Description of Work: They did a fantastic job of relining our chimney despite facing extremely trying weather and masonry problems. Wonderful group to work with and very fairly priced. Went above and beyond my expectations!

Description of Work: Came to estimate a gas fireplace insert. Requested 50% down at time. "Forgot to log into system" and no work was scheduled until November. Had to threaten action to get deposit back. Caveat emptor

Description of Work: Replace portion of fireplace that had developed a crack, also sweeper and inspected fireplace & chimney.

Description of Work: Paid for gas log fire place tune up, cleaning and inspection -was scheduled to arrive between 12:00-1 on 12/2 - tech called around 2 said delayed in Grand Rapids, had 2 more hours work there -would be there around 5 --came and inspected components underneath only - said I need a thermopile for $580. ---called next day to reschedule --rescheduled to 12/19 between 8-10 --called at 10:40 to tech and office - tech called back at 11;15 - truck trouble --call Mon. 12/21 to re/schedule - left message --called again 1/4 -still have not heard from them --

Description of Work: They never showed up. They were called the day of and no answer. They were called the next day and were very apologetic and a new appointment was set up. They never showed up for that appointment either nor did they call to inform me they were not coming. In my opinion, they were very unprofessional and do not know how to run a business to obtain customers nor keep them for that matter.

Description of Work: Wonderful! He's a really fun guy! He is clean, on time and made some minor repairs without charging me anything additional.

Description of Work: They were slow responding to my call for an estimate. I called one office, someone from another office showed up, and then another office called and said the estimator and the regional manager would be there shortly after the sales person had already been of site.

Description of Work: Cleaned and inspected wood burning fireplace chimney and stove pipe. | |Worked quickly but maybe too quick. Lots of remaining soot. | |They were OK but I am sure there are better.

Description of Work: they were hired to remove old ceramic flue and replace with steel liner. After 4 different visits (first crew was not aware that a new damper was part of the jov) they were completed. I made monthly payments according to the arrangement we made at signing (details were in writing). After payments were complete I still got calls from "Stormy" demanding the remaining balance. They eventually left me alone after I sent copies of all the checks they cashed. | |Two years later I hired a different (respected) company to clean the flue liners. They would not touch it because all the work done by Chimney Cricket was not to code. The liner had no seal and smoke just went around it, building up creosote in between the liner and brick causing a very UNSAFE condition. | |After a few different quotes it appears it will cost me at least $5000 to have their work removed and a real liner put in. | |STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!

Description of Work: They cleaned my chimney and did an inspection. Their inspection consisted looking at my chimney with a flashlight. I had to have someone else come in and do an inspection and fix my chimney because I could tell there was cracks.
