Two Men & A Truck

The guys were great, friendly on time and very patient even when having to get a big freezer down our awkward basement steps. They moved us to a storage unit while we worked on our new home. Hiring them again to move us into our finished home.

They were on time, easy to schedule. There was a problem where something got broken.

The move took a long time. Overall, they did a very good job. Only reason I gave them a B is because they didn't park where I told them to as a results it took a lot longer to move. They had to go three times as far with all the boxes. I think they did a super job for what they were asked to do. They came on time, right when we asked them to be. They were professional other then not parking where I had asked. It turns out though that the apartment complex was the ones that told them they couldn't park where I had asked.

It seemed just fine until we started the unpacking of the boxes. For example, I personally carefully packed a set of very good Japanese dinnerware that my dad got after WWII while serving as a physician in the Navy, helping those affected by the bomb. They managed to break a piece. Also opened a big wardrobe box...you would think clothes would be hanging in there, but nooo. They threw about 15 sweaters in the bottom of the box, then piled a bunch of shoes on top of them and, for good measure, finished up with a pile of bath towels. Today I unpacked two large boxes that contained all coats. Now, those I would expect to be hanging in a wardrobe box instead of rolled up haphazardly in a heap. They are totally wrinkled and we will have to spend, I would imagine, quite a bit of money to get them all professionally cleaned. Very disappointed.

We had a short window to move all of our stuff from one house to another. They showed up exactly when promised and got right to work. They were very professional and polite the entire time. We had a big move with 4 guys and 2 trucks and they worked well together to get the job completed. Would recommend their services in the future.

The packing was not the best, but we did get relocated

I actually used them twice in one year. They moved my office and my home and I will be using them again for a move to another state in the next few months.

The moving team came in and immediately started wrapping dressers drawers and other furniture in plastic so that the furniture did not have to be emptied. They took apart our beds, even removing the air from our air bed. The whole house was loaded in the truck,so fast that It was completed much faster than I ever expected. When the truck reached our new location, the sme speed was seen. They set up the furniture where ever we indicated, including putting together the beds. Everything was done from start to finish in four and a half hours. It took so much stress away, giving us time to feel settled before night time.

They did very well. No items were damaged. They arrived on time and worked fast- the worked very hard and did their job well. I have no real complaints. They could improve on communication slightly, but all told they were far above par. I would definitely use this company again. They are a much better option than using any of the large national chains we looked at.

They were slow to provide an estimate. Otherwise very good. Didn't lose or damage anything.

They did a great job. They showed up on time and did a quick job of loading thier truck, with everything being packed in a professional matter. When it came to unloading @ new house they took theur time and put things where we wanted them, and moved a few things after we shanged our minds. No dents or dings in the walls.

They handled our things carefully, and well. They were friendly, courteous, and easy to deal with. They are insured and bonded. And if you compare it to getting a uhaul, and hiring help, the price is about the same, or close.

They were very very polite and right on time. They called in advance. They were very cautious of my belongings. They completed the job in the time allotted. They moved things to the areas in the home where I wanted them. They were very personable.

Two guys showed up and started moving stuff. They worked hard, but it seemed like they didn't work together much, and I noticed they lifted with their backs, wore no gloves, and used few or no carts and straps. We've used professional movers before, and they employed a variety of labor-saving devices. This approach not only seemed to make it easier and faster on the movers, but it also helped them take better care of our items. We saw none of this with Two Men and a Truck. Frankly, it seemed a like a couple of high school kids on a summer job, and our possessions were treated accordingly. In subsequent days as we unpacked, we noticed scrapes and dents to our furniture and walls. Too many scrapes as far as we're concerned. A door was left off it its hinges at the old house, and there was a general sloppiness, disorganization, and lack of attention to detail. That and they kept taking cigarette breaks.

The movers arrived at my former home on time. loaded efficiently. Drove to my new condo, and unloaded fast, putting the furniture and boxes in the correct rooms and locations within the rooms. It was the easiest move I have ever had.

They were punctual, courtious, quick, careful and very reasonable. I will use them again.

Everything went great! No mishaps, nothing broken. And little trauma to me, other than wondering why I have so much stuff!

They are excellent, they get A all the way and they are good.

They scratched a wall when we were moving a couch and they did come back and replaced it. We didn't really have to ask, they just came back and did it. They helped us arrange the furniture too, they didn't just drop it off they placed it where we wanted it and took it upstairs.

I had used this company many years ago and found their service to be satisfactory. Now contemplating a long distance move, and seeing their good ratings on Angie's List, I called them a week ago. The rep took lengthy notes on all I wanted moved and came up with a sight-unseen estimate of $16,000. I was incredulous! The items consist essentially of a washer, dryer, refrigerator, 2 curio cabinets, a few small side tables, and multiple boxes. No beds, no sofas, no chairs, nothing heavy except those items mentioned. The telephone rep set up an appointment for an estimator to come to my home today to actually see the items being moved and give a more accurate esstimate. I did not contact any other companies for estimates, because I wanted to see what this comany had to say, so a week went by. A phone call at 12 noon today came from the original rep asking a bunch more questions and confirming that the second fellow would be here at 1:30. A few minutes later he called again, saying in essence that they could not compete with other companies on a long-distance move--in other words--"go find somebody else". This would all be fine and dandy if he had told me this a week ago. I have wasted a full week when I could have been finding another company and getting estimates from someone who actually wanted my business. They wasted my time and my energy; to me this was very unprofessional and discourteous.

Two Men And A Truck I have been very satisfied with Two Men And A Truck, and I have used them before. They very thorough, very quick, very professional, take good care of your belongings, wrap your furniture, protect you items with wrap, don't lallygag, always working not just putting time on the clock and they do a good job. I never use anyone else.

They were phenomenal. I would use their services again in the future.

I would give them an B overall and an A for everything else.

They are very popular because they are good. They are actually all over the country and even international. I think that their headquarters is here in Lansing. The fellows who came were very responsive and very helpful. They showed up right on time. They were careful with everything they did.
