Ken and his brother, Mark, arrived on time. They analyzed the new plaster work I had done by another vendor. Ken decided that some of the plaster work needed to be sanded more to be smooth. Mark and Ken put tarps down and moved furniture as needed. All furniture was covered. Then Ken and Mark painted everything. They did a marvelous job, attending to my every question and concern. I am very happy with the work they have done. My living room and adjoining areas are beautiful.

Great experience! Ken came out to give an estimate and when my husband and I changed from the original idea, he came back the night before the project to make sure he understood what we wanted and the color scheme. We had bright turquoise walls in the bath with ivory ceiling ,door ,fram and baseboards, bright orange accent wall in the kitchen with rest of kitchen , kitchen cabinets , doors, garage door and frame ivory. He's really a perfectionist and everything came out even better than we expected. He's giving us an estimate to paint the rest of the condo soon! Would definately use him again!!

Ken and his crew did excellent work. They were on-time and very quick with their work while also doing a superb job. Cost was exactly what Ken quoted and job completion time was exactly what Ken estimated. I read the excellent reviews he had received prior to work and I was very happily surprised that they are the real deal! As a contractor myself it's nice to find another great contractor that cares about what they're doing and takes pride in their work. I would not hesitate to hire again or recommend to friends/family.

They took great care to move our furniture and to protect areas not being painted as well as cleaned after the job was completed. I wish there was an A+ category because that is what he really deserves. What a refreshing experience to deal with true professionals!

Ken is a true professional,he arrives on time and does top quality work. He goes the extra mile to make sure you are 100 percent happy with his work. We will definitely continue to use his services for any of our future painting needs . Outstanding Professional !!!

Ken gave me an estimate for the job and was able to fit me in to accommodate my timeline. We stayed in touch through e-mail regarding paint colors and finish, his schedule and mine, and through communication were able to move up the start by one day. Ken and his employee arrived at 9:00 am and went right to work. They were finished with the entire job by 3 pm the same day! I had requested an eggshell finish in the dining area and pointed out to Ken some odd blotchiness from the previous painting some years earlier using flat latex paint. He used a primer over that area and with the eggshell finish on the new coat of paint, it looks fabulous! No sign of the old blotches and all the cracks are neatly concealed. Newcoat Painting was true to their name!

Whatever Ken says he delivers. He is a real professional in attitude and in being a perfectioninst. He came as promised for the estimate, he showed up as promised, and he sure worked hard to do a great job. He is worth waiting for if you want an outstanding job at a competitive price. I also liked his constantly checking with us to make sure we were on the same page and his understanding that my wife had to be pleased, for us to be pleased. We are both now very pleased. A minor point, but during this job there was no loud music or foul language. Ken and crew were great to have around. As long as he is painting, he will be our painter. Our home looks great and it was a pleasurable experience.

Although we got several quotes to ensure we understood the pricing structure we were pre-disposed to using Ken because of our experience last year. And once again we are very, very, very pleased. Just as the outside work Ken and his crew did excatly what they said they were going to do, when they said they wer going to do, and at minimal inconvenience to my wife and I. They explained everything and every option with us and helped us with us with suggestions and ideas. Not only was the work itself excellent, but once again Ken did more then was originally promised in the quote. The acid test to me was when My wife came home and saw her newly painted living room, she was dancing and singing like Cinderella in with the blue birds flying around like in the cartoons. And I could not blame her. The house is beautiful.And thanks to Ken I was able to leverage that into a new golf club.I couldn't recommend Newcoat more highly. And next year when we do the upstair Ken and the crew will be back.

It was a great experience. The overall process was professional. The crew was all very experienced. Communication was crystal clear. Work was timely, clean and very high quality. I definitely would recommend Ken and team.

I'm posting this review with my highest recommendation of NewCoat Painting. My wife and I hired NewCoat after meeting Ken Richter (owner/lead painter) and seeing the detail by which he asked questions about what we wanted. We couldn't have made a better decision. Ken provided the quote and managed the entire process from start to finish. Ken was on site everyday with his team and attended to every detail. The ending paint job is nothing short of amazing. Here are the details... Overall, Ken and his crew spent 4 days in our home doing a complete overhaul of the walls and then painting the entire interior, including the ceiling and trim. Ken and his team started at 8 and wrapped up by 5 (which was great as I was able to meet with Ken at the beginning and end of each day to walk through the progress made during the day). Ken always asked questions about what I wanted and ensured that everything I requested was reflected in the work performed. Here is the timeline and extent of the work: Day 1 - total and complete overhaul of the walls - patched drywall, installed molding, resurfaced and sanded nearly every wall in the house, sanded and re-textured the ceilings. Day 2 - primed the whole house and got the first coat of paint on the ceiling and moldings, started painting the bedrooms. Day 3 - top to bottom paint job, second and sometimes third coats where needed. Amazing attention to detail around corners, trim, and ensuring an even coverage of paint. Again, Ken was focused on every detail and if it wasn't 100% what I wanted, he changed it. Day 4 - quality control - re-coated surfaces as necessary, touch of trim, installed new vent covers, and anything else that needed tending to in order to complete the work. Ken saw that I was missing some light switch covers and picked them up from home depot to install during the final walk through. Ken spent another hour with me walking through each room to finalize the job at the end of the last day. Regarding paint - my wife and I picked out our colors from Sherwin Williams and Ken picked the paint up on the first day of the job. He used their best paint available and made sure to purchase the "no Vo2" paint, as my wife is pregnant. As an FYI - Ken also indicated that if we found another color we liked outside of Sherwin Williams, he would get them to match the color as well. Overall - this was the first time my wife and I hired painters, and I can tell you...we wouldn't think of hiring anyone else than Ken in the future. He and his team did an absolutely fantastic job taking care of everything and making the whole experience easy for me and my wife. I'm sure everyone on Angie's list doesn't need as much work as we did, but if you're reading this review and you're looking for an absolutely awesome paint job for your home, I highly recommend you give Ken a call.

Ken and his crew arrived on time at 8:30 a.m on Saturday. They got right to work prepping the ceilings and walls. They put two coats of paint on and were finished by 2:45 p.m. My condo looks beautiful! When I'm ready to have the rest of the rooms painted I will definately hire Ken again. I am completely satisfied! The guys were very friendly and professional.

Ken is very professional he does what he said he's going to do he shows up on time he gets the job done quickly he does have a couple people come and help him but he is there for the Job to complete the job himself personally from start to finish.. I had several quotes done for painting the exterior of my house I'll have them were significantly higher than what can charged me. I've hired a lot of people during my life to do to get jobs done and I've never been more impressed with anybody then with Ken and finding him On Angies list. he is amazing and I would never hesitate to call him again as that's what I plan on doing in the next couple of months. He is the type of person that listens to what you want, but also is very experienced in able to give you some really excellent advice and actually make things turn out better than what you could've ever expected. Think you Ken.

Excellent work!! Walls look fantastic!!!Very courteous and conscientious owner and crew. They arrived on set time and finished on schedule.Price was very fair and reasonable for the work they had to do. Walls needed a lot of work to prep.I highly recommend "New Coat Painting" for any interior wall painting and will use them again for additional painting projects that I have.I am very satisfied with the outcome of the work and price.

They did a beautiful job. They were great. They were very professional and knew exactly what they were doing.

We are very happy with the work that New Coat Painting did for us. Ken came out and gave us a free quote within 2 days.The $1200 price to prepare, repair and paint walls and ceilings of four rooms was the best of the three quotes which we obtained.He told us that he was busy for 3 weeks but could do the work then in a single day (which we doubted). The painting was done in a single day.The quality of work was excellent. He worked carefully around immovable objects and there was negligible cleanup required on our part after his crew left.We intend to hire him for painting when needed in the future.

Ken gave a bid to paint the inside and outside of my house, he was not the absolute lowest price but he did give a fair price. (You get what you pay for). He arrived when he said he would and did more work than he originally stated he would do. Ken and his crew were very respectful when in our home and he was actually a pleasure to work with. i can't say enough good things about the job he did! I would absolutely use him again and have already recommended him to my neighbor.

He told me that the day he would arrive early and he arrived right on time.. They arrived right on time. They are very polite people. They also cleaned up very well. They taped up all my windows and made sure that everything was clean. I have never seen someone work so diligently to get the job done. They did a wonderful job.

Excellent service from start to finish! Email started everything off then Ken came to my house to provide an estimate. We agreed on a start date and they were here on the dot at the time they said they would be. They spent 8 hours at my home with no break, first off prepping the house with tape and plastic so as not to get paint on any walls, carpet or furniture. The kitchen and bathrooms needed to be primed so they did that and painted all my ceilings with a pressurized sprayer. Ken was not satisfied with how the kitchen turned out because stains were "bleeding through" which he showed me so he went out and got more primer and did it again and repainted it again. He did not charge me for the extra primer he had to go get. We were so comfortable with them in our home we actually left for awhile to go to a restaurant! They were professional and friendly and stated they did not want to leave until we were 100% satisfied which I am. They got no paint on my wood crown molding which I was concerned about. After they left I found NO unwanted paint anywhere in my home which is pretty incredible! The ceilings look amazing--like I just moved in! At one point in conversation Ken spoke to me about his mother who has passed away--Just want to say--she would be very proud of her son's hard work and professionalism!

Ken and his crew were exceptional and went way above what we expected. The walls had many more imperfection than we though and Ken and his crew took the time and effort to fix them. They even went back over some of the rooms and repainted them and did not ask for additional money. They did this because they are proffesionals and care about there work a great deal. They were clean, polite and kept us informed throughout the hole process. He started the job on short notice which enabled us to move into our home as planned. Ken is also very very prompt and on time which was great. We will refer Ken to our friends and family and would certainly hire him again.

Punctual, professional and oustanding value for money. Ken is a stickler for detail and supervised this crew and every aspect of the job closely. I recommend him highly.

Everything went fine, they provided professional quote. However, we found another local source with recommendations and hired him instead.

The estimate was $1,000 below the next two that I received AND Newcoat Painting was rated highly on Angie's List so I went with them and am very happy I did. They showed up promply at 9:00 each morning and did a good job of cleaning up after the job was done. Ken told me the job could take 4 days but they finished in 2, which was very helpful to me. They sanded and taped the ceiling which did a terrific job of making the ceiling surfaces uniform. I was unable to clean behind some large pieces of furniture so the Newcoat team was very patient with me in allowing me to vacuum as they pulled away the furniture. I would recommend them to anyone -- they R O C K!!

They are fast. They are friendly. I would definitely use them again.

Newcoat did a very good job overall. They were able to come do the work with only a week's notice, which I was very pleasantly surprised about. They worked quickly, and got the job done about a half a day faster than Ken had initially estimated for me. The work they did looks very good, and they did a few things that weren't in the initial quote, like putting a third coat on in the kitchen and touching up some of the paint on our ceiling and trim pieces. We weren't charged extra for any of this. Really, the only minor negative thing I can say is that they were a little bit sloppy. I found a few places where there was a decent amount of paint on some of the trim pieces, and I've found a few paint splatters on our counters and the fridge in our kitchen. Newcoat went back and fixed everything I pointed out without complaint though, and the few spots I've found in the kitchen have cleaned up easily. Overall, I was very satisfied, and would definitely hire them again.
