Lawn left with brown spots. Maybe from weed killer in front lawn but back yard only had fertilizer and still got brown spots. Over application?

I have always done my own fertilizing, with moderate to good success depending on the year, and whatever was attacking my lawn. 2017 I thought I would try a professional company. It started off slow, actually I was a bit disappointed. We are not home a lot in the summer so I was not receiving the technician's notes (very valuable). He indicated that we needed more water on the lawn and that we had Bill bugs that were causing bare spots in the lawn. Treating these two things as well as grub treatment made a huge difference. My lawn is getting to the point I've always wanted it to be at. I think the technician is very knowledgeable and is looking to solve problems that may come up in my lawn. I would recommend Independent Lawn Service.

They are great, I have sent them to my neighbors and to several others. The price changes every years. They are very responsive if you have any questions they are always willing to give you a answer. I pay yearly.

I normally don’t write reviews but in this case I feel compelled to write about the outstanding service that I have received from Independent Lawn Service. Up until the middle of 2015 I always took care of the feeding and maintenance of the lawn myself. But because I have a 1.28 acre lot, and advancing age, it was becoming too much of a burden and so (after meeting with the owner, Wesley Griffin, who is very knowledgeable and helpful) I subsequently contracted with Independent Lawn Services for the feeding of the lawn, and for the control of weeds, moles and grubs, along with a fall aeration. The results have been outstanding and my lawn has never looked so good! Weeds are at a minimum, the grass is thicker and moles and grubs have vanished. The technicians, who are very friendly, courteous and responsive arrive at regular intervals during the season and always leave a notification of the treatment performed. The office staff is also very helpful whenever I call. One other advantage is the significant discount offered for paying in advance for the next season’s treatments. I routinely take advantage of this great opportunity-it not only saves money but is also very convenient and eliminates the chore of writing of multiple checks. I cannot speak too highly of Independent Lawn Service and can thoroughly recommend them to other homeowners. My only regret is that I live too far away from Livonia for them to be able to offer me lawn cutting- and leaf clean-up services!

I've used Independence Lawn for a while. They communicate really well, they're dependable, and they offer good service. They do the little things which I appreciate. For example, we have a fence and a dog. They always make sure to close and lock the fence before they leave. That's a big deal to us because we don't want the dog to get out. I also like that when you call their office, you get an actual person and your questions get answered. All in all, I would always use them for our lawn needs.

Perfect. It was performed in the stated timeframe and completed without any issues at all.

Requested that no herbicides/pesticides to be used, but they applied it anyway then left an unpaid bill at the door for what I already paid. Because I wasn't going to use the full service with chemicals and pesticides around the home (Mark) offered aeration instead. Wasn't documented in the "notes" so we are SOL.

We don't live in a subdivision that you really have to keep updated like a subdivision. We live outside a subdivision that looks like a private community and it's not so bad about keeping things updated. So when there was a special I was like, oh my gosh, let me call this one. And they've already applied the first application. Then I called again the other day just to find out, because I said wait a minute. How come I'm being charged for this. I said I got the $79 for three service and it looks like I'm being charged. So I talked to this lady and she said your not being charged. You paid the $79 and supposed to have three applications and only one application has been done and you still have two more. I said oh, okay, I just want to verify because it looks like I was being charged. So it was cleared up. And they said the next application will be sometime next month. Very good. Unless there is a problem later on so far, so good. They're nice. They listen to you and they don't pushy. You know how some people can be really pushy.

Everything good except a little bit carefuless and broke one of my solar powered lights

I initially started with just basic weed service but I was so impressed with their service that I enrolled with them for annual lawn maintenance service. They are very professional and easy to deal with. Always patient with my novice questions . They leave a report after each of their servicing explaining what they did and what is recommended. My lawn looks much greener and more importantly NO MORE WEEDS!!!

Service is going very well so far. Company was responsive to the fact that I want to keep a more eco-friendly lawn without a lot of pesticides and just did fertilization for me without pesticide application. Set up aeration and fertilization schedule for the year.

I went with others before, the price was the same, but I like the work that they do. They use granules, instead of others. They use liquid for the weed killer, and use granules for fertilizer. I have watched them out here when they done it, they cover the whole yard, and do a good job.

Went fine. Significantly reduced the mole problem. Did not rehire for 2017 because we are going to sell the house.

It was a coupon of $79. It was fine. It was this coupon so price was fine. I don't know if it's not a coupon, then what is the price? With that coupon it was A.

Good , but never tried anyone so no idea of the competitors . Their price is a bit more than a few other ads but we chose them because our friends recommended and so far we are satisfied with their services .

Great service, I'm quite a bit away from where they are located but they said that it wouldn't be a problem. Great customer service and excellent work. I would hire them again.
