I have been quite pleased with this company and would definitely recommend them.

My lawn is very green. They are very good. I tried to do this on my own last year and did not work. They have done a great job. I am not getting rid of them any time soon.

In just 3 months, Independent Lawn Service has "whipped" my lawn into shape. I have had several lawn fertilizer plus services over the years and none have come close to the results we have seen with Independent.Starting with aeration & over-seeding in the spring, insect control in the summer and of course their monthly fertilizing/weed control, my lawn has never looked better. Family, friends and neighbors have asked about it often.Independent is not the cheapest out there, but they are not the most expensive either. Excellent results at a fair price.

I am very pleased with them. I had used them because they had offered an aeration promotion. They did a great job so I hired them for the whole season to fertilize the lawn. The rate seems fair. The lawn looks great and I have not had any problems with them.

Checked with Angies List first. looking for Livonia area with good reviews and called a few companies. These people were most professional of those called even though slightly higer in price. i appreciated their knowledge and willingness to please their customers and gave them a try. They have only performed one visit but i chose to do the whole year program with them based on my experience. So far i am very happy!!

This service is a series of applications, but so far, we are happy with the service.

Everything went well, from initial contact with the company to the last service performed.

So far the company has been very responsive to questions, leaves detailed reports on their service, and has been flexible when necessary. At one point, when we were not able to accommodate the planned schedule, Independent was completely willing to change their visit. In addition, the lawn looks better than it has in the three years we have been in our home, a time during which we have used three different providers.

Everything running well for now, but they do not call in advance for then visits.But I am happy with the application... they took care with some toys on the ground

The first two services were done on time with no problems.

It's working very well on my lawn. I have a nice green yard all summer long.

When I contacted this company and explained state of my lawn the sales agent suggested these services. They are nothing new to me but his honesty in providing information and provided information on their capabilities helped me make a decision on buying services from them. So far I like their service.

One of our old trees is really struggling and this is one of the few places we've found that does this treatment. Fortunately we found a deal for it on Angie's List as it was a good $20 elsewhere. The tree technician who came out was impressively knowledgeable about trees, and along with the treatment, we have some hope of saving our beloved tree. Time will tell. We hope to have Independent back for future treatments if it helps, and hope to have budget for their lawn care soon also.

Great, so far. Have had two applications - no issues up to this point.

We signed a full season contract with them because we were very happy with the work they have done. There was one spot that they missed. I called and left a message that the dandelions were still there. They came back out with in 24 hours and put another application of weed killer on it. I was very pleases with that service. They are very responsive. We only had the one treatment but the fact that they were very responsive and came back very quickly when I called, I was very impressed with that. The lawn is looking good.

So far the lawn service has been great. My grass is growing well and the lawn service reminded me to check my sprinkler system to make sure the lawn is getting proper watering coverage. I did got the package deal that last through the summer.

**EDIT** Will from Independent Lawn Service contacted me upon reading the Angie's List review I posted, which is reproduced below. He told me that ILS stands behind their work and was willing to do whatever it took to make me happy, which in and of itself was great to hear. We discussed my thoughts on the lateness of the crabgrass preventer, and it seems that I mistook "barnyard grass" which has a similar tubular stalk for crabgrass, which actually grows outward, and is not present in my yard. After that, Will suggested that he come out to my house and walk my lawn with me, and he basically took about a half an hour diagnosing the issues that I had in my yard, apart from (and including) the barnyard grass. The information that Will gave me was invaluable for my ability to make my lawn look like I want it to, and I'm very impressed with their response to my needs/whining. I would definitely use them for any further lawn service that I did not want to perform myself. **End of Edit** I scheduled the services upon purchasing the deal, and they informed me that they were not going to set up an appointment, but instead they would let me know a few days prior to coming out. I didn't particularly care for that approach. The aeration service occurred after about two weeks, and the fertilization occurred about two weeks after that. By the time the Independent Lawn Service came to put down the crabgrass preventer, the crabgrass was already taller than the lawn grass itself, rendering the service pointless and futile. The company should have realized that due to the warm spell in March, they would need to perform the crabgrass prevention earlier. I did not get my money's worth.

Will (the owner) was so helpful that I spoke with my daughter who also lives in the area. She had decided on doing her lawn care herself this season due to the costs involved (They are expecting their first child and they are trying to keep their expences down). Again Will worked with me and was able to come up with a rate that was to good to pass up. He even offered to pass along a referral discount that was meant for us, just to help lower her cost. I plan to write a follow up review, but I really do not expect that I will be disappointed with this company. Clearly they have their Customer Service down. Good Job Will. services

Excellent service and attention to detail. Called Independent thru an Angies Deal for Deep Root Feeding and then moved all my fertilization needs to them after being impressed with the knowledge and dedication to their work.

Our lawn's condition has been improving all season. They even came out to access the lawn to determine the future formulations of fertilizer and weed preventatives. He walked the lawn with me while discussing it and spot treating some problem areas.

They are very reliable and do a good job. They were punctual and do a neat job. They get in and out easily and call me before coming. I like their services and will use the same in future.

The owner Will called me within an hour of the Angie's list purchase, and used Google earth to immediately determine the size of our lawns and how much extra they would charge us for being over the maximum of 10,000 square feet. They applied the fertilizer/pre-emergent in early May. The fertilizer was quite effective. Even though I did not expect it to control dandelions, it killed them within two hours. The company was very willing to delay scheduling the aeration until our lawns had dried out after a record wet spring. The technician was friendly and professional. I would not hesitate to use them again. In fact, I plan to if they have a similar Angie's List deal next spring.

THEY ARE A VERY SOLID COMPANY. THEY ARE VERY RELIABLE THEY ALWAYS SHOW UP NO MATTER WHAT. THEY ALWAYS DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO DO, WHICH IS HARD TO FIND THESE DAYS.
