 + 0 moreI went to the shop, met John Michael. We discussed my bathroom remodel. I setup an appointment for him to come out and perform an estimate. I was upfront in telling him that I am getting multiple estimates. He later called me back and canceled my appointment, stating that he was no longer interested in providing me with an estimate. I would of paid for the estimate, he didn't offer that as an option.
Description of Work: I wanted an estimate for a bathroom remodel.

 + 2 moreKami is very professional and a fabulous contact to have with this company. She was knowledgable about her products, helped us be as economical as possible, and was genuine about the products and options they had available. If you're looking for cabinetry, go to The Kitchen Shop.
Description of Work: I got bids on Midcontinent cabinetry, countertops and sinks for 2.5 baths. Kami Kosloski was incredibly helpful, followed up perfectly without bothering me, and really knew her stuff. We're not going with these cabinets purely because we're running out of budget, but I would not hesitate to return to The Kitchen Shop and ask for Kami personally. I highly recommend both her and this company.

 + 1 moreThe cabinet tops were not level or even, which complicated the job. The workmen took care to make sure the new counter top matched up properly to the back splash. Following the installation we discovered several small nicks in the granite and the workmen came back took care of those. We worked with Kami and Greg at the Kitchen Shop. They guided us through this process and were very helpful and professional. They answered all questions and took care of our concerns promptly. The workmen were prompt, professional and conscientious The job site was left clean and tidy. We are very pleased with the final result. We have done business with the Kitchen Shop in the past and chose them for this project based on our past experience and their good reputation.
Description of Work: Removed the old counter top, sink and plumbing connections. Removed the appliances. Took measurements of the cabinet tops and prepared the cabinet tops for installation of a Granite counter top. Installed the Granite Counter top, sink and reconnected the plumbing. Reinstalled the appliances.

Description of Work: Kitchen Shop staff were very helpful in the selection of materials and in giving advice on materials. All workmen who came for measurements, preparation of the areas, plus those who installed the new countertops and the sinks in the two bathrooms, were very competent and did excellent work. This included replacement of all countertops in the kitchen plus the installation of a new sink. They also replaced the two sinks and counter tops in the bathrooms. We are very pleased with the results.

 + -1 moreIt went well overall. The quality of the work is very good. The installation of the hood was tricky, involving opening up the ceiling and routing around joists, which added $1000 to the cost, and the matching of the new paster on the ceiling is not perfect (but also not noticeable). We also waited a long time to get the rails that we ordered with the hood and were disappointed that the external fan unit does not have a cover (not made by manufacturer).
Description of Work: Installed gas cooktop, sink, disposal, and externally-vented island hood. We purchased the hood and disposal from them, which amounted to more than half of the cost.
