Costco

Called Costco and had local dealer out for a bid. Dealer gave 3 options, good, better and best. We had the good and better written up. We also get a bid from another dealer and then compared the offers. The bottom line was the same for the Costco good bid and the other bid, I compared the hardware and found that the furnaces were exactly the same. Costco's deal had a 3 ton 16 SEER AC while the other had a 3.5 ton 13 SEER AC. The Costco offer also had a new humidifier, the other did not,. Over all I think the Cost bid had better equipment. Then I compared the out-of pocket aspect. Cost required $8000.00 up front and rebated me $1200.00 on a gift card. The rest of the difference came from DTE energy rebates which may not be available, so I better hurry and accept the deal. The other firm's out-of pocket was the 6340 after every thing was installed. Plus there was a 200 rebate if both AC had furnace were done at the same time. After that came the DTE rebates which were lower but lowered the bottom line to 5820. It seems that the Costco deal was real sweet for Costco but not for me.

I've been going to them for over 5 years and I've had wonderful, wonderful service. I can't recommend them highly enough. I am always going there. They do everything they can to please their members. Their office environment is not so cool. It is in the warehouse but they do have their own booth.

The photo department is staffed by good people. They were very friendly and helpful. I was pleased with their service.
