+ -1 moreI think we've used them twice. You know you get the stones and the cracking. That went fine; no issues. Again, very professional; you know, no problem. Cost was covered by insurance. The insurance companies if they can just get the chip sealed, they're saying okay good we'll cover that cost. They could have said oh we gotta replace the whole thing. No, they just did what they had to do and so that was impressive. Quality was fine. On punctuality, I made an appointment. They had me down and took care of me right away.
Description of Work: They decided all we had to do was put a little filler. So they didn't replace the windshield. We just fixed the crack.

Description of Work: Safelite AutoGlass replaced the rear window of my 2014 Town & Country. I went there in June of 2015 after a garage door at my workplace came down on my vehicle as I was exiting. I went there immediately after the accident, because they said they could clean out the class and put plastic over it until the glass came in. They said the glass window would take a day to get because it had to be ordered. I made an appointment to go back in the next day to get the glass replaced, and the glass hadn't arrived yet, so I waited at least a half an hour before they were able to start. I wished they would have called me to tell me the glass hadn't arrived yet, but that doesn't negate the excellent customer service I received from start to finish. Even though the glass hadn't arrived, the front desk man kept checking with me to make sure I was ok and to update me on the status of the glass. Then, when it arrived, all of the workers worked very quickly and efficiently. I would recommend this place for top-notch customer service. The clean-out and plastic covering was free of charge, which really impressed me because I needed that done immediately so I could pick up my children from school, and the shattered glass had fallen into the rear seat that my children use. They did a great job on that. The next day, when they did the actual replacement of the glass window, I paid $255.40, which I considered to be fair.

Description of Work: Overall, they were excellent as far as customer service. I had a little trouble getting the windshield correctly mounted but the manager came out and finished the job and corrected it. The extra effort that he made to get the job done right was great.

Description of Work: I would never use this company again. They had to replace my windshield twice. The first time, the trim was not sitting properly. They came back and put an adhesive on it. I did not feel like the glass ever got put in correctly. When my window cracked again, I went somewhere else.

The staff was very polite and engaging, explained everything he was doing. the job went quickly, less than 15 minutes. the work was clean and the seal is still in place with no spreading of thechip. Unsure of date of service, but I keep getting bugged by Angie's to answer this.

+ -1 moreI started with a different provider, selecting a date that was convenient for me. They called me the day before to say they had double-booked appointments and wanted to bump me to a less convenient date, so I called my insurance provider and let them choose Safelite. Not only did they replace my windshield on the date and time I had originally chosen, they came to my home to do the work! They were true to their word every step of the way, including a call from technician Timothy Pickell that he was on his way. There were touches I hadn't been aware of or expected, too: when Timothy told me the job was finished, I discovered that he had washed all the windows and vacuumed the car! Outstanding. I'm reserving judgment on the cost since I only paid the standard deductible. I know some providers will deal with you on the deductible, and that wasn't offered in this case. The service was so good that I didn't push it. I would strongly recommend Safelite of Lansing.

+ -1 more2 months after installation, there was unexplained cracking in the windshield. Looked like one crack went up to the top seem of the windshield, where i noticed extra goop around the clip that supports it. When i took it to safelite they insisted something must have hit it, although there was no chipping. I told them nothing hit it and that it happend during my drive to work. Ultimately they denied having anything wrong on their part. What upset me the most was that i was dealing with the manager and he was unwilling to give me any sort of break on a new one. I told him i would not be returning if there was no kind of discount. I went down the road to a more reputable business and they were able to install one at my house for 117.00 cheaper. Im not sure why the window started cracking but i would not reccomend them for workmanship nor there customer service.
