M&S Wholesale Plumbing and Electrical. Free estimates available. Water heater installations and all plumbing same day service available.
"Very badly! Sean Maxa, owner of M&S Wholesale LLC took my money, $1,900 (provided by check), and did no work. He communicated with me via text message with excuses until Saturday 2/14/25. Now he doesn't respond to my texts, or answer my calls. His phone goes to voicemail and his mailbox is full. It then hangs up."

"A huge thank you to Bryce Edlund from Foundation Systems of Michigan (FSM)! After years of spending thousands of dollars on various contractors and basement systems companies to fix a persistent leak in my basement, I finally met Bryce. He took the time to listen to my story, asked insightful questions, conducted a thorough inspection, and identified the problem, offering a permanent solution. I was at my wit's end with nowhere else to turn when I called FSM, and they sent Bryce, who is knowledgeable, personable, helpful, and incredibly talented. I am beyond happy and relieved to have found someone who could finally solve my long-standing issue. Now, I have peace of mind and a solution that works, something the other 5 companies failed to provide. Look no further, folks—Bryce at FSM is your go-to problem solver!"

James Lewis Mosier Well Drilling
"The first thing that the old man did was come into our home and insult me. To make it worse, his slander was done in front of others. Next he left mud everywhere he went, forcing us to clean up after him. Then he required the pump to be pulled from the well and a new part fitted because his old one failed. Not done for free, that's for sure. He could not remember the information about the well. Instead he relies upon some scribbling he does on the pressure tank. He does not use a professional-looking sticker on the front of the tank. Instead his scribbles are on the back, so that when the tank is repositioned properly during remodel, he complains he can't read it. Talk about unprofessional. I recommend this company to be avoided at all costs."

About Dohm Well Drilling in Dowagiac, Michigan DohmDrillingWellDrillingEdwardKellyDowagiacMI Get experience and professionalism you can trust for all your geothermal and traditional well drilling needs from Dohm Well Drilling Inc. in Dowagiac, Michigan. Our reliability is built into the company itself. We are a family-operated firm that has been doing business since 1954. Harold Schaus III also owns Ramona Roller Rink and Mini Golf in Sister Lakes, Michigan. It's a great place to find him on weekends if you have a pump or well problem. Harold is the oldest of the boys and has his Michigan Well Drillers license. When Harold III was growing up, he used his little red wagon and a small wooden ladder as his drilling rig. He would stand the ladder up behind his wagon and, using a hammer, he would pound pipe into the ground. He was playing Well Driller. One of his old play wells had to be pulled out of the ground by his dad with a drilling rig. Joseph Schaus, next to the youngest in the family, is book smart. He was the one that started using the rotary type drilling and has made the business what it is today. Joe does the directional boring and most of the drilling, along with running the business. He is the boss, unless our mom tells him otherwise. Joe has both Michigan and Indiana well drilling licenses. Edward Kelly Schaus does the hooking up of wells and service calls. Kelly, as he is called, always has a big smile on his face and is attracted to shiny things. If he sees scrap metal lying around, he will ask if you would like him to haul it away for you. With his scrap-hauling money, he has been focusing on his passion for model T cars. DohmDrillingWellDrillingEdwardKellyDowagiacMI DohmDrillingWellDrillingaboutusDowagiacMI

Estimating what size well pump you need is challenging and often inaccurate, but a general rule of thumb is to take the number of fixtures—including water-consuming appliances—in your home and aim for that number in gallons per minute. That calculation method would allow for every fixture in your home to use about one gallon of water per minute. However, it’s best to leave the pump size determination to a professional technician, as they can ensure your pump is providing your home with sufficient water, especially during peak usage hours.
Some states and municipalities restrict well pump repair and replacement to licensed plumbers and technicians, while others don’t have requirements. However, it’s always a good idea to hire a certified plumber to repair or replace well pumps and water pumps. Certified professionals are far more likely to get the job done correctly and prevent future issues, which is especially important for ensuring access to clean water for your home.
It’s possible to fix a broken well pump yourself, but we don’t recommend it. Well pumps are hard to reach and service without the proper equipment, and even if you can reach the pump, it involves working in close proximity to water and electricity, which can be extremely dangerous. Any mistakes made during the repair process could contaminate your water supply or put you and your home at risk. Additionally, some states require that a licensed plumber carry out well pump repair. It’s worth it to hire a professional water pump repair service.
The average cost to repair a well pump is $950, with most well pump repairs ranging between $100 and $2,900. A few factors influence your total repair cost, including the component of your well that needs repair or replacement, the extent of the damage, the accessibility of the pump, and the age and size of your well pump. It might be more cost-effective to replace your well pump if it’s old or has multiple broken components, as the average cost to replace a well pump is $1,800.
Most professional well and water pump technicians will take between two and four hours to replace an above-ground well pump, while a submersible well pump typically takes four to five hours to access and replace. You can also ask your well pump replacement technician how long they expect the process to take, as some jobs take just an hour or two. Keep in mind that you’ll be without access to water during the replacement process, so plan ahead by showering early and stocking up on bottled water for drinking and cooking.
