Maloney Carpet One Floor & Home

This is the third carpet Maloney has installed for us, so obviously we trust them to do a good job. And we were not disappointed this time. We thought the result was top notch and the guys on the crew were friendly and courteous. Lowell and Tom at the store were also very helpful and answered all our questions.

Excellent. No sales pressure, timely and neat installation. The owner came to our house to do the measurement and laid out the cuts to waste as little as possible. A real pro.

Over a period of several weeks, Maloney Carpet One's subcontractor installed porcelain tiles in two bathroom floors and ceramic tiles on about 50% of the wall surface in the two bathrooms. The subcontractor was an artist. He suggested some changes to the original concept that we readily incorporated into the design. The result is beautifully stunning. The tile and grout work is near perfect; the few minor imperfections simply add to the beauty. The linear drain in the walk-in shower works quite well. Scott at Maloney Carpet One was easy to work with. The cost seemed reasonable, especially given the beautiful results. We also felt confident that Maloney would address any issues that arose. NOTE: Tile work is dirty work; the concrete mud for the floors and walls, the powdered grout, and the process itself all contribute. Talk with your installer well before work starts about how to protect your house and minimize the mess. We invested considerable time cleaning both during and after the process, but the result was well worth it.

Danette and Tom did a great job helping us pick our tile. Tom Maloney spent over an hour making sure we saw all the possibilities and laid out tile side by side on the floor as we made our choices. The installers were great! Here on time every day. The work they did was truly professional! They worked quickly, they cleaned up after themselves, they did a great job. To say I am pleased would be an understatement! The bathrooms and entranceway look like new!

First day tore out old tile. This was a dusty job. Bathroom and bedroom really dusty. Put down heat mat and thin set it. 2nd day laid ditra mat and tile. 3rd day grouted all joints reinstalled toilet wiped out tub of dust along with sink leaving toilet walls and everything else covered in dust. My wife took over 4 hours cleaning up after them. The electrician installed wiring and thermostat on first day and between everybody they through out all the instructions. After I complained they found the install sheets. Woo woo, it's installed I don't need them. I got the high end thermostat that's programmable and I'd like to understand it. They sent me a email with PDF on it but not even the right one. I want the real book that I paid for. Why should I have to spend another $10 in ink and paper. Would I use them again. The actual job was handled good, looks great and works great but buyer beware. I didn't think I'd have to do their clean up. I've had a new kitchen done, a bath and bedroom downstairs and when everything was done no cleanup needed. UPDATE. MR. MALONEY personally came by on Oct. 10th to tell us how sorry they were for the mess and gave us a $100 gift card to Eastwood Town Center. They really stepped up to the plate. No matter who you hire to do whatever make sure there is a clean up clause or you could be on the hook for it.

Installers not very friendly. No service with a smile. I removed old carpet myself and wasn't quite finished when they arrived but did not hold them from doing their job, no more than fifteen minutes.

We are a repeat customer of Maloney One Carpet - having used them for design and product services for a master bath remodel and carpet repair for another are of the house in the past. They contiue to be a top notch local business with exceptional customer service and product support. I would not hesitate to reccomend them - even for a product that they might not have their showroom - as they have tracked down products I've seen elsewhere and provided me not only a better price, but great service too!

Maloney Carpet One did a terrific job helping me pick a laminate that wouldn't clash with the maple hardwood flooring in the kitchen, but also wouldn't look like I was trying to match it exactly. Instead, they look very nice side by side. The carpet was in good shape, and the team that came out did a good job removing it carefully and they rolled it and put it in my garage for me to donate to a family in need. The new flooring looks beautiful and it's easy to keep clean!

Very professional, cann't even tell where to patches are. They installed the carpet originally, and have done another repair for us (water damage). Really good work.

The carpet installer (2) were effecient and very professional (also personable). They were quiet in their efforts, cleaned up everything after they finished the job and were helpful in moving the furniture. They did the entire job in about 1.5 days, and the final product was perfect. They made sure we were totally happy with the final job before they left. The tile installers were equally professional and as quiet as could be expected. There was a minimal of disturbance to our home and they explained everything to us. We viewed the final project with them before they left. The end result was beautiful Both teams were highly professional, minimallly intrusive, and respectful of our home. We would definitely use them again and recommend them. Both teams were task oriented (no cell phone interruptions or unnecessary breaks or disruptions).

I went to Maloney because they had a good rating on Angie's List. I'm glad I checked. I'm very happy with all aspects of their service from the salesman I dealt with to the actual installation and final billing. The installers, especially for the tile, were professional and kept me informed every step of the way. The tile took three days and involved having to remove a layer of tar they discovered under the old tile. Since the estimate had only been a guess as to what they would find when they removed the old tile, they alerted me that the tar removal would involve an extra charge. The finished product is beautiful. They even fixed a huge crack that had developed along the entire length of the foundation under the tile. The bedrooms look great and the finish work where the carpet meets the hardwood in the hall is so much better than the last job. The installers arrived right on time and were all done by 1:00 pm. They even moved my heavy furniture and took apart my bed then put it back together for a nominal fee. Even with the extra tar removal, the final bill was within $20 of the estimate. I'm going back to have my kitchen and bath done by Maloney.

I purchased dura ceramic tile with grout for my Jack and Jill baths in one home, and a house full of carpeting for a three bed townhome. I took paint samples and the sales person was great about helping me find tile and carpet to match. The installers were obviously very experienced and did the job right. I had the tile placed on a slant, like a diamond shape and it turned out so great. Eventually I will use their services again. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Their products are of high quality, but a bit pricy. You need very experienced installation people, tho ugh, because you will live with your flooring for years, so it is worth the extra price. They also have a warehouse in the back you can visit with discount prices where they sell overstocks and what not, so you can probably find something within your price range.

The products (vinyl and ceramic) seem to be very good. The installers (their subcontractors) were very good. They also referred me to a carpenter who could do the preparatory work, and he was very good. There are two areas that I am not pleased with. First is the absence of a tiling design from the showroom, which resulted in having to make the many design decisions on-the-go while the installer was working. Fortunately the installer was patient and helpful, even removing part of his work to get the intended design the way we wanted it. Although I would not expect a detailed and scaled design from a "big box" store (like Home Depot), I did expect it from a specialty business. The second area was responsiveness. For example, since I knew that I needed to do preparatory work, I wanted to know exactly what the installer would need completed (walls, subfloors, edges) before he could begin. The field rep did come to visit, but was not helpful or specific in his answers. Another example: even though I kept the store informed when I had the new drain installed, they did not bother to let me know that a special drain was needed. As a result, installation was delayed slightly and the plumber had to return, remove the newly-installed drain, and put in the special drain before tiling could begin. As a final example, the tile installer arrived with no prior briefing on what was needed, the design decisions that we had discussed, or even the drawing that I had prepared to show dimensions, etc. So, aside from finding good installers, whatever part of the cost was for project coordination was wasted, in m opinion. I might buy material from them in the future, but I would not buy installation from them. I'd look on this list to find my own installers.

Everyone I dealt with dduring my purchase/installation was very professional and helpful. I didn't shop for price but picked Maloney because of recommendations from some friends.

Excellent customer service, both in sales and in installation. Prompt replies to all queries, lots of help in the store. Excellent installation, done in an efficient and tidy manner, both in ceramic tile and in carpet. Great experience overall.

They were on time. Very polite and answered any questions I had and all was in place when job was complete.

The overall experience went very well. They were really professional. They came in and put the under floor on. They just did it very well. We have seen in the past, where they did on the side or on the edge of the floor. They cut the vinyl and they made kind of a plan of it which they were apparent. Then they took it to their place and cut it. When they brought it in, they were able to do it without any themes and they did it perfectly. It was just nice, not to ever have a theme. They could do it without or with fewest themes. Over the time it could just open up or it was not a site looking at the floor without the theme, so we avoided taking one. But if they were really good; then probably we couldn't have seen it too much, but it would have been there. The ones that were older we can say they have been there for years. They did a very quick and efficient job. They were not cheap. Their pricing was okay for what they did but we got to pay higher price for what they did. Their warranties were better; as I have heard from other people that when they ever had a problem, they would just come and do it right. We just knew that we were paying higher price, but we were going to get good job and if anything goes wrong they will stand behind their product. The people who came out were pretty much on time. The one who did the preliminary also came out on time.

I would return for future projects.
