Good. Fast. Stump grinding could have been better. The gentleman was understandably nervous about electrical and gas lines nearby. So he did not grind the stump all the way.

J&J Hardwoods was easy to work with. Prompt return phone calls, easy scheduling, prompt delivery. I paid just for a drop off, not for having them stack wood for me. Wood quality was good, with about 5% odd cuts and miscellaneous scrap ( a touch more than vendors I'd used before). As with almost all vendors, the wood was not yet seasoned, and will benefit from a year of drying. I ended up starting to burn into it by February, and was pleasantly surprised. While slightly damp, it still burned well. Better than some previous vendors. They'll be my preferred vendor from here on out.

The removal went very well. The tree was quite old and falling apart, with braches falling down during every storm. The branches of the tree were over the power lines to the house as well as the roof of our back porch. They were able to get the tree out without harming the power lines or the porch roof. A portion of the tree did fall on the nearby chain-link fence. However, they were able to straighten it out and fence looks as if it hadn't had anything happen to it. The only problem I had was that they didn't call before they came over, as we had asked them to. Overall, we were very pleased with their work, how fast, efficiently, and carefully they worked. I would definitely recommend them!

You'll get good wood but they'll charge extra for stocking and their prices are a bit high. I would use them again. I'll just end up grumbling that I have to pay extra to get it stock for me versus dumped in my driveway.

John does a great job. His wood is well seasoned and excellently cut. I've used J and J Hardwoods for a lot of years. A wide verity of species of wood available. Generally I get the 'Mixed Hardwoods'. He'll stack it for you, but I stack my own. I don't remember the price, but I don't get sticker shock. I'm going to order a cord right now!

I needed one face cord of wood, and had to have it the day I called J and J. They fit the delivery in that afternoon. Good hardwood, already split, delivered, and stacked. He was very generous with his face cord, not stingy as some providers are. He was polite and kept the delivery site clean. Couldn't really ask for more. The price is in the range for this area, but the wood is better than the last batch I got from another provider. I will use him again, for sure.
