They came in and hung plastic before they started the ceiling repairs. removed the bad plaster and made the repair. They had all the equipment to do the job. One day, in and out living room was done. Nice job on the clean up. We where so happy with the work we set it up with Ken to come back and do the dinning room. Would recommend to anyone needing painting done. .

We couldnt be more pleased. Ken and his brother Mark did an excelllent job. Ken is very meticulous, made sure every little nick was spackled, and doubled-checked the paint coverage. Our rooms look perfect. Ken also painted both sides of the bedroom door to freshen it up, something we didnt ask him to do. They were punctual and clean and finished in 2 days. In addition, they are very friendly and personable. Ken offered lots of helpful and interesting information about paint. There is not one negative thing to report. We highly recommend them!

Ken and Mark did an amazing job. The estimate they provided us was comparable to other estimates we received. They took real pride in their work and paid attention to the smallest detail. We could not have been happier with the end result. They stayed within the proposed budget. We had a contractor doing other work for us who asked us for their contact information after seeing the quality of the work they had performed.

Ken was professional: gave an accurate estimate, started and end the work as promised. He even fixed a few things for free that he found during the painting. A++. I would hire ken again.

He went above and beyond what he originally quoted, and did not charge extra. Paid attention to detail, expressed that he actually cared how we felt about the end result, friendly and punctual. While his pricing wasn't the cheapest estimate, it was worth paying. I have hired several contractors for work, and have found that you really do get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend him to friends and family as good work seems to be hard to come by these days!

The owner is a detail person. He works right with his crew. He often does the work and makes sure the details are right.

The job: exterior painting including repair of wood damage of a 2700 ft. colonial style home with front columns. The result: Fantastic! They did everything they said they would do and more at a reasonable price. The job was completed in less than a week despite brutal, blistering hot weather. They were very responsive and helpful. We struggled with selecting a color and kept trying out different ones. We thought we had settled on a color which was to go on the following day after all the prep work. I got a polite and politic call at the end of the day from Ken who wanted to make sure that we were happy with the final color being as purple as it was in the late afternoon sun. I came home and was horrified to see what the color looked like in that light. Needless to say we chose a different color thanks to Ken. They cleaned the outside, repaired the wood work that needed it and fixed the gutters. The paint job itself was excellent and transformed out home. This is a professional outfit that will give you attentive, personal service. The quality and integrity of their work is the highest.

From start to finish: professional, clean, reasonable, and they did a great job. I would definitely use them again. Within a day the job was complete and they did it all while I was at work. Very trustworthy and professional guys.

I contacted this company in April, 2013 for an estimate to paint the trim on the exterior of our house. It was a busy time for painters. The owner lived a ways away from us, so his brother came by to take pictures of our house pretty quickly after I called for an estimate. I was surprised how low the price was on the estimate provided, since I had already received a few other estimates that were much higher. I spoke to the owner since I had other questions about what the estimate entailed and their painting process. He answered all my questions and got back to me later on the price quoted. He had discovered that pictures from one side of the house were not taken and therefore the estimate would need to be revised. He offered to come out to my house later in the week to redo the estimate. However, we were in a hurry to make a decision and get on someone's calendar, so we decided to use another painter that friends of ours had experience with.

Ken came out to give us an estimate and also offered some tips on how to paint our knock down ceiling. We had our estimate within a couple of days. He was not the only quote we received, but each quote was right in line with the others. We chose Newcoat because Ken had been very helpful with his advice, we liked his price, and he was available within the timeframe that we needed the work done. Ken and his partner were on time and worked the entire time, taking only a 20 minute lunch break. The paint looks great, I'm really happy with their work. The cleanup was also great, you can't even tell they were at our home.

Our experience with Ken and his crew was wonderful from start to finish. They were punctual, polite, professional and did an awesome job on our house. Ken gave us an estimate and an approximate date for when they could get to our house. It was only a few weeks out and we figured the fact that he was backed up a bit was a good sign [quality workmen stay booked]. We agreed to the estimate and a few weeks later, his crew came and power washed the house and replaced a few boards. The next day they came and finished the job. It was no easy task. In the back of the house, the second story trim was about 35 ft off the ground. The porch ceiling was painted as well as all of the spindles of the railing. There were shutters and two garage doors. They also painted the gutters. Unlike most experiences we've had with construction workers, there was no foul language being used, no loud music, no long breaks and no cigarette butts were left behind. The guys were all clean cut and friendly. After the job was finished, Ken walked us around the house to make sure we were happy with the results. We were, and have been for almost a year now. [I procrastinated in writing this review. Sorry, Ken...you deserve better!] I forgot to mention the price...he beat all the other estimates we were given by far! We would definitely recommend them to others and would use them again

Estimate: Mr. Richter provided a detailed job description with estimate of cost of job. Job site: Staff was professional and courteous and took care to cover areas that would be exposed to paint spills, including brick pavers (on porch and sidewalk). Job was completely in timely fashion with no weather related delays. Cost was fair (compared to 2 other companies).

Ken is one of the best skilled-trade professionals we have ever hired (and we've hired a few!). He is a pleasure to have worked with and to have on our property. He did everything he said he would do, followed through, did high-quality work, was always punctual and went out of his way to make sure he could accommodate a detail or change that was important to us. He also spent much of his own time to perfectly match our paint selections. He is a generous and kind person, and clearly wants to do quality work, and enjoy his relationship with his clients. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again, and fully recommend him. I also want to add that we had other bids for the painting of the exterior of our house, and were told that certain things were or were not needed, and we almost went with a different painter. We then discovered that the other painter was not honest about a few things, which lead us to continue our search for an honest contractor. We definitely found one in Ken. Now, one year later, we are still happy with the work he did, and are very glad with our decision to hire him. We can't say enough about his work ethic and how enjoyable he was to work with.

He was prompt and finished painting my basement in one day. When done, he and his crew picked up after themselves and left the basement in excellent condition. I would hire him again in a heartbeat!

I picked 3 companies from Angie's List to get estimates to have the exterior of my house painted, and I chose Newcoat Painting LLC. Ken Richter came to the house, and I explained what I wanted, he carefully explained how he would do it. Ken and 2 others power washed the house and the back patio on Monday. They came back on Friday around noon and prepped the house, then on Saturday they painted it. There were unexpected problems on Friday because of carpenter ants nesting in the roof of the porch and then ground nesting wasps in the ground in front of the porch. He had to get some lumber to fix the parts of the porch that the ants had eaten. He sprayed ant-kill all around where the ants were, and wasp-kill where the wasps were. And thankfully he took away all the old wood with tunnels and other things left by the ants. Ken is very friendly, honest and professional,and he explained my choices very well. They did a very good job. My house looks very nice. I will use Newcoat Painting again for any painting I need in the future.

I was very impressed with the quality, cost and responsiveness of Newcoat. The 1st day they power washed the entire house. They replaced several damaged boards. All windows were covered with plastic, joints caulked, surfaces sanded and prepped. They did a great job. I could not have been more satisfied with their work. I will use them again. ps. There cost estimate was lower than other estimates. (beat one by 50%) You can tell that Ken loves what he does and works to please the customer.

The preparation and painting was done in a very professional manner. The quality of work was first class.

Very good experience from start to finish. Extremely knowledgeable. Very detailed. A perfectionist. Made sure that we were 100% satisfied with the work before he left. The house was like brand new after the work was done (both aesthetically and functionally). The service rendered could not have been better...period!
