Description of Work: Todd called prior to arriving and answered all my questions and made sure my unit was clean and running properly. He also made me aware of possible rebates because I had the tune-up done. They are a neighborhood company that I'll gladly support whenever the need arises.

Description of Work: I purchased the big deal for the furnace and AC maintenance. Came through on time, verified everything was working, I do believe made a couple tweaks and clean all connections and burners. Also told me what to expect due to the age of my furnace. All in all a positive experience

Description of Work: We used Hager Fox for a repair on our 14 year old Coleman gas furnace a year ago and were so impressed with their quick response time and repair work we signed up for their annual service contract. We've already had several service calls this winter and each one has been covered 100% under our contract except for a small charge for a part or two. Having used several other local vendors before, we've found Hager Fox to be the company to call for fast and competent service. Their annual service plan is definitely a money-saver.

Description of Work: Had a problem with our furnace in December. It took over 2 weeks to get the part. It never worked correctly. I was the informed that because we opted for the repair, we were precluded from a $600 credit for a new furnace. My family had been using them for years. We will now go somewhere else!

We appreciate the feedback. Unfortunately, certain replacement parts are more difficult for us to acquire than others, particularly during the holidays. We apologize for the inconvenience this delay caused you. Replacing a heat exchanger in an 18 year old furnace is always a gamble. We typically advise against it. While replacing a heat exchanger will likely fix the immediate problem, there is no guarantee that the equipment failure didn’t cause a secondary failure elsewhere in the furnace. That was unfortunately the case in this situation. Bryant, the manufacturer of the furnaces we sell, offers a one-time option of replacing the heat exchanger at little to no charge, or a $600 credit towards a new furnace. Only one option may be chosen. If the replacement option is chosen and a second failure occurs, as in this situation, the $600 credit is no longer available, as the manufacturer has already provided additional goods. This scenario is rare. It is unfortunate, and we deeply apologize that the chosen option did not live up to your expectations. As we have previously mentioned over the phone, we will do everything in our power to continue to assist you in any way we can. We also appreciate that you have noted on your review that you would hire us again in the future. ~Hager Fox

Description of Work: Angelo came out in the afternoon and did an inspection and cleaning on my 14 year old Kenmore Furnace. He was very polite and explained what he was doing. Cleaned carbon build up on ignitor. He took his time too which I was very impressed with. Would definitely call them again.
