Didn't do a good job since I had 2 sprinkler heads freeze and crack. I always had them do startup and winterize but why waste money as startup was a joke.

Not so well. The provider said he set the sprinklers to start at 7:00 AM; they come on at 3:10 PM. His explanation to my wife was too fast and very technical.My wife didn't fully understand because we never had an underground system before.

Mark and his team were timely and professional. When unforeseen delays occurred, they were quick to remedy the situation and communicated with me on a regular basis to explain the situation and then they delivered what they promised. Mark took extra time both while bidding on my irrigation system and after installation to make sure I was comfortable with everything. I would recommend this Company to anyone and after the great experience I just had, I plan to move my lawn care business to them as well. Bottom line, great customer service at a very fair price.

Getting this company to bid on our project was like pulling teeth. We called to get a quote and were told that someone would contact us to come meet with us to review our needs. After a week with no phone call, we contacted them again and were told that people had been on vacation and they were backed up. I received a call about a day later from Carl to set up an appointment to review our yard. We made an attempt to meet that evening but Carl did not show up. He said the next day that my phone messages had not come through. I called the following morning and he stated that he was just leaving my property - without letting me know he was coming, ringing the doorbell or even attempting to meet with me?? Since he didn't meet with me or call to ask any questions, he made all the wrong assumptions on how we wanted the sprinkler system designed. He also didn't take the time to look at the basement plumbing hookup or look into the capacity of our well. (My suspicion is that he never actually came to our home, but used the satellite feature on Google Maps to see our property and build his quote off of that.) The quote we received was late, high-priced and without sufficient detail (No brand of sprinklers system specified). Bottom line, we went with HTA Companies, saved thousands off of Spartan's quote, and got a great Hunter system installed quickly and professionaly. Based on this experience, I would NOT recommend this company.

My wife and I called a few places locally to get estimates for an irrigation system for both our back and front yard. We have plans for a patio in the backyard so we wanted to make sure they were aware of that. The guy from Spartan came out and I walked around the yard with him for a few minutes explaining our needs and discussed a rain sensor and a couple other options. Once he was comfortable with our needs he got a measuring tape and walked off the yard measurements. When he was leaving, he said he would try to get us an estimate by the end of the week, but he said it would be more likely the following week. I told him I was comfortable with that. That is the last time I have heard from him or from Spartan. I have to say that I am disappointed.

Having financed commercial construction for many years and having built three houses, I'm fairly familiar with the dynamics of construction. Spartan Irrigation did everything right. I contacted them through their website and didn't receive a response right away. When I called to follow-up, a pleasant young woman explained that they had been overwhelmed due to the dry weather. The following week Carl Eggleston, the manager, came out and talked with me. He emailed me an estimate later that afternoon with costs broken down, which enabled me to decide which bells and whistles I wanted to purchase. After receiving the executed form, Carl contacted me to give me a tentative date on which the work would begin. That ended up being pushed back a few days, due to the increased time it has taken to do the work in these dry conditions. Their plumber came out and was pleasant and efficient in doing his part of the work. The workers came out on July 2, 2012 to begin installing the system. They were friendly and pleasant. I've never seen anyone work so hard in the 100 degree temperatures we had that week. My mail carrier had trouble reaching my mailbox and I observed one of the installers taking the mail from her and putting it in my mailbox. They completed the job on the 5th of July. Someone came out to pat down the dirt and overseed a few days later. The following week, Carl came out to show me how to use the controller and picked up flags. Spartan Irrigation set reasonable expectations, communicated with me and explained any changes, followed up and completed the work in a timely manner and were very pleasant to work with. As a single woman, I sometimes run into different attitudes when contracting for work on my home. This was a great experience and my lawn is on it's way to being amazing again!!!

They did a good job. My only complaint was that there were several mix-ups with scheduling. Some of this was my fault as I had to make changes, but when the changes were made those changes somehow didn't make it onto the schedule and no one showed up. In the end though, I was completely satisfied with the employee who did the work. He explained everything to me, including reviewing the overall system set-up with me as I've only lived here two years.

We are greatly pleased with Spartan! They gave us a great deal for the front and back (split between 1700 this year and 1700 next year, nice warranty, and a rain sensor). We did a lot of research with 4 different companies, and Spartan came out to be the lowest in addition to the best customer reviews. Their response time is great! They do an excellent job on cleaning up their work sites, and even come back to seed the areas where lines were installed. I have had no problems with their system, and we can't wait to have the backyard installed next spring. Thank you Spartan for being an exceptional company!
