I reviewed Angie's List to find a company that could help me determine if I needed new gutters. Great lakes Gutter seemed like the right company for me. They came out right away, were able to explain why we needed larger gutters (which is what I thought too) and started the job within a week. They finished the job within 2 days and I was very pleased. The good news is the gutters work and blend in beautifully with our home.

They were very professional. They were on time and they did a great job! They estimated the job would take about eight hours, but it only took them six.

I was very impressed with John, my sales rep. He was accommodating, prompt and courteous. He listens! He gets it. Treated us with respect. Doesn't waste time. Over-delivers. Broke out estimate for ease of decision. The crew, Ron & Keith were prompt, courteous, professional...There to do their job...in a efficient and confident manner. Liked their friendly demeanor and no-problem attitude when I made a small change to the plans. I wish every contractor was like this team!

The company matched the blue-grey color of our existing gutters. Work was done quickly and as we wished. The leftover drain crocks were cemented. Everything was cleaned up.

Company asked to reschedule time of day which was OK with me. They showed up on time however i was not here to see the completion. I asked for a walk around. They complied & answered my questions.

No problems, no surprises except for other unrelated problems they discovered and alerted me to.

Crew showed up on time and continued to work until the job was done. They were very professional, walked me around the house to make sure I was satisfied with the job, and cleaned up the site before they left.

The estimate & quote were done the next day after I called. The work was performed in the next few days. The work was done well; the area was left clean.

Company arrived on time . The team lead introduced himself and his crew they were done in a couple hours and cleaned up everything .They were a very professional and well equipped crew..

After getting a quote from the company rep, I spoke with the owner of the company and asked if I could pay half when the job was done, and the other half 30 days later, to make sure the job was done correctly. He would not agree to this, but assured me his crews did excellent work. On the day they had finished, in much less time than what I was told to expect, and had left, I looked out my upstairs window onto a portion of my lower roof, and saw that they had left my TV cable wires on top of the roof (one of the gutters ran under the eaves). I called them immediately, and the company sent the same "keystone cops" crew back to fix it. I wasn't watching what they did, but the next day, when I checked, they had only taken the cables off the roof and laid them on top of the gutter guards!! The company who installed the old gutters were very careful to replace the cables very neatly underneath the gutters. I was astonished at this, as I have yard squirrels that love chewing through wires. I called the company back, and they sent a different crew, at my request. They seemed to attach the cables in the right place, although not very neatly. However, the next time there was a strong wind, the extension to the downspout that runs perpendicular to the width of that same roof into the gutter, started vibrating loudly. Apparently, this was a result of them "fixing" the cable problem. I called them to come back and wanted to make sure I was here when they returned. They must have come in my absence, because the vibrating is not as deafening (it was outside my bedroom window), but is still there to a degree. I wouldn't recommend this company, nor would I hire them again. If the first crew was in a hurry to get the job done, it showed, at my expense. Update as of 04/2014: the loud vibration of the downspout attached to the second story was caused by the downspout never having been attached to the house, which I found out this spring when house was being worked on.

Contacted this company based on positive Angie reviews for gutter repalcement. The represenative showed up on time for the initial estimate. We agreed on a price and the installation was set up for a few days later. On the morning of the install, the workers showed up earlier than expected and were done in less than 3 hours. The workers did a excellent job of cleaning up. Condidering the size of my home- 2500 sg ft., I was surprised of the price of 912.00. A few days after the install, it rained and the leaks were gone. I would definitely recommend this company to other members.

The crew was right on time & very professional. They answered questions but did not waste time. Worked steadily and done when they said they would be. No hidden costs. I was very happy with the work.

I called Great Lakes Gutters and met with Johnny that walked around the house with me and explained the different products and areas that needed gutters. We bought a one level house that had many leaks into the basement.I wanted to go with commercial gutters since it was recommended by the house inspector. The house had some gutters. One of the gutters had drainage pipe coming down through the front porch that made the front entrance to the house look ugly. Johhny drew a quick sketch on how to fix the issue and how the final product would look like. I thought it was great that he explained all the different products but was honest as to what the house needed and did not oversell just presented options. Few days after Keith and Ron showed up and removed old gutters, cleaned the area and installed new gutters. Keith and Ron were very professional and very efficient! Excellent work!

A three man crew, reported as scheduled at 8:00 am in 3 1/2 hours they were finished. All work areas were clear of debris, the crew leader, Ron, was very receptive to any concerns.

They arrived about an hour late, but that was no big deal as no one had to stay at home and wait for them. They completed the job in about an hour, which was their original estimate, and everything works and looks good so far.

They responded right away, arrived as promised, did a great job, and went above and beyond as they really "tuned up" my gutters. Many of my gutters are really hard to get to, so it wasn't easy. It is so great to have a company like this who is responsive, keeps their appointments, and makes sure customers are satisfied. Thank you!

The job from the beginning went very well. They were efficient and did a very good job. I am very satisfied. I called them andthey gave me a quote over the phone and performed the work the next day.

We got an estimate & were able to get the work done a few days later. They came on time, did the work quickly, cleaned up very thoroughly and did exactly what we wanted done. They were also very flexible when I changed my mind about details. We are very happy with the results.

The guys were very professional, they addressed my concerns, cleaned up the old gutters/trim. They did ask where i wanted the new gutters.

We were admittedly annoying customers?we wanted removal one day, installation weeks later, we wanted samples and we moved our dates around. Great Lakes accommodated all of our requests. In addition to being accommodating, they did absolutely great work: 1) The gutters were properly angled down towards the downspouts so that water drains effectively 2) The seams were properly sealed with good sealant 3) They used screws?not long nails?to fix the gutters 4) They used a ton of gutter reinforcements to make them extremely strong 5) The fits and cuts of all their work was very precise 6) Their foeman introduced himself and asked what we wanted and discussed our options Gutters are not a sexy home improvement but we are extremely happy with the high quality of work that was done?our painters even commented on how strong the gutters were and how good the work looked. We have been restoring an old home and are extremely critical of contractors that work on our house?we can?t recommend Great Lakes more highly. They are a truly professional firm that delivers high quality work at a competitive price. We have already recommended their work to others. Highly recommended.

The workers arrived on time. They were very professional, polite, and all around pleasant to have working on my home. They worked the entire day and into the early evening the first day. The foreman rang the doorbell to let me know that they would return the next morning. They cleaned up all the debris in the yard before leaving. The next day the crew arrived shortly after 8:00 A.M. They finished the work, picked up any debris that may have fallen and swept the patio and walkways. Because I was not home when the job was complete, the foreman called me on my cell and was very polite and willing to accommodate my schedule to inspect and pay the invoice. I was close to home so I immediately cam home and walked around and inspected the job with the foreman. He was very knowledgeable and extremely professional. I wrote a check and the next day I received a follow-up call from the company asking about my experience. The day after, I received a receipt of payment from Great Lakes Gutters. I cannot say enough great things about this company. If every company conducted their operation like Great Lakes Gutters, we wouldn't need an Angie's List!

Initial consult was fine, given a work order with the recommended repairs/replacements and a separate quote for gutter guards. Also, given a price for cleaning the gutters. Afterwards, I made an appointment for just a cleaning and the repair/replacement work per the original consultation. No one showed up for the appointment so 45 minutes later I called their office to check. I was told that 2 people "called off" and they would have to contact the service crew to check and get back to me. 45min-1 hour later I received a call from a different rep who stated that they would not be able to do the work that day. Then she proceeded to tell me that actually they don't do partial replacements at all and do not do cleanings in my area and not for the price quoted. I reminded her that I had spoken with 3 other representatives of the company that had given me quotes and appointment times to do the work. No apologies, nothing except to tell me that my job should not have been scheduled. I did receive a follow up call and a letter in regards to this posting. I appreciate top managements commitment to the company and to the attempt to rectify my experience. Even though they did not perform any service for me, I updated my ratings to reflect this follow up as their commitment seems genuine and my experience not typical.

The job went VERY well, overall. Pat replied to my quote request within 36 hours - he was the only one to do so out of three companies I contacted (and the other two are BOTH well rated on the List!). After answering his questions, and clarifying some issues, he immediately e-mailed me a quote. I responded, accepting his quote, and the job was scheduled for 5/18, between 9-11 am. At 9:30 on 5/18, Mike and John showed up to perform the work. They did it in a friendly, courteous, efficient, and overall professional manner, including a thorough cleanup of the property. The whole process from quote request to cleanup, took less than two weeks! The "good" rating on Responsiveness is simply a suggestion. Pat's last contact was basically "reply to this e-mail, saying that you accept the terms/conditions, and we'll be out Friday, between 9-11 am." The logical implication is that if I said "yes," they would do the job - WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED!! Maybe it's just that in this day and age, we can't always count on someone's keeping his word so well, but it might be a good idea to close the communication loop by sending one more e-mail, saying something like "we're looking forward to seeing you Friday, May 18!"

Prompt quote. Prompt and excellent install. Professional staff. Inspected all house gutters, but did not recommend guard for any place else on house, even though we would have installed on all gutters if they had recommended...very honest!
