Description of Work: Replaced lavatory drain pipe (galvanized to PVC) from below trap to main sewer line, and snaked drain to assure full pathway was clear (not sure if the follow-up snaking was altogether necessary, but....).

Description of Work: Removed two basket strainers from kitchen sink. Provided two new ones and installed. Reinstall piping under sink and resealed all threads.

Description of Work: Main drain replaced going from the tub on the second floor to the first floor.

Description of Work: Fixed dripping shower faucet that we couldn't repair with a simple washer. It's an old faucet that needed to be reworked. He knew where to go, what to do, and it's now working great.

Description of Work: Shawn Denny was called as a plumber to give estimate on installing a new electric start gas cooktop. We needed a new electrical outlet for that and a new gas shut off. Was told he had an electrician and also the name of a counter installer to install new laminate countertops for the kitchen as well. He also had someone to repair walls when taking off old countertops. His electrician would do the outlet for the gas cooktop and install a new recessed light to replace an old flourescent one above our kitchen sin. Shawn would take out and replace a sink and faucet we purchased along with the gas cooktop. He recommended we get our sink and faucet from Builder's plumbing and a clerk there to help with the selection. Called Counter Fitter, Inc the countertop installer he recommended, quickly received a visit and and estimate from him and then from Shawn and decided to go with them as was very convenient. By calling a plumber we actually got a contractor to take care of everything.

Description of Work: We had 2 gas lines hooked up to the clothes dryer and stove (formerly electric) and a junction put in so that we can later run gas to our outdoor drill. We also had our old dishwasher disconnected and the new one put in. Additionally, we had the ice line hooked up to the refrigerator.

Description of Work: Price was part of an overall remodeling project that was managed by a contractor so I cannot report the specific pricing to the plumbing. The overall project was extensive -- complete bath and kitchen remodel. Miteff Plumbing did an excellent job on the plumbing for the project. Shawn was very helpful and very responsive. I would use him again for any plumbing need and highly recommend. Complete kitchen and bath remodel: Complete renovation of kitchen: took down a wall, changed from electric to gas range, moved all the appliances to had to re-plumb, etc., Major update to bathroom: converted old-fashioned tub/shower to full walk-in shower, moved bathroom sink, etc. Also, installed PVC pipe in basement where old cast iron pipe was old and had holes wearing through.

Description of Work: This was a kitchen remodel. The drywall was repaired and skim coated (after I removed old wallpaper). The painter put primer on all the walls and the ceiling, then two coats of paint. (O'Leary--which a retired painter told me is top notch paint.) I had a full-wall bookcase built which was also primed and painted. This was in an alcove near the kitchen and is a beautiful thing. All my oak cabinets were primed and painted white. The upper doors over the counter were removed and glass installed in the center section. The counter is 13 1/2 feet long and 36" wide. The contractor removed the old countertop, slide-in range, old sink and faucet. The electrician put in two ceiling fans, several new plugs and switches and hooked up the new range. New countertop installed, new sink, new faucet. All hardware--new handles and hinges--put on. All trim primed and painted. The tile guy installed the tile--glass and stone--and then the next day grouted and sealed. He suggested a way to trim the outside edge--this is a side-splash as opposed to a backsplash as I have an open counter on both sides. All the old items were removed unless I wanted to keep them. Everyone arrived when they said they would and left at a reasonable hour each day. They only broke for lunch and rarely used my bathroom--some people think that's great. They were welcome to use mine. Every guy was friendly, respectful of me and my home. All the work is of the highest quality--and completed in a timely fashion. So I had plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, drywall and repair, tile work. This was the second time this plumber/contractor was used. We had our master bathroom remodeled in 2011 and they did superb work then too.

Description of Work: We called them out because we had a puddle of water in the basement that appeared to be coming from a hole or crack in the metal pipe that the kitchen sink drains into. When they came and told me it would be how much it would cost to replace that section of pipe (~$90) I asked them to also take a look at our leaky bathroom faucet as well. It turned out that we had some corrosion issues in the water shutoff valve as well. So I had two guys working on two different projects at the same time. They repaired the drain pipe, replaced the hot water shutoff valve to the bathroom sink, and replaced the springs in both the hot and cold handles (the cause of the leak). They were in and out in about an hour and after the Angie's list coupon it was about $170 total (about half of what I was bracing myself potentially for based on some of the other leaky drain pipe amounts I had seen on Angie's list for other projects). It turned out that I was probably pretty lucky that the damage was only about a foot or so from the end of the pipe :) I was very satisfied with their work and would definitely use them again and recommend them to others!

Description of Work: Changed outdoor faucet head. He purchased a different one for us than he usually uses per our request and was willing to do so. And he bought it. Also changed the insides of a dripping Delta faucet. Estiamte provided up-front was accurate; we paid the difference between outdoor faucet he usually installs and one we wanted; fair. Came on time with a colleague, got right to work, did the tasks, did not waste time, and was very professional. Would definitely contact him again when we have further plumbing needs.

Description of Work: We did a bathroom remodel after we found out our tile shower in our 12 year-old house was leaking. We had the shower torn out and replaced, the tub, vanity, and toilet removed so that we could re-tile our entire bathroom.

Description of Work: Shawn and his crew did a excellent job replacing my Water Heater. My previous water heater was diagnosed with a crack in the liner. I called around and had a couple of people come out to do a estimate. By far, his knowledge, responsiveness, and attention to detail was evident once the Water Heater was installed. He took the time to explain to me the operations of the heater, work he had done and made me feel confident that I had chosen Miteff Plumbing to do the job. THANKS SHAWN

Description of Work: Shawn Denny and his crew completely gutted the old bathroom. After it was all prepped we had a new and larger tile shower with large ceramic tile in neutral colors, and matching tile floor installed. They also installed a high rise toilet, a Kohler pedestal sink with chrome faucets--which we chose--and a terrific Delta shower head with hand-held accessory. Plus two shiny grab bars. The shower includes a niche for shampoo, shower soap, etc. We opted for no other shelves or seats. The shower floor is made of smaller coordinating tiles, and the curb is topped with a beautiful piece of coordinating marble. Mr. Denny is the plumber as well as the contractor and the guys he had working on this job are all top notch; the electrician who put up the new lighting also changed all the outlets, even hung the mirror and a small cabinet we wanted over the toilet instead of a medicine cabinet. The tile guy also put in the crown molding around the ceiling. The painter thin coated all the remaining walls and ceiling before applying the actual paint. Whomever was scheduled to work arrived almost exactly when they said they would and cleaned up before they left each day. They took away all the old bathroom furnishings and work debris. The total time to complete the beautiful bathroom was approximately three weeks--allowing for grout to dry, etc. It's been a long time since we've such friendly, professional, and skilled people who take pride in their work do any kind of work in our home. Also, while the plumber was here we had him fix a couple of other things we'd been putting off, he resolved a hot water issue, installed a whole-house water filter and he even hooked up our new refrigerator the day it arrived. We have not even one tiny complaint and would hire this company again in a flash.

Description of Work: We are in the process of adding a full bathroom to our basement. Had new drain and water lines ran for the bathroom. Had some existing pipes moved to create more head room. Did additional work so that when we go to install the toilet and vanity it will be easier on us. Gave us trade-secrets to what makes the work easier.
