JK Home Improvement did a great job. We are very happy with their work. They started the job on 4/16 and were finished on 4/21. A crew of about 8 guys were here to do the job, including two of the three brothers/owners of the company. One of the main reasons we decided to go with JK Home Improvement was due to the fact that the owners of the company were on-site and were part of the work crew for the entire job. The crew was very professional. They did a very good job of cleaning up at the end of each day. I highly recommend JK Home Improvement.

The team at JK's was wonderful - from the quote to the installation. They were very responsive to any and all questions, no hard sales pressure, and did excellent work at a fair price. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

.The job went very good . Andy was very responsive to answer questions . He saved us a bundle of money to put it lightly . Other contractors insisted that we needed eave and ridge vents to comply with code requirements . We found that that was not true . We asked for an estimate in Aug. He said it would be September when they could do the job and it was September when they did the job . It was a very good experience . I delayed writing a review because I was concerned about the winter coming up any problems that may come up and the response to those problems . All is good .

I met with Andy, the owner, to discuss details of the project, and received a quote the next day. After deciding to go with JK, we determined a project date and finalized details regarding the contract and payment terms. JK completed the work in two days, making sure the yard was thoroughly cleaned up before they left. The new roof looks great! I was very satisfied with JK and would recommend them to anyone looking to replace their roof.

Selected 4 different contractors from Angie's List and an additional one from local recommendation. Andy was the first to appraise the work to be done. I went with most of his recommendations as far as style and color. Very informative as to what they might encounter when tearing off old aluminum siding, gutters and roofing, and up front about potential costs if they encountered any major issues. Andy and his two brothers, along with a substantial crew do the work and are very thorough and focused. Very easy to talk to talk to and very attentive to concerns. Their estimate was priced very competitively and were comfortable discussing the details about what work would be performed. Andy pointed out that many of our neighbors have used their service over the past 10 years, so I could talk directly with past customers. All gave thumbs up to quality and professionalism of JK Home Imporvement. They finished the work on time, and did a wonderful job of cleaning up around shrubbery and trees. They are came highly recommended and proved why they have such a high rating. I can't thank them enough for doing an excellent job, at a very reasonable and competitive price, while maintaining a professional persona by the whole crew.

Andy came out within a few days of my call and gave me a written estimate for the gutters with a leaf guard. He also gave me a four page list of references I could call. I wanted storm doors as well so Andy dropped off a brochure with a price list. He explained it would take a couple of weeks to get the doors so they would install the new gutters first and then the doors when they came in. The gutters were installed while we were at work and we are very happy with the result. The gutters not only look great and are sturdy but now they function as they should. The price was also less than I thought it would be. We originally were to have Trapp storm doors but there was an issue with the doors so Andy decided to go with Fox storm doors. When the doors were ready to be installed, they were able to fit in our job on a day I was off from work which was much appreciated. The two installers came when they said they would and were very professional. They removed the old doors and installed two beautiful new doors and added some trim around the doors to cover the wood frame which makes them look even better. We are very happy with the quality of the products and the quality of the installation. We have had a very good experience with JK Home Improvement and would recommend them to anyone.

It was a sincere pleasure to get to meet & work with Andy, Jeff & their crew on our home improvement project. They were consistently warm, funny & personable. Their estimate was priced fairly & they were receptive & patient with our requests for several additional features & revisions. Andy even even went out of his way to help us research a specific aspect of our job that we had questions about. True professionals, each day they arrived in a timely fashion & worked so efficiently that they actually began & finished our job quite a bit ahead of schedule. Each day they treated ourselves, our three pups & our home with respect, happily accommodating the need of our boys to take "potty breaks" & thoroughly cleaning up our yard prior to their departure. Each member of the crew contributed to our project with their talent & attention to detail. The finished job is truly a thing of beauty. Not only is our home lovely to look at, it's functional; the additional insulation will hopefully reduce our energy needs & we will no longer have to worry about dangling off ladders to paint trim every few years. We simply could not be more thrilled with the work completed, & credit for that goes to JK Home Improvement. We highly recommend their services.

I have a primarily brick bungalow style home in the downriver area. It has two vinyl sided cantilever sections, the front encasing a large 5-panel bow window. I recently selected four reputable companies to come out to give estimates. Of the four, I chose JK Home Improvement to replace all siding, trim, gutters and to do some custom trim work (a fan - it looks great). Andy was on time for the estimate and was incredibly helpful. I'm the type that asks a million questions. The actual job went smoothly and was done wonderfully, quickly and efficiently... and they did a great job with clean up. The entire crew was friendly and courteous. I like that the company is family owned and that their crew works directly for them. During the job, they discovered that all the wood under my bow window had rotted. They replaced it (and other smaller areas of rotting wood elsewhere) without complaint. One of my biggest concerns with the job in general was ensuring that the underside of my rear cantilever was adequately insulated and fixed up so that severe winds and cold couldn't get in there any longer as that is where my kitchen hot and cold water lines are, and I had problems with the lines freezing during last winter's severe cold and winds. Andy and the crew understood and respected my concerns and made great effort to ensure that the underside of this cantilever was thoroughly insulated and sealed up. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Thank you very much Jeff, Bill, Andy and your hard working crew. I will be recommending you to friends and family and will see you this spring to talk about new doors.

If your home needs new siding, look no further. This is a 5 star organization. After unsuccessfully asking around our neighborhood for recommendations, I took to Angie's List to find a reputable siding company. Andy, one of the owners, promptly returned my call and set a time to come and give me an estimate. He was friendly and courteous and gave me a detailed estimate of the job. We received other estimates, that were in the same price range, but I liked the idea that the owners would be on site, working and supervising the crew. Andy patiently worked with me while I chose the color and type of siding. I felt as though he listened to my ideas and offered helpful suggestions. Once on the job, the crew was punctual, polite and hardworking. Every member of the JK crew was friendly and polite. I was really impressed. When they ran into a challenge with the porch/columns they consulted me, and did a lot of extra work (that did not result in any additional charges to us!) It really turned out beautifully. I was surprised by how quickly the job was completed and our house looks brand new! We have had lots of neighbors stop by to complement the new look of the house. I highly recommend this company!

The company is owned by 3 brothers whom are on the crews working, so there is always one of the owners on site. The crew showed up on time and got to work immediately. It was like mini armies. First, an army came in tore off the roof, put in insulation, and shingled. The next army came in and started on the two doors, then another for the siding, then another for the gutters. This company knows how to run a business. They get in get the job done and get out. The entire job took 3 days, it looks great and I couldn't be happier. I was getting complements instantly from neighbors and random people walking about. The guys on the crews were all professional, hard workers and very nice.

I would recommend this company to others.

We contacted them for a small repair on our house which we'd just sold and were paying daily rent on. They scheduled to come out with us in 4 days. Then, only hours before the expected repair, abruptly canceled last minute saying that they "were not accepting any additional work at this time". I wish they had told us this to begin with, as we would have certainly understood. But by wasting 4 days of our time, they wasted $240 of our money in unnecessary rent for the house. We assumed since they were rated so well on Angie's List that they would be prompt, professional, and helpful, but all they did was waste our time and force us to scramble to find another company who would actually schedule and perform the work for us. They wasted our time and our money.

He quoted me 1300 for probably 3 hours work. Yes gable ends are about 36 feet high. He stated he needed to have 5-6 guys there to make sure it was safe. It took 3 guys to originally install. It would cost about 150 for materials and that leaves 1150 for 3-4 hours of work. That is extremely pricey. Yes it was a small job and he sounded like he was very busy. I was going to do it myself but my wife didn't want me to. My ladder only is 28 feet high and I could not I am sure he has a good company but my experience with him was not

Our total bill was pretty high, but they were still the lowest bidder. I was very satisfied with the job. The workers were very hard workers and they took pride in their work. I checked them out with Home Adviser and with Angie's List and they had good reviews, no bad reviews. I got estimates from a number of companies from Angie's List and Home Adviser, and chose them. They showed up when they said they would. They knew what they were doing and they showed me some stuff.

We haven't had our job done yet, but I am confident this would be the company of choice. They were great!

We had a great experience with JK. They were easily accessible, answered all of our questions, and seemed very up front with us. They were priced right in line with others but we were drawn to them because of previous Angie's List reviews, the speed at which they could do the job, the fact that they used the same crew to perform the work, and an overall 'feeling' that they were the right fit for us. We also greatly appreciated the list of references they provided us with. They held up to their promise, the work was performed very quickly and efficiently. They are very detailed oriented, cleaned up spotlessly both days that they were at my home, and we are extremely happy with the the work they did. We will definitely look to them for future home needs.

Great experience and good guys you can trust. Showed up on time (and as agreed) and work was done to complete satisfaction. They even went above and beyond in several areas completing additional work for free that was not included in the original agreement. We did our due diligence with the competition by getting many quotes, and these guys are the ones you want to choose. The owners are on site the entire time overseeing the operation. They came like an army the first day, and our neighbors even commented that they were "one serious outfit". You get what you pay for here. Again, completely satisfied. 07/13/2014 Update: More great news to report about this company. After this work was done, we had our driveway replaced by another company and in that process they unfortunately damaged a portion of the siding accidentally with their heavy equipment. I called Andy / JK Improvement to request a repair to be completed at our expense. We were told that they would look at scheduling and get back with us. Within a week we were outside and noticed that the area had been repaired already back to new again. Thank you Andy for taking care of us. This was a very nice surprise and once again excellent customer support from your company! As stated above, you get what you pay for here. Completely satisfied!!

Siding job was fantastic. Great experience.

We called JK first after reviewing siding and gutter contractors and they lived up to what all the reviews say. They were prompt, efficient, and showed up and completed the job quickly and on time, despite some early December cold weather. Andy was responsive and easy to work with. They also do a great job cleaning up and leaving everything neat and tidy at the end of the day. Our neighbors were impressed and asked them to do their gutters and vents as well. I would definitely hire JK again.

The whole experience was outstanding. Andy came out promptly to give us a detailed quote on the work to be done. They coordinated their work with our window installers to make sure everything went smoothly. The team was fast and efficient and kept us informed on what was going on. They also gave us choices as the siding went up so things would look the way we liked best. The team cleaned up after themselves every night and were respectful of our property and the neighbors property. We have had a lot of positive comments from our neighbors on the new look of the house! Another company damaged our new siding putting an awning up and JK was prompt to come out and give a quote to repair it. They were hired by the awning company to make the repair, which they did quickly and efficiently. We were very pleased with their work and their work ethics.
