They have been none proactive in baiting and catching a raccoon family for the last 2 months! They waited to long, in spit of continuous contact, to come remove the babies and two out of three died in the attic. They make appointments to check the traps and don't show up for the appointments. When these issues were addressed Devon was very rude and acted very different on the phone when talking to a woman. DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE ....WASTE OF MONEY! We called Michigan Wildlife Removal in a panic because we heard animals in our attic. They promptly came out the next day and after examining the roof and the attic said we had raccoons. We paid them $385 plus an additional $50 for an additional cage. We live in a ranch house and the cages were set up right inside the attic entrance at one end of the house. The first couple of weeks I was asked to call every 3 days or so to have the cages checked (if I didn't call, they would not come.....I was told by another service that it is against the law not to check traps everyday). At one point when I asked what the plan was to get the raccoon(s), the one owner got frustrated and hung up on me. After 7 or 8 weeks it was clear that I was the one person who was telling the company how to do their job (I even had to suggest that they use a pole to go into the attic and catch them). Each time there were no raccoons seen. I finally asked about roof repair and was told that we had to pay an additional $100 - $150 PER HOLE to put wire mesh over each hole (they claimed we had 4 holes). When I asked to have pictures of the FOUR holes for the insurance adjuster, they claimed the pictures had been deleted....interesting that a company would delete pictures of holes they may be asked to repair. I was later told by one of the other services that sometimes companies will show the home owner pictures of holes that do not exist just to get money to "repair" them....knowing that the owner will not go on the roof to see them. Michigan Wildlife Removal (also known as Platinum Removal) took $485 and did not deliver - no plan for trap-shy raccoons and an exorbitant charge for repair (we did not pay them for repair). I finally got another service who checked my attic twice, cleaned up my attic (replaced insulation, removed feces, etc), and then repaired two holes in my roof (he did not use wire mesh but another material that is known to repel critters) as well as reinforce the ridge vent on my roof. We will also immediately cut the tree down that allows access to our roof. I am told that the money paid to Michigan Wildlife Removal is for one year of service but I have no doubt that the service we receive will be equally as dissatisfying as this time. They have a nice website presence but they have been a total waste of our money!

They caught a few but then they stopped coming. We would call and it would take a day or two for them to come, the result was one squirrel died in the cage, very sad. We wanted them gone not dead. Then they stopped coming all together. We called several times but they wouldn't even return our calls. We still have squirrels living in our garage. Very bad way to run a business.
Description of Work: We had squirrels living in the attic of the garage. They said they would take care of the problem for us for a set price up front.

They came to our residence August 18, 2016 and it is almost December and the problem is still with us. When we call them it takes a couple of days for them to come. They did catch a couple of squirrels but after that the bait would be gone, no squirrel in the trap and the trap would or would not be triggered. The last time they were here they said it must me mice but if you hear them in the garage they are not mice and they sure make noise like a squirrel. We are hoping that they come and at least repair the one place they may (or may not) be coming in. If it doesn't solve the problem we will see how they handle it or we may be back where we started. The job is not complete yet.
Description of Work: Squirrels in our attic in the garage. We still have them living there and the problem has not been resolved but we had to pay in advance, which we did. We will rate them once the job is completed.

I had animals (raccoons) in my attic. The company site mentions 24 hour emergency service however that wasn't an option for me. I was told about a package deal of $385 to come inspect, locate the problem, remove the pest, fix the entry point, and a 1 year warranty. Well I didn't have time to wait for the hours they had available so I found and had another company come out the same day. After numerous attempts to contact MI Wildlife Removal to cancel the lines always went straight to busy for two days. Finally the day of the appointment I get an answer and when I explained that I needed to cancel I got the nastiest attitude back and was lectured on canceling the same day. Even after explaining that their lines were busy and it wasn't due to anything on my part he was still nasty. The company that came out was referred by someone else, but is a good company that is Angies's List approved. I would never use Michigan Wildlife Removal. The flat rate seemed a little too good to be true and after receiving an unprofessional response I believe I would have been taken advantage of.
Description of Work: The service they were originally scheduled to do was cancelled.

Michigan Wildlife Removal charged me $385 to come out. We knew we had birds in our attic. So, they went up to the attic and told us that we had birds up there but they're not there anymore. They fixed a few screens in the attic and left. A week later, we still heard birds in our attic and we had them come out again. This time, it was a different guy. The first thing he said to me was if I had so-and-so come out the first time. So, I looked up my invoice and I told him that we did. The guy told me that he has been going around and fixing all the mistakes. He went up to our attic and refused to tell us that not only was there birds up there but there's about six birds' nest that had to be up there for at least five years. The first guy never even mentioned or told us that there were any bird's nest. He informed me that they don't remove nests. I had to call and I had to charge one and said that their warranty works for one year. There's going to be an extra fee for the removal of the bird's nest and that wasn't fair. The owner said that he will charge an extra $700 to $800 to remove all those nests. We just told them to forget it. We also asked them to fix all the screens to prevent it and the owner said that they only fix what's broken. They're called wildlife removal but they can't remove a nest. It's been a nightmare. For $385, I got nothing. I'm still back at square one.
