Description of Work: Gave me advice over the phone based on what I told him was wrong w/ my Dryer.

Description of Work: The 5 1/2 year old whirlpool refrigerator was not maintaining cold temperature although the freezer was. Allen was able to schedule a service call later the same day. After taking the refrigerator apart, he determined it was the main board in the refrigerator and he happened to have a replacement with him. He swapped it out. There was a large build up of frost inside, on the back of the freezer also and using my hairdryer, he was able to melt this off. I let him know the floor was going to be replaced in a couple of weeks and I wanted to be sure their were no problems with the appliance leaking. The day after the repair, I left and was out of town. Upon my return, 1 1/2 weeks later, I returned home to find the top of the freezer completely covered in frost! I called and left a message for Alan that evening, requesting a return call the next day. I called the next am and after speaking with both his wife and Alan a few times, he agreed to stop over later in the day (initially said he wasn't able to return for another week-too busy). He thought the problem was probably the door seal and he did not have a seal for replacement. He stuffed a bit of paper towel under the seal to plump it up and left. Since this was a different problem than the 1st service call, he said he could charge me, but didn't. Again, I expressed my fear of water leaking with the upcoming new wood floor installation. He said to let him know if plumping up the seal helped, & he could order the seal if so. At this time there is still frost on the top of the bottom freezer. The floor installers have disconnected the water line running into the frig as the line had 4 kinks in it, 1 of which was very serious!! I do not understand why Alan/1st class Appliance did not look at the lines, particularly since my concern of leaking water/new floor was very clear. Although the costs with 1st Class Appliance are very reasonable, I no longer trust Alan's ability/work and will not use him again.

Description of Work: My freezer in my ref rig was frosting over, and the refrigerator was freezing tender items even at the 1 setting. When I called, he immediately thought the door was not closing properly. I said it appeared that it was closing properly. but when he came, he said it was out of line, removed the door, fixed it and there is no more frost in the freezer. However, the refrigerator is still running very cold. it's on 1 and still is very cold and items are freezing. He's coming back to look at it. But the service was prompt, and he did fix most of the original problem. I'm confident he'll figure out what else is wrongl

Description of Work: Refrigerator was periodically leaking water from each side of the door. Repairman recognized the problem immediately (design defect in a part) and had the re- designed repair part with him. The whole process was completed in about fifteen minutes.

Description of Work: Replaced oven igniter in a gas stove.
