort of my house, by eliminating the heat/cold transfer from the old windows. They open and close easily and remove easily to clean. They're also beautiful. They were expensive, but I was prepared to pay more for higher quality and am not disappointed in the quality. The negative portion of the review and C ratings relate specifically to the installation and the company's lack of response to my follow-up complaint. My windows are a "pocket" style which means they're inset into the plaster wall by a few inches and there was a significant amount of damage to the existing plaster when the old windows were removed. The installers (a) did not point this out to me and (b) did not repair the damage in a satisfactory way. You can tell that they basically just pushed some spackle into the gaps with their fingers. I had been assured that this was a turnkey installation and the only follow-up work that would be needed was to paint or stain the new wood aprons under the sills. In reality, nine windows require repair to the plaster; the only exception is the one window where I asked to keep the existing sill. This also means that I have to repaint several walls because I can't get paint that is a 100% match to the existing color. The possibility or necessity for these repairs should have been mentioned to me up front; it wouldn't have changed my decision to replace the windows or to choose Andersen, but I would've been better prepared to make the repairs and it would've been a better experience overall.

They did an awesome job, despite a number of set backs that were beyond Their control. They took their time and did an incredibly high quality job, they listened to all my concerns and went out of their way to insure I was very satisfied with their work. Will definitely use them ago an and highly recommend them.

Called to schedule a consultation for 3 replacement windows on my second floor. They called me back from a web request very quickly. One thing I found strange is they kept naming names of people that owned my condo prior to my purchase. I kept telling the person on the phone they do not live here anymore, but they sounded somewhat distrusting, as if the lady on the phone couldn't accept that I lived here by myself. Flash forward to the date they were to come out for my estimate. They never showed.

We had wood windows that were in very poor condition. We opted to replace them. Renewal By Anderson did the job for us. They did this on one of the coldest days of the year; yet they were very thorough and professional. It was fascinating to watch them; their service was very well choreographed. There was minimal discomfort to us even though it was freezing outside. They did a beautiful job of caulking. Our windows were air-tight and we were much more comfortable for the rest of this awful winter. They were immaculate and cleaned everything up after they were finished. These windows were very expensive but I think we chose well to purchase the windows from Anderson. Windows are only as good as the installation and they did an excellent job!

The entire experience was very positive. The sales representative was very knowledgeable, and took ample time to show us their product and answer all of our questions. The inmstallation was scheduled to meet our availability ( we changed the installation date due to a change in our availabilty without any problems). The installation went very smoothly and the insatllation crew was friendly and professional.

I call provider for an estimate on 10 windows. They asked if I was home owner I said yes. Than they asked about people by name who live here or have lived here. Wanted to much information. Said they wouldn't come out unless wife was here.

They were right on time. It only took them 30 min longer than the estimate because it kept raining. I would gladly recommend them to anyone else. They did a wonderful job and cleaned up after themselves. They cleaned both inside and out.

The process was completely painless. The sales rep went over everything and took time to answer all our questions. We worked through the numbers to get a payment plan we felt good about. The installation took one day to do the entire house (over 20 windows including 3 oversized windows). Windows are not cheap, they are an investment. They noted and dealt with a lack of insulation around the existing windows when the new ones were installed as well. We already see the difference in the house temperatures!

very smoothly- two crews arrived first thing in the morning. One crew installed the windows we had ordered and the other installed the sliders and french doors. Installation included new woodwork .

Our experiences with Anderson, from the first conversation with the sales rep to the last truck pulling out of the driveway, were positive. Anderson isn't the cheapest but they provide a quality product and professional service. Since we were having every window in our two-story house replaced, our salesman told us that they would send a big crew and have the job done in a day instead of sending one or two installers who would have to be here all week. We were provided with computer drawings and measurements of each window. The crew of eight arrived on time, put tarps on the floor throughout the house, and covered the furniture with plastic drop cloths. They set up saws in the driveway to cut the moldings, then ripped out and replaced everything, picked up their tarps and plastic, packed up their tools, and left by six. It didn't look as though anyone had even been in the house. Everyone we dealt with was cordial, courteous, and professional. We received excellent service and are happy with the windows. I would recommend them highly.

We could feel the difference in being less drafty and felt warmer right away. It also made the house quieter. We paid more than other estimates for a better quality product. It was worth every penny. My only regret is that we didn't do this a long time ago.

We chose Andersen based on expected quality. The sales process was clear, although we got the expected "buy today" and "yes, there's more!" that one can expect buying any kind of window - it goes with the trade. We were very pleased with the quality of the final windows and the installation. The stainless steel screens are almost invisible. The window construction is an Andersen developed composite. I am of the opinion that most of what you spend on vinyl windows must go to advertising, leaving little for quality it the product. The installation was also professional. They worked cleanly and quietly with good attention to detail. The installers had to work around one unexpected situation in my old house but they took this in their stride. We are very pleased with the result and only wish our budget would stretch to cover some remaining windows.

After the salesman pushed on for over an hour with his long winded sales pitch, avoiding direct questions, he dropped a quote that was outrageously high...and come to find out completely incorrect. I was quoted $45k and when I later informed him I was replacing with Pella, he contacted me with a quote of $28k. Be careful...make them check their math.

Installers arrived on time and dismantled old aluminum patio doors. In the dismantle process, wood rot was discovered below the sill of one of the old patio doors. Installers then fabricated a new support below the sill. Installers were professional in every way. New patio doors are beautiful.

First, these guys were awesome! We had a crew of 7 show up at 930am as promised. Between them they had more than 100yrs of window and door installation experience! Jim did a walk thru the house and matched the plans to the window, re-measured each opening. While this was going on the rest of the crew started covering everything in all rooms with thick plastic and putting runners on all of the floors. Our house was built in 1923 and nothing is square! The crew was courteous, friendly and explained everything as they went. I had a million questions and they were patient when I asked the same questions of different guys. The answers were consistent and understandable. We had13 windows and an entry door replaced. The craftsmanship with the trim, inside and out is awesome. I watched with awe as the outside trim was cut and matched on site to our existing siding. It was like watching an artisan working his craft. We have had neighbors stop by and comment on how nice the windows look. We checked out several options before we choose Renewal by Anderson. There is a very noticeable difference in the heat that comes thru the windows. We are very pleased so far. We have a couple of caulking issues so will have to report back on service.

The presentation is very thorough and does take over an hour. Only offer one type of window and is not the same as Andersen you would buy for a new build which is good as they are built to fit your project. The salesman was not pressuring but again the presentation is lengthy but informative about the product. The price did not seem to match the warranty offered. I would expect a more lengthy warranty for the price and confidence portrayed during the presentation on the quality of the product. Went with other provider mainly due to price among other reasons to include not liking how the window operated for cleaning.

WENT WELL NO ISSUES. JOB WAS PROFESSIONALLY DONE. WINDOWS WORK AS WAS ADVERTISED.
