Andy had samples of the materials on hand when he quoted the job, which is much better than looking at a brochure. Professional crew and clean up was exceptional. JK Construction did what they said they were going to do. Highly recommend!

Did all in one day. Had crew of 8 people. Had few minor issues which were fixed in few days. Good company, not the cheapest and rather on the high price range. But very good experienced team....

The job went well, and fairly quick. I had numerous estimates given by various companies. JK Home Improvement were not the least expensive,and they were not the most expensive either. Although, I was nervous about choosing this company, due to it being a smaller company...I did my research and read many positive reviews from prior customers. I am pleased with the work that JK Home Improvement performed and also the customer service, in which was given.

JK Home Improvements was originally considered for this project. Andy was very confident in their ability and their quality. We did speak with a few contractors and after receiving a few bids we went with another contractor. Unfortunately that quickly turned into a disaster and the contract was voided. So I called JK Home Improvements again. We explained what had happened with the first contractor and the terrible experience we had and why we were calling him back. He was ready to accept the 25% down payment on the original bid, but I wanted to walk through everything on the project again to confirm they could complete the job on our timeline. Andy was ready to proceed after the second walk through but we needed a window estimate because we added it to the original bid. He said he would get the revised estimate to us after hearing from the window rep. It would take a few days. We waited and then a few days after his visit he was back with someone walking around the house without letting us know he was coming. We were home and it caught us off guard to see people walking in the backyard unannounced. They left before we could talk with them. The next day he texted me stating my email was not delivering and we determined he made a typo in my email address. He corrected it and a short while later I got an email stating they now had concerns over one area of our home and they felt they couldn't do the entire project. I was shocked. No phone call, no discussion, and two separate visits walking through in detail the project and suddenly by email we find out they won't do the project. My neighbor had their home done by JK Home Improvements and I see they do quality work, but the customer service I received was less then professional.

Let me start by saying this is the first time we have used Angie’s List and are very pleased with the results, thank you. After 20+ years our home was in need some exterior repairs. The wood trim had began to show evidence of rot and mold, the stain / paint was weathered and faded, the window shutters were showing their age and the original gutters and downspouts were in need of replacement. We had contacted a few local siding and gutter companies including JK Home Improvement whom we found on Angie’s List. Mr. Andy Kondrath from JK Home Improvement came to our home and spent time with us to talk and walk thru our wants and desires. After our discussion, Andy provided many recommendations to address our needs and provided additional ideas that would enhance the overall appearance of our home. After receiving various quotes we choose to go with JK Home Improvement based on the level of detail in their quote, the competitiveness of their quote, the professional way Andy addressed us and the project, demonstration of the materials to be used and the photographic evidence of prior jobs. These guys were excellent. They arrived right on time the day they said they would with a crew of eight guys. They were all very professional and focused. They knocked out the job in 2 days and cleaned up thoroughly. Everything looked fantastic when they were done. I'd definitely recommend them.

They were very fast and the work was nicely done. The price was very reasonable. But i wish they could have sent a notice one day before they came instead of telling us ' next week ' without any specific date. In addition, i wish they could be more nicer to the flowers in our yard.

One of the owners came and provided an estimate -they were on time, professional, courteous. The two phases of work were done ahead of schedule and much quicker than expected. The workers did the work without me being there, did a great job, and left the work area clean. It was a great experience and they even threw in a bonus storm door! I would definitely use them again and recommend to others.i

I asked JK Home Improvement to come out to talk about replacing my siding. In the first 2 minutes, we realized I wasn't planning to buy vinyl products (not allowed by my homeowners association), which is what they use. But Andy still spent a few minutes educating me about the products in the industry and offering me a recommendation for a colleague who does use the materials I will need. I felt like he was very professional and really appreciated the time he spent trying to help me even after he realized he wouldn't be getting my business. What a stand up guy.

Great. Andy showed up on time to provide an estimate, showed products that would be used, and provide a very competitive estimate. Crew started right on time and was very professional. Crew chief discussed installation options with me to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. The materials used for the soffits had hidden vents so they added extra ventilation while giving a nicer finished look than before. Crew cleaned up well and everything was returned to its place. This was one of the best experiences I've had with a contractor and I would feel confident it hiring them again.

Excellent - look no further! Over the past couple of years, I have gotten burned by Angie's List so-called "top" contractors. So, I was hesitant when I decided to hire anyone off Angie's List again. But JK Home Improvement is excellent. Andy and his brother Jeff came out for the quote. They were very knowledgable and took the time to answer all of my questions. Also, I will be blunt. I hate when a big company gives the job out to subcontractors. You are at the mercy of whatever sub gets your job that day, and I am at the point where I will not hire a company with subs if possible. Jeff and Andy assured me that they had a full time staff (no subs!) and that they would be on the job site every day. All of those promises were kept. Their brother Bill was also onsite and performed the work on my porch columns. The entire crew was polite and always took the time to listen to me if I had a question or concern. Andy was very easy to reach by text message, and he always replied within a few minutes. They also cleaned up after themselves very well. My house looks beautiful - this was a large investment, and my husband and I could not be happier. This is a great company, and I plan on using them again.

Very well. This was our first siding project and involved the complete replacement of original, 37 year-old aluminum siding and gutters on a single family colonial home. It was also the most costly home improvement project we had undertaken. Andy Kondrath was punctual and knowledgeable in giving us a firm written estimate of work to be performed, provided photographic examples of his company's previous work, cited previous work performed in our own neighborhood as a reference point, and clearly explained the overall project, including materials options, techniques, and installation schedule. He was knowledgeable, respectful, and experienced in this type of work and on our type of home. We were reassured by the fact he does not use sub-contractors and payment would not be due until after completion of the job (with the exception of a $1K deposit). Andy also gave us helpful ideas and insights in selecting the colors and styles for the new siding and shutters based on the experiences of his previous customers, industry trends, and current home buyer preferences. Andy conceded he was not the lowest-cost siding contractor, but we decided that quality and value were more important than absolute price point. There were no high-pressure sales tactics and services were ultimately delivered just as promised during the estimate. Jeff Kondrath was on-site to oversee the siding work and manage a large crew, which finished the siding work as scheduled and projected (3-1/2 days for an all-siding colonial). Site clean-up was prompt and thorough. Separate, smaller crews were dispatched the following week to install gutters and a couple weeks later to install the shutters, which we color-matched after the siding was installed and which had to be special ordered. When one change was requested on the completed gutter work, the crew promptly returned the following day to add a downspout over a lower roof. The final result was an exceptional upgrade to the exterior appearance of our home and to its expected energy efficiency this winter, since the work also included new insulation being placed underneath the siding. On the last day the crews properly re-attached all accessories (e.g., exterior light fixtures, garage door keypad, electrical outlet covers, etc.). They also ran wires to the satellite dish under the siding rather than stapled to the outside of the house as before and installed new light fixtures and a doorbell button (which we had purchased separately to match the new siding's color/style). At our request, Andy also used stone veneer siding in the front porch area as an accent. The final fit and finish of the siding, gutters, accessories, and caulking were all excellent. One note of caution if you have siding work performed when landscape flowers, shrubs, or trees are nearby--cover or protect them during work. In order to access work areas, crews had to erect/move ladders and haul materials over, around and through landscaped areas, which took a beating. If you have a prize rose bush (which we don't), be sure to protect it before work begins. Fortunately our job was done in the fall and the flowers/shrubs/trees should come back just fine next spring.

Fantastic! Andy, Jeff and the crew did an amazing job. They literally rebuilt the outside of our house and there were many small surprises that they took care of. Fantastic communication, friendly crew and top notch craftsmanship.

They were very rude. They said they don't have anytime and their schedule was full. They said could probably do it in a year or two, and hung up. That is completely ridiculous. They wouldn't even give me a chance to finish speaking.

The trim, gutters and door were a perfect match to the color of the trim on windows that were installed several years ago. The storm door "fit like a glove" .The craftsmanship was outstanding with special attention to every little detail. Work was done expeditiously with no mess whatsoever left around the home. Andy gave us a quote. I was really impressed with his professionalism and attention to detail. Ultimately, we went with another vendor (they offered a different style of gutter-guard which we preferred). However, I was quite impressed with Andy's expertise and familiarity with our particular needs.

Experience was amazing from start to finish even with some uncooperative weather. The crew was very professional and friendly, and gave high attention to detail. House looks like night and day from before. Would definitely recommend their services to anybody. Their price was not the cheapest quote but very close to the competition. Don't mind to pay a little more for ease of mind.

Went very well. Everything was planned very well from the dumpster delivery for the tear off and roofing. Very neat. Only took another week to coordinate the new garage door. The final payment wasn't due until everything was done.
