They did a great job

I had a full irrigation installed on a new build single family home here in Michigan. There wasn’t any grass and the ground was not frozen and was wet sounds easy enough. Steve came out to provide an estimate and he said he could have somebody install it the next day. Only one employee showed up and was able to install pipe. That was at least done. It soon took a course for the worse. I even gave them professionally designed plans that was created specifically for this house. When I went to go inspect it there was only rotors and no pop-ups as described in requirements. When I asked to change the front yard to pop-ups I received a lot of confrontation and agitated answers from the crew and the foreman. I also requested that the drip line be replaced correctly and they would say they would. I finally gave them a check and they have never come back since to fix the heads or the drip line. No answers from Steve or whoever is the manager. I had to buy my own parts to save my dying sod. I would stay away from them as they are not a professional company.

Scheduling was easy, Alex and Victor came within 1 business day of scheduling. Team was very knowledgeable and explained all steps. Very reasonable pricing, total cost $420. I highly recommend Black Diamond Sprinkler.

I hired Steve because in the past he had helped me getting one new zone added. This time I wanted to add 4 additional sprinklers heads. I was quoted 80$ per sprinkler head. However I ended up paying 110 per sprinkler head. On top of it I was charged 55$ for the visit to give me an estimate. I always had the visit charge waived if I give the service to them and that is how it used to work all the previous times. This time the person was adamant and demanded the additional 55$ charge. I would not recommend using them.

Recently had a new system installed and winterized a week later due to colder weather drawing near. Had a few days to play with the system. Discovered a punctured line the next day which was quickly resolved at no cost (warranty). The owner Steve is very friendly and speaks to you as a person rather than a company trying to sell you something. Very happy with the service performed and the price. Will go back to Black Diamond for all future maintenance.

All seems to work perfectly.

I expected the job to be $200, and it wound up being $800. It wasn't their fault at all, but the company that re-leveled our driveway damaged part of my system, so a whole section of the system didn't work. They did a really good, and will be using them in the future.

After replacing one "misty", one rotor, 2 lines, broken ball valve, and repairing vacuum breaker" all of which cost a total of $285.00, my sprinkler system would not work. Each time they came back (3 times) there was always a different issue. After the third time, I was informed that the timer needed to be replaced and I needed four new heads which would be an additional $285.00. Needless to say, I was not pleased and was told there was no way of them knowing that after all of the repairs were done that the sprinkler would not work. I was not eager to spend additional monies and still end up with a sprinkler system that does not work!

I had a pipe and wiring cut for our sprinkler system. It was a pretty simple fix which I expected would be done quickly. Since it was peak-time, I only got an appointment after a week, which was OK with me. A person from Black Diamond sprinkler system finally shows up during the day of the appointment. My wife shows him where the wiring and pipe were cut. The person starts digging up a hole to figure out where the pipe was cut. After all the digging of the holes, he says he does not have the pipes nor the tools to fix it then. He was going to leave with the holes still open, but I did not let him leave. So he fills the holes back and says his owner will call to confirm on the details for the week. It has been three days but I have yet to hear from either of them. The person came and like that, he's gone. I called their office three times. Once I was able to reach a lady who took down my number and said the owner would call back. Nothing till now. Maybe my work order was too small !! Totally unprofessional company. I would stay away from them at all costs.

It went well. We changed companies with our winterization last year. The gentleman who came out on both days, one to fix the pipe and the other to replace the sprinkler heads and check the sprinklers, was very nice and efficient. He explained everything to us and was knowledgeable and quick. Prices are reasonable and we will use them again each year for this same service. We are happy with the service they provide.

The installation went very smoothly. Two days after our sprinkler system was installed, we had new sod put in. We left for the part of the holiday weekend and returned Sunday to find two small areas of our yard were not getting enough water. I placed a call to Steve and within a couple of hours he came to our house to adjust all the sprinkler heads to ensure our large investment was protected. I feel like this type of service and commitment to their product is a rarity these days. Steve has come by a couple times himself or sent out one of his crews to make the necessary adjustments and even added a sprinkler head in an area I felt needed more thorough coverage. Thank you for caring about our landscape and grass investment.

I have used their service for many years and have always been more than satisfied. At first they were not sure how serious it was or if there was more than one hole (I had just had the lawn thatched). Thankfully it was one hole caused by roots from a tree. Digging the hole, repairing the line, replacing the dirt and lawn and getting the system running took only one hour. This provider has always been friendly, professional and punctual

The entire crew and office staff are very friendly, courteous and professional. The work went exceptionally well. Our irrigation system was installed at the end of the year so there was no time to pressurize the system before winter. I asked if they would come back next spring and turn the system and set the zones. He said they would. I called the first week it was nice enough and they were out that week. They pressurized the system and set all zones. They also worked extra hard and came back several times as the landscaper had buried many of the sprinkler heads. The crew was diligent in ensuring my system was working properly and I am appreciative. Great work. I would definitely use Black Diamond Sprinklers again.

They were very professional and very reasonable in price. They did excellent work. They were prompt and answered my phone calls. I had to cancel and reschedule and it was easy to do.

Black Diamond did a nice job installing my sprinkler system. Steve Black, the owner, came right away after I called and provided a quote. The quote matched a quote provided by one company and it was much lower than two other companies. The job was scheduled very quickly and I was happy I didn't' have to wait long. My yard has two trees, one of them is very, very large. The roots from these trees are dense and are underneath the entire front yard. Because of this, the project turned out to be a challenging one for Black Diamond. They had to work extra hard, but they completed the project on time. The yard suffered some damaged in certain areas because of all the roots that were removed. Black Diamond seeded those areas and the grass has grown back. A couple of days after the sprinkler system was installed it started having problems. We thought it could be the root system getting in the way and twisting a line. Steve Black came to the house three times over the following weeks to try to resolve the problem. He finally figured out that the problem was coming from a pipe inside the house that was partially blocked. Instead of having me call a plumber, Steve himself replaced the pipe section that was causing the problem. The sprinkler system works great now and I'm very happy with it.

They don't perform this service

Steve and his crew worked very hard, and did a great job for me. I think that I have10 or 11 zones, and everything is being watered automatically. I was especially concerned with watering our flowers and trees, and they are taken care of. The whole system was installed in two days, with a 2 hp pump drawing water out of the lake .

We have had them since we had the sprinkler system, for about ten years and it has been great and we have had no problems with them. I would recommend them.

Given the lower cost, this company far exceeded my expectations. Everything was done with care and consultation with us. The system works perfectly, and the owner was in touch about all aspects of using it--including after installation. We also got an estimate from another group that was almost twice as high. I cannot imagine a better result than we got.

Called them on approx. 5/23/12 . left a message explaining what work I needed performed. They didn't respond until 2 days later and stated that because of the holiday that they would call the Tuesday after Memorial Day. I never received another call from them.

Nothing really stands out about them. They were okay and seemed nice. They fixed the problem.

Their responsiveness is good. They showed up when they were suppose to and did what they were suppose to. They didn't have to interact with me. Their prices and quality of work is excellent.

They did a great job on the whole project. They finished the work in a great amount of time. We were so fortunate to find such a trustworthy company. We are really pleased with the whole service.
