Description of Work: Although we were not Angie's List members at the time we engaged Chimney Cricket services, the first question he asked us when he arrived at our home was "Did you find me on Angie's List?" We replied NO - we found you in the phone book. He did perform some services well, but the main service was providing us with a new Chimney Cap. Three months after installation with a high wind weather event, the cap blew off the rear of our home & landed in our front yard - damaging the new cap. He sent out a staff member 2 days later to repair & put it back up. Since then we have called him more than 15 times to come out as we have a leak coming into our fireplace wall/ceilings from the cap. He has never responded - we will need to contract with someone else to repair what we paid him $1600 for in May 2013. We are so very disappointed - his references were all happy with his services although they had only used him for brick work, not chimney work.

Description of Work: I contacted them for insurance work due to storm damage because I'd used them once for chimney cleaning, and thought they were okay in their work. They were supposed to come out, access the damage and call me with an estimate. They never came out, I called once and left a message, no one called me back, then I called again and was told the manager would call me, she never did. I called back again and still no response. I finally contacted another company who came out and did the work within a few days.

Description of Work: Chimney brick repair and house to be mortored/tucked. They sent (I did not check ID badges and found this out from the company later) unlicensed foreign men who did not speak English. They used chaulk on the house, left a mess, and did not do any of the job properly. I complained and company sent out representative who cleaned up the mess and cleaned up the chimney. The company did not offer any refunds, discounts, or even agologies. It was a horrible experience. I did not have Angie's list back then.
