The best thing I like about them was that in February when we were out of town our furnace went out. Our house sitter alerted us to the problem. We contacted them on Superbowl Sunday, quickly got a real person on the phone, and within just 2 hours they had the heat running again! We only had to pay for the part because the labor and service charges are includeed a service contract we have with them. With the service contract you get a yearly inspection and they will come out and fix your furnace for free with you only having to pay for necessary parts. Can't remember the exact cost of a service contract, but it is worth every penny!

Very punctual, professional, experienced.

I like the fact that they keep track of when they need to come out. They have been there in an emergency and fixed what needed fixing. It has not been a long wait time and if I have a serious problem they are here. I have a maintenance contract so that when they come out to do any repair work there is no labor charge, just complete material cost.

It has been a very satisfactory addition to the house. I've used them since frequently for seasonal checks of heating and A/C unit. The service people are always very professional and punctual. I've had no complaints.

The annual maintenance service is not a hit or miss thing. They check all the functions and check for carbon monoxide. They change belts if needed. I have used them for seventeen years and I have been satisfied with them. I have been very happy with their work. I trust them. I never question them. I never feel suspicious that I need to be concerned about not trusting them. I would recommend them. I don’t shop around for price because I figure there is not much difference between one and the other that is worth my time, trying to figure out who is the cheapest. I could find somebody cheaper but I never buy the cheapest of anything.

I got the tune-up because: (1) I'm new to this house and the furnace probably hasn't seen any TLC in a long while. (2) After the Consumers Energy rebate, it should only be $27. The technician was absolutely awesome, very willing to talk to me about what he was doing, about my furnace, and about furnaces and random home stuff in general. He was professional. As far as I can tell, he did a good job on the tune-up itself. My complaints are: (1) Over the phone I understood he'd be here at 8 am, but only when I called at 8:10 did they explain it was really some kind of time range, even though mine was the first appointment of the day.... He got here at 8:40, making me later to work than planned. (2) He brought up several factors that could potentially disqualify me for the rebate, while he was working. Hager Fox should have mentioned these things when I made the appointment. It worked out in the end though. He also forgot to tape a hole he made in the exhaust for a probe, but was quick to fix it the next day, literally waiting for me in the street when I arrived home from work. Much appreciated. I might use this company again. I like the price and technician. I don't like that I have to ask all the questions over the phone to squeeze information out of them that they should volunteer.

They come twice a year. My husband changes the filter periodically. When they schedule an appointment, they ask me what my schedule is, come when it's convenient for me, call before they come, and they come on time. I give them high ratings and will continue to use them in the future.

Hager Fox Heating & Air Cond Co were out in November because the igniter on our furnace went out and they fixed it for us. My personal experience with them has been very good. In fact we are using them to put in a supplemental heating plus an air condition system. We are making the down payment on that today. Right now we have a broiler, a fuel oil system; and we are putting in an electrical system, so we are going to have both. We did it so that we don’t have to depend on fuel oil.

I am very happy with the service they provided.They gave me a free estimate (one company actually charged me for an estimate). The price was very reasonable for the work conditions. The crawlspace, where they performed the service, does not have an easy access. The work was done quickly. If needed, I will definitely use them again.

They were on Angie's List. My overall experience was excellent. The quality of work was good. There was a problem that they took care of for me. The existing pipe was not insulated and they insulated if for me at no additional charge. I appreciated that they took care of that for me.

The company was very responsive to the call about the water problem and scheduled a tech to come that afternoon. Both techs were very professional in their review of the problem and in efforts to solve it. Both calls were made under warranty (10 years) so no charges were involved.

They where wonderful. Came out and did an estimate and suggested the most economical unit for our needs. Came out the next day to install the furnace. They where great especially given it was their busiest time of year.

They were quite thorough and prompt. Their price was right in the ball park.

It was a non-ducted air-conditioning system that they put it. I spent about $10000 or higher. They did really nice work and quickly and before the heat wave.

We spent $100 for the last service. We have been working with them for years. They know what they are doing. They have got the products and they have been in business for probably 70 years.

Very hassle free day. The technician arrived VERY early and went about his work. He protected my carpets and took care not to let the cat out. The huge pile of old metal and wire was nicely cleaned up. When he needed to call in a second tenchician to help lift equipment, he made sure I knew there was another authorized person on site. It was a very "tidy" piece of work and the house is very comfortable in this horrid heat.

I seem to recall having hired this company a few years ago to do some heating work and/or air duct cleaning in my home. They were "tops" for this, which is why I hired them for our A/C woes. Our A/C went out a full week before they could get to us. Having to wait a whole week for them to come out was a bit ridiculous especially because it has not been a hot spring and the heating season is just beginning. I gave them my home and work phone numbers, specifying which number was the home number and which was the work number. I ended up taking the full afternoon off from work to wait for them to show up because they could only give me a four-hour time slot, too. When I made the appointment, I asked them to call before they came out, but I didn't want to take any chances. Sure enough, they called all right, but they called my HOME PHONE! (Why call the HOME PHONE to tell me you're coming? I provided the work phone number for this purpose. This should've been obvious and is why I provided the work phone number to BEGIN WITH.) The job went all right except that the tech had to go back to the office for more freon even though I'd told the rep a wk in advance that I thought that this may be the problem. There should've been freon on the truck prior to the tech's arrival. I do not know if I was charged for this extra trip. I thought that the $88 JUST FOR THE CALL was a bit outrageous. I also did not appreciate the attitude of Denny, the technician. He was none too friendly and when I watched him hook up the anti-leak product and mentioned to him something to the effect of, "So it goes in there and then on down the hose," he snidely asked, "What hose?" like I am just some "dumb woman." And this was AFTER he'd referred to the same black tubing as "hose" when we were down in my basement checking out the furnace area! (So who's the dummy now?!) Yes. I might hire Hager Fox for my duct-cleaning needs once again, but I won't call upon them for any heating and cooling issues. And I certainly wouldn't want Denny back to my house again.

They came 3-4 times and weren't able to find the problem which was frustrating because they admitted the wasps were coming from the fireplace. But they persevered and finally found out that the outside hood was not installed correctly and they redid the hood venting it past the roof overhang and we've had no problems since. All this was free even though the warranty had expired.

They are pretty much on time. They took over from another company that was close by. They took over their accounts when they ran out of business. They run cleaning specials from time to time, and they seem to be on the up and up with their specials. This way they try to sell us more things than we need. We have them out normally every year, but I waited too long last time and they came out at a different time when their specials had expired. That way it cost me a little bit more money. I trust them pretty well, but not completely. I am not too happy with their professionalism. They use a lot of those types of experiences for training new people.

Great!! They were very nice over the phone. This could have wrecked our vacation and it didn't because they were so nice; also they were willing to deal with our housesitter.

The tech explained everything he did, including heading off a future problem caused by the original furnace installer. Arrived on time and performed professionally.

They are very responsive, good about answering questions, professional and friendly.

They were on time and stayed until the work was completed, and that was later than expected. They did not hesitate to present both positives and negatives of every option. We chose a less efficient air conditioner (saved us $1000) because you don't use it as often as a furnace in Michigan as pointed out by the company. When we ran into complication putting the furnace in they presented me with all the options in an honest and straight forward manner. Installing new HVAC equipment isn't a quiet process, but they did their best to make it as painless as possible. They even complimented my dogs.

In contrast to contractors I have used in the past, Nick (the tech doing the work) was very knowledgeable, was very thorough, and spent time explaining things in detail. That's the kind of service I expect.
